That's exciting Rosie and Boysway . I hope you both get pregnant on the first try.
unwirklich good luck on your attempt.
I really hope that everyone gets pregnant on the first try, I am a very impatient person so I couldn't imagine swaying/trying for months and nothing happens

I'm impatient as well! This whole dieting for 3 months before even trying is driving me bonkers.
Hope to see some bfps from this group soon!

I am super impatient person too. I told DH if I don't get preggo in April I don't know if I want to keep trying...I am sick of constant exercise and diet. I am afraid if I keep going my sway will get too loose but if I wait a few months then I can get back at it with a fresh start. I'm not sure though...we will see what happens, DH seems super positive I will fall pregnant on the first try because I did with the other three but we are doing things differently this time, I say chances are much lower.

Yeah lol I gave up my want for a summer baby because I was too impatient to wait until like July to conceive (because AK only has like a 3 month true "warm" window)
I'm kinda confused this morning. My temp is actually lower today than yesterday (97.3 vs 97.6) everything else says I ovulated yesterday..my pH is back down today, my cm is no longer EWCM, my cervix is lowered...but my temp went down not up, suggesting ovulation today. Annoying. I suppose as long as it happens today I'm still in a good window with my attempt.

Our bodies are tricky sometimes, I am glad you are still in a good window though! Hooray for attempts! I am so excited to see some BFP's for us! I would really love if we could be in due date groups together!

Well this makes me feel better
Natural family planning. II. Basal body tempe... [Obstet Gynecol. 1980] - PubMed - NCBI (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/7360431)
A study that found in women who experienced an O dip, it ranged from 2 days before to three days after ovulation. Historically I've only gotten one low day, and that low day has always been pinpointed as O, maybe I got two low days this month because of the clomid..

Hi ladies, still no AF for me. Apparently, it looks like I Oed way later than I thought (10dpo or CD24) which hopefully makes me (7dpo) now, I'm trying to stop symptom spotting as it's driving me nuts but cant!
So I will be testing every week just to be on the safe side. Oh the joys of being on BCP!
Good luck everyone waiting for AF or BFP!:)

I'm exactly the same as you girlies I've been preparing with diet etc for the last three months and never even thought about not getting pregnant first attempt, as I usually do. Now I'm beginning to realise that it could take a while. I'll try for a few months max and then will probably have to loosen up a bit more. Will have to wait and see. Don't even know what dpo I am as I don't temp, and had a few positive opks at different times, but think I'll definitely start temping next cycle. I've had zero ewcm this month too which is so unusual for me.
Best of luck to all the girls attempting this month. I hope and pray we all get lucky!!

Yay! CD 1 for me. Officially the first day of our first attempt cycle! And, dh has a cold :( That would be about right!
So far I have been on the HE diet since January. I have had some cheats and occasionally not eating enough. Quite honestly, for the most part I have a hard time filling my stomach for long. I have put on 5.2 kgs since the 11th of January. I think I will be going back over my sway attempt plan. Argh! So nervous, this is crazy!

Boysway, yep twins are fun!! Sometimes! Lol!! 😄 they're more work than our other 4 put together but they're fun and amazing to watch grow up together and finish each other sentences and even talk over the top of each other but still know exactly what the other said and be able to answer them! Lol!
Out eldest doesn't want us to have any more kids either. We pushed our luck with him having no. 6 but he ended up coming to the birth and cut the cord so that made it "ok". He has said he will leave and go live elsewhere if we have any more kids, so haven't told him I'm pregnant yet! 😕 That's also why I really want a girl, I know he will be ok with a girl and all the boys want a sister.
I love being pregnant too daisymoo! I never get sick or get hayfever (which I get really bad when I'm not pregnant) or headaches or anything! 😊

mum how old is your oldest?? I am sorry he feels that way but I can understand his feelings. I didn't want another sibling either unless it was what I wanted it to be. I didn't want anyone to take my parents attention from me! I am sure all kids feel that way to a point.
SamS_TTCPink
April 8th, 2014, 09:02 PM
He is 15. The other kids keep asking us when we're going to have another baby, they've been wanting another sibling, preferably a sister, since DS6 was born! 😉 They all love having so many siblings though, whereas our eldest would have loved to have been an only child! My parents influence on him has had a lot to do with that though. They have "brainwashed" him to an extent with their negative comments.
I'm just hoping when we do tell the kids that he will be ok with it. I think he has some suspicions as I'm sure they saw the BFP in my bathroom (but don't really know what it was) and he saw the pregnancy vitamins in the cupboard. And he said to me the other day "you are not to have anymore children, are you" 😕

It's probably just the age that your kids are at. I bet they'll be over the moon when the little one (or two boysway!!!!) arrive. They'll love having them around. It's the opposite in my house My two oldest boys keep asking for another brother! I've been warned not to bring home a girl!!

April 10th, 2014, 10:21 AM
On another note I am feeling super guilty about all of my cheats. I have been eating way too much meat. I had some bacon and some prime rib yesterday. My mom was planning on making me steak this weekend too but I think I have to turn it down. I need to go to zero meat until attempt. I had ice cream yesterday and got sick from it....very sad!
I am about two weeks out so I am going to be drinking almost every night now and I really want to go hardcore on my exercise but I literally have NO time the next 2 days...not sure what to do.
How is everyone else doing??!! Any BFP's out there yet? Is it too soon?

