We haven't told anyone but a few close friends. We could probably tell DD#1 but DD#2&3 can't keep a secret so we're keeping them all in the dark and after last time we want to keep things quiet as long as possible.

Congrats and welcome Stella! I was starting to get lonely lol I'm Jen, due the 9th and feeling pretty good. I'm so tired too, sleeping deeper then I ever have. My dd's night stand got knocked over the other night (no clue how) and I slept through the whole thing, woke dh but not me and that never happens. I get a little queasy if I don't eat when I first get hungry, can't stand my usual coffee and am getting just a bit of heartburn but I'm really doing great.
I'm sorry to have taken this long to check back, I usually check in at least one a day

Thanks to all popping in to say congrats  It's time to start a edd list!!!

Hi :) I'm here. Just got back from my 1st Dr. appt. Went well, really no news. Just discussed all my past pregnancy issues. Dr. said she is open to putting me on a zofran pump if I get as sick as I was last time. Also this is a new OB and I'm going to be seeing a new perinatologist. So far I am super please with the new OB Dr. I see the specialist for the first time in 4 weeks and will get my first ultrasound. I'm kinda bummed I won't see baby until 8 weeks but I guess that means that the baby is doing really well if things look good at 8 weeks. I got tummy flu yesterday (not fun) but today I am doing good, just little waves of nausea here and there. Besides that I am just relaxing and praying things continue to go well. How is everyone else?

Hi ladies, I'm still here, not feeling any symptoms at all. Which makes me nervous because thats how i felt with my girls. Are you planning on finding out the gender? We are still up in the air about it.

stellanneedsasis
June 13th, 2011, 06:06 PM
I am totally finding out gender. I am super impatient and I guess I feel like if I'm going to experience any GD I want to do it before the baby arrives. With my son I felt a lot more stetching pains in my uterus, this one has been more crampy. My boobs are not tender at all but are growing. Same way as when I was preggo with son. Today I feel like I'm having a boy others days I am hopeful for a girl. I think I'm telling myself it's a boy just so I don't give my hopes up. My husband would totally wait out on finding out gender but luckily he lets me have my way on it! I found out at 12 weeks with DS #1 and will probably do the same with this one. :)

3Pink1Blue
June 13th, 2011, 06:23 PM
I am feeling good and it makes me a little nervous too. I was super sick with dd#1, pretty icky with dd#2 and felt amazing with dd#3 so I don't know what to think.
I'm not sure if we will find out the gender, it's something we debate a lot. If we do it won't be till the 20wk u/s. It's our last baby no matter what so today is one of those days where I'd like the surprise.

June 16th, 2011, 10:43 AM
Ate a cookie yesterday and had a headache all evening, not real bad just annoying. Guess that's a good reminder to keep away from the crap.

Hi ladies, it seems we all feeling great! MY3girls i dont feel preg at all too, been more hungry & have had a few naps in the afternoon though. Ok i have a question about something that's bothering me. My boobs arent sore nor have they changed, is this normal. I'm really worried that it's not a viable pregnancy. I'm hungry yes & that's it really. Also i'm not getting up for a wee at night which is something i've always done with my pregnancies. How are you all feeling with regards to these 2 itmes, wee at night & boobs?

Not so much great anymore Baby, I felt icky Friday but hoped it was a one day thing. Feeling off and on icky Saturday but thought it was left over from Friday. I was pretty ok for most of Sunday so thought what ever it was was over but am back to icky today. I know I've just got to figure it out and all will be good.

My boobs usually double in size and hurt like hell, but they have not changed at all. So I think its normal, because I think your body changes differently for each pregnancy.

3PNB, it is the sort of time for your m/s to kick in i think. Seems like you know what to do to ease the m/s so that's good. I remember that the only thing that kept mine at bay was DH used to boil fresh ginger in water & i'd sip on it all day long & it did wonders.
Isnt it funny that just as i was moaning about my boobs not sore they've now started lool, my nipples are itchy too
My3girls, how far ar you now & how are you feeling?

