FYI - This ultrasound image was taken around 12.5 weeks.
Firstly, thanks to everyone who has responded already!
Okay, so I have attached the same image but with some guides as to what the sonographer advised each part is... Unfortunately, all of my images were blurred (not sure if the sonographer did this intentionally as he wouldn't give us even the smallest hint of what sex baby may be). The blue line is the curve of baby's spine and the red circle with line indicates the direction and placement of baby's nub. Hmmm...
I have been informed that the nub generally runs parallel or lower to the lower part of the baby's spine for a girl and above this ( often 30 degrees) for a boy. On the scans there appears to be a fork at the end of the nub but I have also been advised that this can appear in both sexes. I have a feeling we are falling into the grey area of determining baby's sex... I am just so excited, I cannot wait to find out!
Thanks again and I look forward to hearing your responses :)