Hi All - may I join and I do hope to be doing an attempt in at least one of the months for this thread!!! Have filled out the original questionnaire below. Have read the past few pages but cant go back to the beginning, wow this is a good active thread!
For background, I have been on the diet for over 5 happy months lol, 6/7 days a week exercise for over 6 months (but was exercising 4 times a week before that), started TTC beginning of Jan when I came off BCP, thought I would be PG by now but I havent even ovulated :( - had blood tests earlier this week so hope to have some answers/action in a weeks time. Have also booked in with an acupuncturist specialising in this issue on 23rd April.
When are you planning on trying? ASAP, been 'trying' since January
Have you started to sway yet? Yes
Did you get a personalized plan or are you working on your own? Personalised plan
Which gender are you hoping for? Girl
Any concerns you have currently? Wish I would O soon....
marriedmomof2
April 10th, 2014, 01:10 PM
Rosie, I hope your little guy enjoyed his day! and thank you! I completely understand about the meat part. That's great that you are implimenting the drinking (for your sway), about the exercise, do you get up early or stay up late? Maybe taking the kids to the park?
Wow this month is going by fast! Your attempt will be here before you know it.
AFM I keep wanting to move my sway up to May, about 4 weeks to be exact but I haven't been exercising like I should.
Stephk :welcome: to this group. Do you know when to expect a call from the doctor with the results? I hope you get good news!
Rosie85
April 10th, 2014, 01:14 PM
Welcome Steph! Hoping you hear good news as well. How frustrating for you to not be ovulating at all.
Married- I think if you started exercising right now 6 days a week it could be enough! There was another lady who only did 3 or 4 weeks of strict exercise and she got a girl...not that it was the exercise for sure, just saying it can happen!
As for the exercise thing, I generally go when they go to bed. I SUCK at working out at home so I like going to the gym but mine closes at 10pm since it is a community center so it really confines me. If I went in the morning I would have to go at 5:30 am so I could be home in time for DH to leave for work! yikes! I will just have to push myself to do a late late night work out at home I suppose. NO excuses! haha. I really think the exercise with low blood sugar is my very best shot and I won't screw it up!

Welcome stephk!:)
Good luck next week, hope it's good news!
ROFL at '5 happy months' considering I've only been on it for 7-8w (well,7w if I get a BFP next week) with lots of cheats in between and it feels like forever!
Rosie: don't beat yourself up on the few cheats, we all cheat and feel the same more than we admit to..;)
Somehow, yesterday and today I'm reminding myself to eat real food(result!). All I want to eat is marshmallows and drink diet coke!

Tired, dizziness/light headed, lower back pain, high temp (feeling hotter than ever), cramping on lower abdominal, moody, one day I'm constipated and the next I have diarrhoea! Oh, forgot to add a few twinges in my nibbles now and then.

The meat has been my biggest cheat. I've managed to keep my protein under 50, usually under 45 since Jan minus a few date nights I couldn't resist the prime rib by eating the lowest protein meals I can muster during the day so I can have meat at dinner lol
The exercise is super hard when you have other kids. :( I too do it in the morning before the kids wake up. I ride my stationary bike and watch shows the kids can't be around for like Fringe and Dexter lol I found the AM exercise seems to give me more energy during the day, after that initial exhaustion wears off.
My temp is up a bit today, back where it was before the "dip", and I'm a slow riser, but I had a second positive OPK yesterday. I think I geared up on CD13, cause that's my usual O day, and then didn't and tried again 2 days later. I actually had cramps down in the ovary area yesterday, which I've never ever gotten before. Lots on the left too, little on the right. No EWCM but I've been on the zyrtec, pH is back up again too, so I think O'ed last night or will today. I lost my control and BD'ed again last night though, I couldn't shake how low my chances would be with one attempt 3 days before O, possibly closer to 4 days. Really we've been trying just over a year now. I started TTC on valentines day last year, got pregnant in Aug but miscarried in Nov., kept trying until Dec. then put things on hold for 2 months. I'm tired of BFN's lol
Edit: maybe not, todays OPK is darker even than yesterdays, what the heck

April 10th, 2014, 02:52 PM
welcome stephk, hope your cycles start going back to normal soon. I can only imagine how annoying all that waiting is. I did accupuncture before and have to say it is really good and very relaxing which is probably exactly what you need at the moment.
Rosie remember cheats are mandatory Enjoy them all You're doing great! I seem to be the only one not exercising in the whole group! Not lazy just couldn't risk it swaying blue for me as I exercised every day with my 3 ds. And I'm enjoying every minute of NO exercise!!
Unwirklich I think you were right to do another attempt. it's not like it was two or three days in a row. Atomic said before if you get another positive opk you can have another attempt so you did the right thing Fingers crossed for you girlie!
I've been doing the bd every four days as my cycle is really acting up this month. After getting two positives at different times this month I have no idea where I am in my cycle which is strange as I'm normally so clued in to symptoms. Don't know which day I started 2ww. I'm sure I'll find out in a week or so!! But I had to stop all supps after 6 days this month so hope it won't affect my sway too much.
Fingers crossed for all ladies who have had their attempt and best of luck to all the ladies with attempts coming up!

Daisy, fertility friend actually has a no EWCM option for searching charts, so I know you aren't alone there. I noticed it today looking for clomid charts with two positive OPKs lol Are you charting too? Might help you know where you are in your cycle better for weird months.