Hi ladies. Congrats Lindi! I am really sick. I was going on and off and then Sunday it started pretty much full time. yuck. I am fighting it naturally for now, but have my bottle of zofran ready if it becomes unbearable. My boobies just started getting more sore and they are definitely growing. I am trying to eat something small every few hours as it seems to help with sickness. I have some ginger chews but they don't seem to help much. oh well...at least this means things might be progressing well. I am so bummed I don't have an ultrasound until 8 weeks! wish I got it early like last time. baby will really be looking like something by 8 weeks! :) Hoping you are all doing well :)

Pretty good so far! I've had some come & go nausea but nothing bad. I didn't have morning sickness with either of my boys but was afraid I might with a girl! I'd take it gladly, though, needless to say. I'm having lots of back pain over the past few days but other than that, I feel pretty normal. I had a scare yesterday with some very slight spotting and the back pain, so I got to see our sweet little one on u/s…her beautiful little heart was beating away at 162 BPM. We are so blessed! :awe: We are telling our boys tonight…I can't wait! :D

Hi Jen and everyone! Can I join?
Based on conception date I am 2/28 due date.

I have long cycles and am wondering how the doc will calculate since this time I know the exact date when it happened (we only DTD one time during fertile time.)

If he does go by the traditional 28/14 cycle, I will be 2/24 EDD.
If he adjusts for my cycle of 32 days and 12 Luteal, then it is 3/1.

Either way I'll be a scheduled C and it will be in Feb. Should I go for Leap Day???

Are you all going to find out ahead of time? I found out for the first 2 and then waited with 3rd to see what it was like.
I never want to do that again - I am a planner and need to know ASAP!

Thanks baby, I think I have it figure out and can hopefully maintain this mildly queasy state. My hunger is still off the charts as well and I think thats the bulk of my problem. I go from fine to sick from hunger in about 15 minutes and my aversions are making it difficult to get enough food. Ah all part of the game :) FX yours stays away.

Threeatlast - yeah for a heartbeat but boo for being sick.

Winogurl - Boys excited? I love telling the kids. Sorry you had a little scare but glad she's just fine:)

I'm feeling just like you are now. The queasy state has started, i'm eating quite a lot too & the difficult thing is DH's still away with work & i've got to that stage where i dont really want to stand in the kitchen & cook but i've had to & today i thought i'd order takeout for dinner but just looking at the menus made me queasy so i ended up eating a watermelon & banana & i feel so much better. I will be looking for my next fix soon lool. Oh & the peeing has started too, woke up 3 times last night & i thought great here comes the disturbed sleep

I'm feeling fat already aargh! I'm going to start doing some walking for at least 45min a day 3x a week & also doing pregnancy yoga

Hi ladies, I'm having a really tough time. Been to ER twice for iv fluids for extreme dehydration from throwing up and not being able to eat. My Dr. is setting up home health care for me tomorrow to recieve IF fluids and IV anti-nausea meds at home. I'm trying not to get depressed but I just wish I got to experience a pleasant pregnancy. I'm realize I am lucky to be able to make babies though and keep thinking of when I get to hold this little girl or boy. Glad we have so many new ladies joining us. I don't have a first ultrasound for another 2.5 weeks. I can't wait to see the heartbeat!

my3girls- yay for your appt, fx they'll give you a peek :)

Stellanneedsasis - sorry you're having such a rough time, it's so frustrating to be so miserable. I remember with dd1 puking my guts out and and thinking "I did this on purpose, I actually wanted this" it is depressing but FX they get you at least slightly comfortable and it passes soon.

I'm still queasy and now, for extra fun, have a massive head cold. I don't think you realize what a wuss you are about certain things till you encounter them while pregnant. I can deal with all sorts of stuff with no meds but a clogged head normally sends me running for the sudafed. I don't take anything I don't have to in the first trimester but man am I missing decongestants right about now lol

I'm having some mommy amnesia and I forget the timing of everything.

When does everyone have their first ob appointment? The earliest I could get in at mine was 9+ weeks. I could only get in with my least favorite doc in the practice and am wondering if it would be too late to set my first visit after 12 weeks (I'll be on vacation weeks 10-12) so I can see my main doc. I'll be a scheduled c-section so there is no need for me to meet with any of the others this time.
Also, I have seen and heard posts about the "nub" shots on early ultrasounds - what week are those from?

3Pink1Blue
July 17th, 2011, 10:24 AM
Many have you come in at 10wks because that's the first time the heartbeat can be reliably picked up via doplar. I've seen nubs as early as 10/12 wks not sure what point they are most reliable though.

I had my first appointment and got a quick u/s. Everything looks great and I'll be going back in 2 weeks for another one. My midwife is doing everything she can to ease my mind till I'm well past my m/c point, love her.

babydes56
July 17th, 2011, 10:31 AM
Do you get a downs scan between 11-13wks? It's standard to get one in the UK now unlike when i had my daughter 3yrs ago.

