Question for moms of boys!

Whether you swayed or had your boys naturally, I am just curious how many times you DTD while TTC? I am trying to plan for my sway, and some people say to just DTD once, right before O, while others say something different... just wondering what people had done (or are planning to do!!) to get boys. Thanks!

We never tried long. We just did what we always did. We DTD every 3 to 5 days like we normally did. I never knew when I was ovulating. In fact our 3rd we were trying not to.

I think we tried for every other day starting at about day 10 (ovulating around day 14).

I would have to say several times a day, everyday, or every other day... just not during AF. Both time we were on vacation so it was more often.

With both boys I think we DTD right after AF finished and then once appr. 5-6 days later when I o-ed, so one attempt with 5-6 days abstain.

When ttc i always jumped on board as soon as i saw ewcm and did it the next day also.

We did dtd everyday until after I O'd ...started around CD 10 and did 12 to 15 days in a row, once per day....I always proped myself up for 30 minutes after as well....we have 2 boys

We DTD once every 5 days and with DS1 the one day was on O. With DS2 I messed up a shettles timing because I got the stomach flu and freaked out thinking it would delay O, well it didn't so what was supposed to be a 2 day cutoff was really the day of O! So before that actual attemp we DTD 2 days prior.

At the time, my hubs and I were DTD constantly. We were like horny teenagers! lol. I say: have a lot of sex and hope for the best!! Blue dust to you.

Only once with my first son and then many times with the others. At least 3 or 4 times!!

Queen, I think this go-round you should NOT DTD if you have EWCM, sorry if that's stating the obvious! ;)

Queen, I think this go-round you should NOT DTD if you have EWCM, sorry if that's stating the obvious! ;):rofl: I have to agree Atomic I just may have the most boy friendly ewcm around! I will be attempting to dry that ewcm up as much as i can!

I wonder if the two days leading up to O would be enough? I just don't know how long to abstain, etc. Such a hard decision!

With DS#1, it was pretty much every day during my fertile window and with DS#2, we DTD two days before O, the day of O and two days after O (I was doing basal temp rather than using OPKs, so I was trying to keep things active until I knew for certain I had ovulated).

With DS #1 it was all the time through O, with DS #2 it was one time day before O.

If I was trying for blue I would have DH release every 2-4 days and then DTD 2 DBO and on O. And I would have the big O every single day!!!!

PS - anyone else think this thread is super interesting because of the absolute LACK of any pattern at all?? Unlike on the "what we ate" threads when there was at least some similarity between the boy mom diets and the girl mom diets, there seems to be no common denominator at all.:think:

ITA Atomic ... I'm totally having a timing dilemma myself at the moment (I posted another thread about it) but I'm not SUPER concerned about it only b/c I do think timing sways minimally... so it is encouraging for me to see there isn't a true pattern here among those who do have boys. If anything, I think I'm leaning towards DTD again tonight... we had planned to do 0-2 and 0 but now that I'm O'ing a day early it'll be O-1 and O. I know what I'm wishing for when I blow out my birthday candles tonight....bring on the baby boy :-)