Rosie those cakes sound amazing and I would be exactly the same. I havent made anything like that unless we have guests and I am confident everything will be eaten that day otherwise I would also binge eat the lot!! Especially if I have alcohol....
I eat meat pretty much every weekend, DH would have a fit if I cut it out altogether. I am veggie monday to thursday then have fish/meat at the weekend. Its still a lot less than before when I was eating fish/meat at least once a day!
unwirklich I would have also attempted in your shoes and it sounds like the right thing given the darker OPK. Fingers crossed you get your BFP!

Hi girls, I agree this is such an active thread - hard to keep up. If you miss a day, you've missed a lot lol.
I'm cd10 and have seen yellow cm when I wipe. (TMI) - It's too early and I've no idea what to expect - I figure I'm gonna just wing it and see if I get anywhere.
So far, I've been on diet since Jan, though not strict as I've had plenty of cheat days; I've been able to work out pretty regularly but again, not super intense. I took vitex and SP for the last 2 cycles but did not this cycle to throw things off a bit and have been sipping on Peppermint tea a lot. FA & Zyrtec are the only 2 pills I've been taking regularly and Equate brand Fiber therapy sometimes.
I've lost good 10-15 pounds but am still not my adult lowest so that makes me nervous a bit. I'm gonna try and lose as much as I can this week!
Hubby has been taking LR & OLE for the most part but other than that, not doing anything. He's always been a vegetarian so that part is taken care of lol.
Nervous and excited at the same time! EEEks..

Boysway hope you feel better soon - if the attempt is 2 weeks hopefully enough time to get rid of the cold and massively improve your condition. Definitely take those vitamins and eat as much high nutrient food as poss. If you like fruit, blueberries, mangoes, freshly squeezed orange juice are all high vitamin c and high nutrient. I also swear by manuka honey. Not sure if you have berocca or any effervescent vitamin c/immune system tablets where you are? I used to use buckets of these before.

I was curious what the boy mom's Dh's were like- did they do all of the things/have characteristics of having high sperm count? My DH has been hit hard by illnesses and major back pain so we are taking a break to restore sperm health.
We conceived all of our pregnancies in 1-3 months, so I bet he has a normal count, and I have normal fertility, but I'd love your thoughts!

SpicyTunaSushi - I am sorry to hear of the MC. Hope you get a healthy, sticky blue bean soon - sending my blue dust :)
As for DH I'm not sure what his count is but we conceived DS on the 3rd cycle of trying. When we started TTC I had him take green tea, vitamin C and Zinc supplements every day. We also BD every 1.5 days in the fertile window to max sperm count. So - my pos OPK was on the Monday and we had BD Thursday night, Saturday morning, Sunday afternoon and Monday evening. We sometimes used preseed but I didn't always need it back then as I had loads of ewcm so not sure if it was used any of those times (I was taking green tea, evening primrose oil from AF-O and flaxseed oil O-AF - I wasn't aware that you shouldn't take flaxseed oil then.) Now of course he is taking no supplements (well he bought vitamin D in January which I was not happy about but without me to remind him I bet he hasn't taken them), and we are going for one attempt in the fertile window if it ever opens lol.
Also - just to add he loves hot baths which I banned when we last TTC!

Wondering if my O date is off this evening. I should be DPO 4, got pink tinged CM just now..TMI, but just barely pink with like one r two bring red speckles. Midcycle spotting isn't normal for me.

Hi spicytuna Well I have three boys and conceived them all first time ttc so maybe my dh has a high sperm count, don't know really. He's a little overweight (sorry dh!!) and doesn't exercise apart from gardening. Eats lots of red meat and drinks lots of soda which I have since banned him from!!
On another note got my af today on cd21 so for this new cycle I'm giving up vitex which is playing havoc with my cycle.

unwirklich I hope it's implantation spotting!
steph I hope all is well and all it requires to kick start af is a pill or two
afm exercising is really taking a toll on my right knee, it's slightly swollen and making crackling noises as I walk, the pain isn't bad so I am going to stick with it. We are celebrating our anniversary this upcoming weekend so from Friday to Sunday I will be eating whatever I want whenever I want.

Sorry about the aunt flo Daisy. Did you double check that it isn't heavy implantation??
Married- my legs are literally falling apart! My knees and my ankles and my hips are killing me every time I exercise. I fear I won't be able to keep doing it if I don't get pregnant this time around. I took a few days off and now that I am about 12 days off my attempt I am going to try and exercise every single day except Easter.

April 14th, 2014, 11:54 AM
Daisy, if your on a full dose you may try a half if you'd prefer not drop it. Vitex screwed me up bad at 2 pills a day as the bottle indicated too, one pill seemed help me be more normal.
Married, what type of exercise are you doing? Maybe you could find something less intense on your joints, swimming maybe?
AFM, I hope so, DPO4 would just be super early for that, O was kind of weird this month and no spotting this morning. I think O could have been anywhere from CD 13 to CD 15 where FF tagged it. I had the more than one positive OPK from the clomid. My temp was actually lowest at CD 14 and then slowly rose after that.

Rosie I so wish it was implantation but it's too heavy. Just told my dh we're out this month as he said he must have lost his touch! Aw bless! I'll stick at it for maybe one or two more months then I think I'll go back to eating the way I used to just so we can hopefully have a stronger chance of getting pregnant.
Unwirklich do you still have spotting? I do hope it's your month for catching that pink egg! I take 400mg vitex morning and night but definitely going to skip it from now on.

