we went for the elective early gender scan, after conceiving from a girl sway. is this picture "hopeless?" I am at peace with a boy at this point, but an early venous blood test said "girl" so I find myself analyzing...15436

both of the pictures (including the left hand one labeled "boy") are confirmed girls.

any other opinions? I just got "activated" on this site, so I would love opinions. anyone have little 14 week olds with gender shots like this? cord and hand were also in the crotch region.

Sway&Wish, is there a nub in the side view? I don't know what to look for in a side view to establish a nub shot.

My second boy had a potty shot like that.

I see clear penis and scrotum in the very first image you posted. It doesn't look at all similar to the girl shots, imo. Sorry :(

tnt1043
December 4th, 2013, 12:19 PM
that's okay. that's all I wanted to hear. I don't want to "lose" this little man now that I'm at peace with "losing" the girl (girl blood test).

This is my girl shot at 14/15 weeks. The dot triangle is interesting so many look the same, girls and boys

wow, heartmytwo! I would think that was a boy looking at that. I am *NOT* good at these things though. but that's all we saw. just like yours. where is the clear scrotum on mine?

What kind of blood test gave you the girl result? MaterniT21 boasts 99%+ accuracy, but I don't know what other tests are out there...

it's was a Canadian version, the Accu-metrics Jack or Jill venous blood test. its performed the exact same way based on the same technology as US-based free cell tests. the lab that tests this test was not CLIA-approved; it's not as stringent as US labs, bc of this lack of CLIA standards, as per my friend who's a geneticist.

UPDATE.

we went for our 20 week anatomy scan today. The man said "there's the bladder, and look, there's nothing here. it's a girl." Proceeds to look some more, and says, "Yup it's a girl! we'll look again later."

I asked for a gender shot later on, and despite many many views of potty shots showing nothing but what looked liked labia folds to me (three even lines, nothing between legs), he suddenly comes up with this image, and says, "that's a penis. I think this is a boy." I couldn't see scrotum, so I asked for it, and so he continues to look around. Points out another "dangly bit" that wasn't coming out of the genital area, and says that is a penis, and in another view, points out a "testicle" but it looked like nothing to me...and i have been relentlessly looking at these images on here and other sites. There was no turtle, no bulbous peach, no hot dog, NOTHING together in one image that looks like boy parts.

This is the only gender image he gave me. Please, please look. 15755

That's all boy. Clear penis and scrotum. Sounds like the person doing your scan was a moron.

tnt1043
December 17th, 2013, 03:18 PM
Can you outline parts for me? There was no other time at any point during the scan that anything was between the legs. at all. nothing.

tnt1043
December 17th, 2013, 03:34 PM
more detailed account of the scan:

the tech was a man. he got to the bladder, pointed it out, and says, "this is a girl." we gasped and "oh my god" and he says, "yes. this is a girl." he says we'll come back later just to verify.

he comes back later, comes up with this image, says that's a penis and this is a boy. the penis is not attached to between the legs. it was three stacked dots (HOW A CORD IMAGES) and this was mere seconds after saying "there was so much cord in the way, haha."

I ask where the scrotum is, so he keeps looking. and looking. and looking. no scrotum. he points out anther penis, this one dangling UP from the lower thigh. meanwhile, he zips past endless potty shots showing nothing at all. just lines, perfect perfect labia girl shots.

this is the only shot we got.

ai caramba - I am no expert at all and won't even hazard a guess but HUGE (((hugs))) that you had to endure that roller coaster ride.

December 18th, 2013, 01:32 PM
You took the image down but it looked like a penis in the solid white and the round bulb is the scrotum in the gray color. It's just one image but it did look like a boy to me. You can see lines on a boy depending on how the baby is positioned, etc. I hope I'm wrong and it's a girl.

tnt1043
December 18th, 2013, 03:41 PM
I didn't take it down. it's above, attached. I've gotten 100% boy feedback on this image. my husband and I won a free 4D scan so we're going to "waste" it early and go get confirmation. not bc I don't trust this image shows all the possible perfect boy bits, but bc it wasn't visible at any other time, and two thigh bones potty view showed labia folds over and over and over. there is a gender disorder in my family, and I'm reliving it all over again with this. so we need closure. thanks for listening. I hope we get lots of shaking boy bit confirmation.

tnt1043
December 18th, 2013, 03:43 PM
it says invalid attachment. I don't know why. here's the image again. 15773

tnt1043
December 18th, 2013, 03:44 PM
it isn't THIS image that makes us so loopy. it's the whole scan. what we saw. the things he said. it's difficult bc of my past and bc the gender has flipped 4 times now. frustrating!

It sounds very frustrating and it was a big roller coaster ride. I hope the next scan gives you what you need.
