So I have been sick with some sort of stomach flu for the last 4 days TMI but it has been diarrhea and since it has been happening so long I did some reading.

I came across this: "Diarrhea depletes the body of electrolytes, which are important minerals such as sodium, potassium, magnesium, chloride and calcium."

So since it depletes the body of mostly boy friendly nutrients should I try to sway this month? Or stick to the original plan of July?

If I got pregnant this month, I would not have the problem of my vacation in the Caribbean.

Hey kaseybaby, FWIW, I did that exact same thing 2 years ago and got DS2. Both DH and myself had a TERRIBLE stomach flu and we DTD the day O. I'm sure if you decide to DTD it won't be on O though.

I was thinking of doing at least a 2 day cut off. Were you doing the diet prior to your stomach flu? Were you on supplements as well?

Hmmm.....I would say that it would depend on when you O....Is it soon?
If it were soon, I would say it might be a good idea. I do have a girlfriend that got preggo with her third(first girl) during a very bad flu where she ate basically nothing for 6 days straight.....it was an oops pregnancy because she thought that she had ovulated on CD14 like usual, but her sickness pushed back her O date by 5 days, so when she felt better she just DTD like usual with her hubby and whamo! Baby girl on her way!
If it were me I'd most likely just go for it but I'm kinda terrible at this sway stuff:) LOL

I got pg with my 2nd DD immediately following a terrible stomach flu. (day before O with plenty of EWCM too!) I would imagine the depletion of minerals coupled with the weight loss would sway pink. How long have you been on the diet?

I ovulate in about 9 days, but if I go for it in 9 days I have barely been eating. And everything i have been eating has been girl friendly. I can't even take the sight of meat right now.

I started the diet about month ago, but cheated over memorial day weekend, and I wasn't crazy strict, just cut down on meat and cut red meat out entirely, as well as the use of salt. I also started my supplements about 5 weeks ago.

What to do? What to do?

O no fair I want the stomach flu now!

If you don't have the strong feeling that swaying right now will give you a girl then wait. There are some people that did the diet (under 1000 cals) and took 2-3x's the req amount of herbs/supps for only 2wks and got a girl... but I only saw a few on IG.

Also, if you are sick it may increase the odds of a m/c so maybe waiting until another time would give the diet some more time to work on you.

Ha ha! If I could give you my flu I would. It has been awful.

I sort of feel like this might be an optimal chance to give it a try, but like I said I would do at least a 2 day cut off and I have a feeling that will be too long of a cut off for me anyway.

Oh I just don't know. I have a week to figure it out I guess.

Close your eyes and consintrate on the question and see what your body tells you.

I think it says to give it a go. It really helps with the whole July problem if I get pregnant with beach swimming, pool time and too much sun. Plus I can keep the air conditioner off for now.

I think the thing that is holding me back is I am terrified of having two children be boys or boy and girl! lol

We weren't on any special diet or supps, just trying to do a shettles cutoff like we had done with our previous m/c a couple of months before.

AGH I wish I had seen this sooner (curse this new schedule) but being sick totally sways pink regardless of the electrolytes. I would go for it.

Kynzi (the lady who discovered O+12) also conceived her DD when she had the stomach flu. I tend to think the flu did the swaying and the O+12 was just a coincidence.