Ah, yeah I looked my vitex capsules are 400 too, and your supposed to take 2 a day, so you're already on a half dose. Plenty of girls have been conceived without vitex. I wouldn't worry too much :)
I only had the one time last night with the spotting, nothing today. Makes me hopeful, cause in the past when I have had mid-cycle spotting on rare occasions (I think I had low progesterone pre-sway) it's never been just like one drop of blood like this.

Hi ladies - sorry I can't keep up either, there is way too much activity in this thread! GL to all those who are attempting this month and congrats to those with a BFP!
spicytuna - We were doing things to improve sperm count when we conceived my DS. My DH wears boxer briefs (no tight underpants), no hot bath for ~month before we TTC, no smoking, not very much heavy drinking, and we were BD every other day (I think this pattern sways blue/improves sperm count). We got pg on our first cycle TTC, but no clue if that means he has high sperm count. TMI alert, but my DH has VERY high sex drive (most days wants to BD 2x/day if we have time) and I feel like this might also mean high sperm count/high T levels, but I have no idea.
SpicyTunaSushi
April 14th, 2014, 10:53 PM
@bluebonnet- you must be from Texas! :) Yes, I would say your DH has a high sex drive, that's a good thing.
I'd say my DH does too- usually every 3-4 days or so he starts to get eager. We do all of those things you mentioned to up sperm. I think his sperm must be good because we conceived quickly all three times, but with his back problems, grrr...

Wow there's quite a few on antibiotics at the moment, hope you all make a swift recovery for your attempts.
Unwirklich - have you tested yet? Everything crossed for you :)
AFM: my doctor called about my blood tests yesterday.. He spoke very quickly and I had a noisy DS in the background but here goes:
* Thyroid, liver, kidneys, blood count, electrolytes, diabetes, bone density/calcium, FSH, LSH, testosterone, prolactin, ESR, lipids - all normal (hope I haven't missed one but he did talk fast)
* Sex hormone-binding globulin - high - he said this was normally low and mine is high
* progesterone was low, I think he said 6.8. He said this test is normally done on the second half of the cycle but as we don't know where I am in the cycle it's difficult to conclude.
He feels this warrants further investigation and is sending me for an ultrasound. Once we have the ultrasound results he will ask a gynaecologist for their opinion on how we move forward. I asked how long and he said a couple of weeks.
And I am so happy to report I had slight spotting last night which has turned into AF today!! Probably breakthrough bleeding rather than from O but I will take what I can get... So I will soon hopefully finally be joining you all in your attempts :)

April 16th, 2014, 05:02 AM
Stephk great news!! You can finally start attempting yahhhhh! You really have been a star putting up with all this:)
FX you get to the bottom of it all with ultrasound but pretty good results and you could have been in the first half of your cycle for progesterone? will they monitor you for ovulation is that when they do the ultrasound?
Bright red spotting at 6dpo don't want to get my hopes up as I want it soooo bad this month but also had a similar thing back in Dec, no spotting but lots of cramps then very early period which I assume was a fertilized egg not implanting??? Anyone else have this before ....

Hi Everyone!
My husband just began FR last night and we're going to keep that going until +OPK, which I am expecting around the 25th. So excited!!
I have one quick Q: What do you all think about peanut butter? I have been skipping breakfast, but have been eating an english muffin with about 2 tblsp of peanut butter every day for lunch. Is that girl-friendly?
Can't wait to read all of your updates!
unwirklich
April 16th, 2014, 02:23 PM
Lya, that can be a sign of pregnancy BUT many also get a small LH surge just before AF, which can give some fertile looking CM.
Elise, I don't like peanut butter, but I'd think how high it is in protein and fat would be hard. Atomic always says if you can fit it into dietary limits it's fine on occasion. (not in regards to peanut butter in particular, but that's what sthe answer seems to be on any sort of food question.
AFM, I tried a FRER and a net strip this morning. I didn't see anything on the net strip, FRER had that colorless ghost line, so I call it negative. :( but then I am only DPO 7 or 8, so I don't think I'm out yet, just could mean the spotting wasn't implantation.

lyagirl- I also had a month where I thought I had ovulated, showed all signs and everything but didn't get a positive test... then actually ovulated 10 days later. It was strange.
I am on CD6 today! So if I expect to ovulate CD14 of a 28 day cycle, should i expect the positive ovulation test on CD12 ?? This is getting so close now!! Eeek. I could be one week away from DTD! lol

I'm finally finding the courage to read and write again on here.
It's been 13 days since I had surgery for an ectopic pregnancy. My body is healing well. I have had some bad days but I feel more positive each day.
I have totally stopped LE diet since the op as I felt my body needed extra nourishment and I craved comfort food. I will get back into swaying after Easter and I'm eagerly awaiting AF as a sign that all is back to normal (minus one tube :-((. and hopefully this will mean we can start TTC again.

Lya the test line has to be as dark or preferably darker than the control line, because many women always have LH in their system. I think in 8 months of testing, I've gotten one blank OPK ever lol Maybe you O'ed later than you think? So could be too early for a BFP or just not time for AF yet.