3PNB, having a great midwife is really a blessing especially after what you went through so i'm happy for you. I dont feel as icky as i did a week ago so i'm kinda worrying a little, i'm also not that hungry so cant wait for my next scan. Oh by the way great that your baby's sitting on the opposite side of where your friend's baby girl was sat, it must be a boy then

Usually with a midwife you only get one at 20 wks, not sure what dr's do standard.

Yeah I'm in love with my midwife. She's being ridiculously supportive, more then I could have hoped. I have another u/s next Thursday and will be checking the baby's position again but so far I have hope.
FWIW I'm much less icky then I was a few weeks ago and as of Thursday everything fine. Don't worry Hun :)

If you want the first trimester screening, you can do the nuchal fold and bloodwork together to screen for Downs from 10-13 weeks, (blood a week earlier than the ultrasound, so 11 weeks would work for both) that's sort of the ultrasound where you get the nub shot.
If you don't want those screening tests, I'd still go in because they can do blood work and test for anemia and stuff like that which is always useful. During my screening my PAPP-A came back low, which means possible risk for pre-eclampsia, something I have never had... but I'm glad I know that because I am much more diligent about exercising every day now to keep my risk down.

Hi girls! How is everyone? I'm still battling sickness but dealing with it. Got off the IVs! :) So that's good. I have seen my little bean 3 times now and everything looks great. I had my 1st trimester screening and my odds were around 1 in 10,000. My next ultrasound/appt. is on the 26th. I will be 14w4d so we'll be finding out what it is. I am so nervous and excited. My gut instinct isn't going either way with this one. The only difference is I battled acne with my son, and my skin is perfect with this one. Anyways does anyone else find out soon if it's a he or a she??

That's great news! Can't wait to hear what you find out! We will have our 1st trimester screen next week - I'll be 13w2d which is the late end so I hope that doesn't hurt the results. This is our first time doing the NT scan/blood work. Last time I had quad screen only which gave me terrible odds (like 1:12 risk of downs) so I wanted to avoid that this time. I wound up getting the amnio, which I would like to avoid this time. Of course the amnio showed that she was PERFECTLY healthy!
I worry that my age (39, 40 on due date) will skew things badly again.

We want to find out gender asap also.
FYI - my DD2 pregnancy symptoms were exactly like my DS pregnancy and NOTHING like DD1 so I don't believe symptoms always tell gender.

Stellanneedsasis- glad you're doing a better and your little passenger is safe. Hooray for finding out! I have an appt Wed and a quick u/s but we'll be finding out gender till the big u/s in 2-4 weeks!

Deb- fx for a healthy blue bean :) ita on the symptoms, I've had 3 completely different pregnancies yet 3 girls, I haven't even begun to guess on this one lol

Got good news and bad news today. Good news - nasal bone is there and baby looks great. NT of 1.6 so now just waiting on blood work for my final odds.
Bad news - low placenta partially covering cervix. Doc thinks it will move up since it is not totally covering, but I have to live on "precautions" as if I had placenta previa until 20 weeks.
Not sure news - tech has been doing this for 34 years and won't guess at gender for fear of mistakes at this stage. I begged and buttered him up for a guess and he (knowing I want a boy) said "girl girl, yes girl". Don't know if he was just hedging so that I wouldn't be mad if he was wrong or to get me to not ask again (I only asked 2x, but persistently) or if my sway totally failed.
Dealing with denial and GD right now. :-(
Hoping he was either messing with me or wrong, but with his experience I have to believe he was right.

Great news on the scan and I wouldn't worry about the girl yet, so early! My bil's gf was told at her 20wk that she was definitely going to need a c-sec because of the position of her placenta but had a vaginal delivery, fx yours moves at that belly grows!

Hey ladies, I found out last Friday I am expecting another boy. Can't believe my sway didn't work, makes me question the whole thing. I was really sad for a day and then started pulling out of it. I know with time I will get more excited about this new little guy joining our family. He looks perfect and healthy in the ultrasound. Hope some of you ladies have some more luck getting the sex you desire! :)

FWIW, I'm thinking mine didn't work either - will know for sure soon enough.

haven't checked in for awhile. hope everyone is doing well. DebH~sorry about the failed sway. I am still dealing with some GD as a few friends just found out they are expecting girls. I am excited to meet this little guy but just disappointed that I may never have a daughter. Good news though is I haven't been bed rested yet and my contractions are at a minimum. These P17 injections are doing a wonderful job of keeping uterus calm. My belly really popped over the past few weeks...I have a feeling this is going to be a BIG boy!