Me and dh just booked a stay at a spa hotel this weekend. My first thought when dh suggested it was "NO WAY, I can't go, that would be totally off LE-diet" since there is afternoon tea, 3-course meals etc... but then I figured we really need to continue our normal lives to stay insane in all this swaying stuff. I therefore decided not to order the veggie menu or so, but to have a cheat day (with meat) and cheat morning day after with the hotel breakfast. Have been cheating with some fish/shellfish etc a few times during these 9 weeks so I hope that one big meaty meal is not ruining too much. We might still be here in july ttc so I'll try to relax and just enjoy the weekend without feeling too guilty.

hehe, you just may have gotten pregnant from the trial though!!
We had to practice. I didn't treat it as a martha thing it was a how can we even achieve this kind of thing since he is so much taller than me! I really don't feel stressed thankfully...just nervous! I just plan on working out and coming home and drinking a few drinks and then DTD and going to bed and not eating again until probably 1 pm the next day for the next 5 days.

Confession time. I'm so bad. I just bought (online) a blue bonded fleece hoodie newborn size and denim cargo pants 0-3 months. They cost me $15.20. A saving of $53. For those Aussies here, Pumpkin Patch brand. I know I shouldn't have but I couldn't resist.

Aww it's okay boysway! I have several girl outfits upstairs in my bedroom! They too were very cheap. If I don't end up with a girly I will give them away as gifts to people who do have girls. You will get your boy! I don't believe buying clothes can jinx anything so don't feel guilty or weird...lots of us do it!

We will need to make an attempt night of +OPK, morning after and the night after +OPK.
Boysway I would recommend attempting before that too if you can, as there will then likely be more sperm around and ready to capacitate at the right time. If you are one if those people that O 8-12 hours after pos OPK then you are in danger of having only one attempt at O which is what the girl swayers are trying to do. Also - that's a lot if attempts in a short space if time which lowers sperm count

I tested in the afternoon yesterday, cause I stayed at my sister in laws and it was a BFN...kinda made me feel out the cycle, a BFN at DPO10 cause I typically get super early results, like DPO 8, but I did a FMU test today anyway, first my temp had jumped an entire degree 99.4 (I temp'ed while I was refusing to look at the test during the 3 min wait) and then.... color line visible from a distance :running: I literally did a little victory dance...best Ostara morning gift evvver.

Well done Boysway with your weight lifting. Bet you will be lifting those weights like they were feathers in no time Go girl!
Have to say think I probably ate close to 3000 cals today Have been very sick all weekend and it being Easter couldn't resist ALL the easter eggs. And the large turkey dinner my mom made. I think I'm going to relax my sway from now on and just see if I can get pregnant. I've dropped all supps except folic acid of course. I'm getting a lot of stick from husband and family about being way too thin and I'm afraid if I loose anymore weight I might not ovulate. I'm now at 112lbs (well probably up 20 after today's feast)! But I really enjoy this thread so I'm going to still pop in and out and say hello. Going to try and dtd a lot more this month too and if I do get a bfp and it's a little man I be equally as thrilled.
Got everything crossed for you girls with upcoming attempts and best of luck to all moving on to May.

Daisy moo and Kitkat totally agree I am getting a bit fed up with it all, I know I haven't even attempted yet but I've been on the diet for about 6 months now and just want to be PG, I am also 35 and time is not on my side either. Having been away the past week and easily eating 3000 cals a day (even with skipping breakfast and having an LE lunch) I am scared to get on the scales tomorrow. I've managed 6 days a week exercise but my mum made meat or fish every day, we went out for dinner, got takeaway etc so I've probably put on weight. I'm going to be as strict as I can manage now for 2 weeks because then we have an ultra all inclusive week in Egypt coming up and I'm not passing up any eating or drinking opportunities there!!

Very sorry for your loss, MumofSix. Sending you the best of luck in your future attempts!
I have a question for anyone who might know, regarding zyrtec. I started taking it yesterday (over the counter, 24-hour), as I am planning my one attempt either Thursday or Friday, depending on when I get +opk. It made me very sleepy, but I can deal with that, if it actually works to dry up cm. My question is, if it's supposed to work for 24 hours, would I want to take it the day of my attempt and then stop, in order to allow some cm to return? I feel like I've read that, if there is too little cm, then nothing can get through to the egg during ovulation. Anyone else have experience with this?
Thanks!

And DH is cranky cause he is trying to paint the house but the kids keep "getting on the way" or wanting something from him etc and I'm trying to deal with this m/c so I'm not doing as much around the house as I probably should be. 😕 Even our cats are being naughty!!!! 😠

Afm, we need to start bd for the start of our sway attempt and poor dh has been so tired lately. Actually, I am feeling a little nervous. I usually get LH fade in around 4 days before ovulation. Nothing so far. Hopefully I am just being impatient :worry: Odd, I am having a very, very hard time staying on my diet. I really hope I get my bfp straight away. Rosie,
Today is my second peak day and my cheapy opks are still dark. I just had my first attempt a little while ago. I was not able last night because my youngest dd was up till very late 😩.
After kicking and screaming lol, I told my dh I felt betrayed by him for doing this to me. I don't know why but my dh seems to freeze when i tell him its time to bd and its difficult for him to complete his task. You would think the dh would be excited to bd but i see that he feels as if i am asking him to do a 007 mission. He always becomes nervous and has asked me previously to not tell him and just dtd but i always get in the moment and expect him to be as happy as me that we are bd'ing for a reason. He tells ne that he wants to do his part perfectly so now I get that he feels i am asking a lot from him. Sorry for venting and thank you ladies for your support. I would not be able to share this with even my closest friend ☺💕❤
Ps i might be able to get my last bd in today. I just wasn't able to get the first bd at +opk :)

Ha kitkat I'm so the same as you when it comes to 'it's sex time now'! My dh would run a mile if I told him he had to put out at a certain time so like you I have to pretend I'm really not interested so that in turn makes him want to dtd Works a treat all the time!!! As I'm doing a more relaxed sway this month thought we could dtd every day up to ovulation. But have been so sick in bed the last few days (this never happens to me) haven't been able to do anything and its cd10 today so hope to get better soon and start dtd or we might not make this month aaarrrggghhhhhh!!!!
To all you ladies suffering over the holidys with unruly kids and bold dhs I'm so sorry you are having a hard time. I think families seem to get on much better when there's a routine in place like school etc. You poor guys! Try running your kids around a park or somewhere all day and put them to bed early then hopefully you could run a nice hot bath (alone!) That could help ease a bit of the stress hopefully.

Oh and boysway I really don't think weight gain is most important in your sway. I have 3 ds and was always at my lowest weight when I conceived them. Diet is most important. I had a perfect boy diet but my food and snacks didn't put any weight on. Just choose healthy foods that don't make you put on weight, like nuts and seeds, oatmeal, tuna, eggs and drink lots of green tea This will help you not put on weight. And I swear the one with jasmine got me my boys! Best of luck with attempt!

lol Rosie, hope you have made up with your hubby! Agree with odd - no matter how p1ssed you are with him, get that attempt in - totally worth it not to be on the diet any longer than necessary!! As you say, you are ready for meat and fat....mmmmm......just getting distracted by that lovely thought....
yogi - hope you also made up with your hubby and got your attempt in - although if you are swaying blue hopefully you may have only missed one attempt out of a few so all good?
Sorry to hear everyone's kids are driving them crazy, must be something in the global air as when I picked DS up yesterday he was in such a bad mood from he moment we got home until I put him in bed! lol mumofsix even your cat is being naughty!
Boysway, hope you managed to start attempting, I have to say I am the tired one at night so am secretly glad to only need to do BD every 4 days/one attempt. Last time TTC we BD every 1.5/2 days which was exhausting! Not that DH is complaining, he would be up for more frequent BD but is OK with what we are doing. It probably sucks even more to have to put on weight than it is for us having to lose/maintain weight - poor you, really hope you get your BFP and you are welcome to my blue dust :) - agree with daisymoo, you can still have a great boy sway maintaining weight by eating the right food. I used to LOVE chicken and avocado wraps, sometimes with some pistacios and salad leaves - probably the perfect boy sway lunch and I had 2!! I hadnt put on recent weight when I conceived DS I had been the same weight for a really long time. I took green tea capsules every day as well as I couldnt stand the taste of green tea but wanted the health benefits.
kitkat great tips, I usually just tell DH I am in the mood (whether I am or not), that gets him in the mood lol
Boysway
April 23rd, 2014, 09:47 AM
Daisymoo and stephk, unfortunately I'm not worried about trying to put on weight. I am having trouble maintaining my weight. My weight has gone up by just over 5 kgs (11.02pds) since mid January. I eat the nuts, tuna, eggs, oatmeal. If I eat bread it is only wholemeal. I only cook wholemeal pasta. I think it's the quantities I am eating. I can't keep my stomach full for long no matter what I try. I also do a fair few nightshifts and I eat on nightshift what I would through the day.
I have tried drinking green tea but, I can't stomach it. I will have a green tea bag in with my normal tea bag but, not for long. I would rather not have too much green tea anyway as I don't want to take a chance on it having a negative affect on my cm. I don't have much now.
We haven't even started bding for our attempt yet :( Dh has been too tired. I also usually get fade in OPK's by now and haven't had them. I think I will have to pull out the lingerie as well :( I hesitate though, dh has turned me down even when wearing lingerie :( Plus, he has also been known to 'freeze' under pressure.

i used to take green tea capsules as i couldnt stand the taste of tea. I thought they were supposed to have a good effect on cm? (i could be wrong though). I was also taking evening primrose oil capsules AF-O and then flaxseed capsules and vitamin E capsules from O-AF (I didnt know then that flaxseed is a no no and I took them throughout my pregnancy with DS). I had way more EWCM then than I do now. Think I may have also had prenatal vitamins too.
you may have put on some of the weight from lifting weights too. I know it wont all have come from that but it will have contributed a little bit. Definitely have protein and carbs at every meal (i am sure you know that and do that). Do you like milk? If I ever used to still be hungry (or think I was hungry) after a meal or before bed I would drink some full fat milk.

Ha! I know So much for men wanting sex 24/7!!! If we didn't have sex for a month in my house my dh wouldn't even notice!!!
Boysway don't worry about the weight issue As I said before it's the diet that's most important If you're eating boy foods every day your sway will be perfect. You'll get that little man in the end. Don't forget to eats lots of bowls of cereal too It's one of the most popular boy foods I would eat a large box of special k on my own every week Miss it sooooo much!

Well Dh and I made up but now I haven't gotten a +opk...this is nuts. It should have been today at the latest. It is nowhere close to being positive either. Guess my cycle is off again. I wonder if eating some meat would help bring it on?? I have been kind of low in protein this week.
Yogi- I hope you got your attempt in today.
Daisy- I hope you feel better soon
I really think something is in the air with all of these kids and Dh's acting up. Hopefully it passes soon for us all.

okay so I didn't take an opk last Saturday because I forgot one and I was at my moms all day and night. What if I got my positive then?! I did have cramping and what looked like ewcm. Now I super nervous that I did. Hubby and I did DTD in the shower on Wed or Thurs?? So I would have had some spermies in there I think so hopefully if that was the case...I still have a chance?

Strangely enough I also really miss cereal! Special K with full fat milk oh yes.... I haven't touched any kind of cereal - that and fruit juice are my only banned foods.
I know if a lot if boy mums who ate cereal right before bed if that helps anyone :)

It didn't seem like my friday opk was even close to becoming dark and it was two days ago...it looked like it was going to turn so I tested 3 times a day. Now I tested today and it's lighter than yesterdays. So confused. I wish we just would have done the BD every 4 days now instead. I am hoping it is just late and will show up by this friday.

Hi Rosie Oh I feel your pain I hate this part! Trying to figure out ovulation! What cd are you on? You may not even have ovulated yet. What cd did you ovulate last cycle? If you had missed it last Sat would it be normal for you to only get one positive or would you normally get more? I think the really good news is that you did the deed on Wed or Thurs so if you did ovulate around Sat that sounds like a perfect pink attempt. Don't lose hope yet My guess is that you haven't really ovulated yet.

Stephk, that's what I am hoping. That ovulation may just be a little later. It would have been good to ovulate around the 26th-27th as that is Saturday and Sunday. Saturday would be best. Try to get someone to look after the kids so we don't have to worry about the kids hearing us. I think that's half of dh's worry. See, the problem is my Dh has never had much of a libido. Whereas, my libido isn't too bad. I could count on one hand how many times we have bd this year :(
Rosie, I hope your +OPK is right around the corner. I wouldn't worry about the fact you may have missed your +OPK. If you missed it, then you missed it. I have a suspicion you are yet to ovulate. Remember, stress can delay ovulation.
Welcome seamaiden.
Well, it looks like I have the start of my fade in pattern. Very faint but, it is there. Maybe I can cue hubby for a morning bd. I am thinking when I do get my +OPK it is important for us to bd the morning of and the night of at the very least. I already have his cans of Mother energy drink in the fridge :)
Anyone else getting anxiety? I had some anxiety yesterday but, I think that was to do with competencies that I had to do for work yesterday. I have the same problem today though. Heart racing, breathless and stomach issues. I think it's to do with our coming attempt.

Thanks guys, the appointment was fine, unfortunately I was 15 mins late as I messed up the timing, I thought it was at 12.30 and it was 12....there was still time to have a quick discussion on why I was there and have treatment. I had a gentle back treatment for hormonal balancing. She said that because I had AF last week it was best not to be too stimulating in order to promote a natural cycle. I have another appointment next wednesday. She did recommend an appointment every week for 6 weeks then go to every other week, but I cant afford that so I will go to next weeks, have my holiday and then see if I need any further appointments. Hopefully by then I will have news of when the ultrasound appointment might be too.
And - TMI alert - when I got back to work I went to the loo on my way back in and I had a lot of watery cm so something must have worked!
Not sure when I should start testing with OPKs now, I am on CD10. We havent BD for almost 2 weeks (tried dropping hints last night but DH preferred to watch some stupid TV programme) and keeping up with every 4 days seems a bit ambitious so rather than pressurise ourselves I would rather just BD when we can and then one attempt at pos OPK.
boysway - both DH and I have rubbish libido! I am the same as your DH, I hate the thought of anyone hearing us so if we ever have guests or are staying elsewhere I cannot do it. I think in the year or so after DS was born you could count on one hand the number of times we had BD, we only really stepped it up this year to TTC and we still cant manage every 4 days! - shameful really but DH doesnt put in any effort just wants to go straight to the main event :( if its going to be crap then it may as well be for a purpose (how bad does that sound lol). Its great that you are getting your fade in pattern now - the only thing I will say is that if you can, BD now as well as saturday and sunday if you can. I know its not going to be easy getting your DH to do it but after such a long abstain and then 2 attempts in one day, its more of a pink attempt.
Rosie - I am sure that you will O very soon. Good luck for the attempt.

Steph if I were you I would start testing today! CD10 is a good day for most women. I started on CD8 but I did that because my cycle is wonky.
I am cd14 today and having some cramping and ewcm. Hoping for a positive opk today when I test at 1pm. I am thinking of doing BD tonight whether I get it or not though since I am having symptoms. Anyone think this is a bad idea??
Boysway I have anxiety too! I think you should just get in as much BD as you can. In my opinion that really sways blue. For my first son I had a pretty pink lifestyle and I really think I had a blue baby because the sex was constant. Sperm abound! lol.

Yes that is a great point, thank you, everything else about me at the moment is pretty much pink (except weekend eating), I was just doing the acupuncture to help with ovulation. Another 95 day cycle is not acceptable!
I will start testing today, atomic also said it was a good idea to start testing now. Hoping to get DH interested tonight....
Rosie - when did you last BD? I would definitely attempt if you can because you dont know when you will get that positive. Dont know about the zyrtec as Im not an expert on the supps as I am not doing them.
daisymoo
April 24th, 2014, 11:31 AM
Rosie I suppose it really depends on when you last dtd Was it less than four days ago? You could definitely attempt if it was more than four days and then attempt again at positive opk if it's far enough away from today. You know you can get cramps etc well before ovulation so it may not be a great predictor of when you will ovulate It might be a few days yet Wait and see if you get a positive opk first. I don't see any harm in taking zyrtek I think you can take them 8 hours before attempt but not sure so maybe don't take my advice on that bit sorry!!!

When are you planning on trying?
Was thinking May, but may do June since I didn't realize how involved a sway can be
Have you started to sway yet?
Started diet yesterday - going to (possibly) work on starting Saturday
Did you get a personalized plan or are you working on your own?
Yes purchased and waiting on now
Which gender are you hoping for?
TT Sway Pink - have two darling sons now
Any concerns you have currently?
I am concerned with crazy exercise and limiting calories - I also have underlying health issues making me high risk and on blood thinners
Can't wait to join you all! (Trying to read through all the 98 pages!)

okay the opk was negative still. We haven't had unprotected BD for a week. Maybe I should BD tonight and then keep testing the opk and if it isn't positive in 4 days then BD again. If it is positive tomorrow or the next day my attempt would still be in a good time frame right?? I will test again later today as well.

April 24th, 2014, 01:01 PM
Welcome suzie!
Rosie - if it's been a week and you can get him interested then BD. As you say, if you get the positive in the next couple of days you have your attempt sorted, if not you will BD on pos OPK.
I just peed in a cup but it was so pale there was no point testing!!
Rosie85
April 24th, 2014, 01:20 PM
Steph, I have had that...I just dumped it and drank more water and then waited another 4 hours...such an annoying pain!
I will wait and see what my test says tonight but I think we will BD. With my symptoms I would be surprised to not get a + by tomorrow so it won't matter much if BD is today or tomorrow. I just hate to plan BD for saturday or even tomorrow when we often have surprise visitors show up and that could ruin our plans!

Welcome susie I think May is going to be a busy month.
I have a question myself. just wondering what ye think I should do. I had planned on dtd daily from af this month but due to us all being ill I only had my first attempt this morning, on the first day of my smiley face opk. Do ye think I'll run my chances of pink if I dtd daily for the next few days if it's right in the middle of fertile time? I really want to get pregnant fast and have dropped all supps except folic acid and aspirin and loosened up on the diet a good bit but I'm still afraid to go too blue!!! What should I do?

Daisy - it depends how important getting pg is vs swaying pink. I'm pretty set on doing only 1 attempt per month in my sway for at least 6 months before giving up because I feel like the 1 attempt is very important.
That being said if I had been trying forever and just wanted to get pg, I'd go ahead and do more attempts.
FWIW, I have planned a light sway - just folic acid, diet, exercise, and one attempt (and FR for DH, at least for the first few cycles we are trying). I consider the one attempt to be a pretty important part of my light sway and that would be one of the very last things I'd give up.
ETA - the fact that you are sick is awesome for your sway as it is! One attempt + being sick could make for an amazing sway. GL to you. I know it sucks being sick, but at least it will help you!

thanks bluebonnet It's hard because even though I want to get pregnant fast I still don't want to throw all my hard work out the window Been on diet since early Jan. But if I do hear blue I don't want to regret anything Maybe I'll take the advice I gave Rosie and dtd again in another four days. And if it doesn't work this month then I'll dtd daily next month.
Thanks for your help It helps to hear other people's opinion Think my mind goes around in circles at times!

Mum of six- so sorry for your loss
Steph-so glad things are going well for you!
Rosie I saw the stepstool part lol. I hope that you get your +opk soon!!
BTW if you and dh argue what I always do is wait until we both have gotten out of the shower (tmi here) and I'll get on my knees so to speak, that always gets him in the mood and I remember in the ttc boy thread reading that saliva sways pink. SO that's always a route (again sorry for the tmi but it works after all is done I say "I still don't like you" that keeps him away for a few days. ( I may have to pick a fight around attempt time now that I think of it lol)
AFM this past weekend would have been a great attempt weekend, we took a mini vacation away with no children to a boutique hotel. It was great, there was a hot tub (in the room, but no dtd directly in the hot tub) involved, a steam shower and a few bottles of wine. If I could recreate that during attempt time that would be amazing!! But that won't happen, I won't know when I ovulate. I will be a bit MIA for the next few weeks, a paper to write and finals.
I hope all is well with every one.
Welcome Suzie!

Pale urine is a sign that it is diluted which would provide a possible false negative.
Rosie85
April 24th, 2014, 03:55 PM
I have read though as long as you didn't drink 2 hours before testing it should be fine, even if it is a little pale. Not sure how accurate it is, just what I read.

Oh an a side note, last night I had a dream I was pregnant and went in for an ultrasound and they told me it was a boy, for some reason I didn't believe them and told them to look inside me (?) but they made my belly see through and I saw her lady parts. I am praying that it is a good sign.
stephk
April 24th, 2014, 04:03 PM
I had also read that pale urine wouldn't have enough hormone in it so can lead to a false negative. As we are going to BD anyway I'll just start testing tomorrow. Will bear in mind if it's ever pale again and I haven't drank anything for 2 hours just to test, thanks Rosie
