A lot of you probably don't remember. Although I wasn't a super contributor I did my fair share of posts.
I was meant to start TTC last August, however due to some personal issues my partner and I decided to hold off for another year. Even though I agreed fully, this sent me down a path of depression and it triggered my anxiety ( that and vitex). My anxiety is still around. I'm not sure how to get rid of that yet. I have my good and I have my bad days.
Our personal issues are 100% cleared up however we have decided that if we don't try soon we may never try.
As much as the last 12 months have been incredibly hard and I wish 2013 had never happened. I've learnt alot!!! One main thing i've learnt.... I'm barely in control of ANYTHING. My goodness I've been a control freak my whole life. But theres so much in life that's out of my control it's been un real to me.
Even though I decided to stop coming to this forum, there wasn't a day where swaying left my mind. I've since decided I wont do a full sway, I'd much rather do a relaed sway. I get stressed out way too easily.

Due to my anemia, I've decided to go on the NuvaRing as well. Have any of you ladies used the NuvaRing before? Did any of you ladies use the Nuvaring the month before conceiving? Does it sway at all?

I'm happy to be back although I wont be back as much as I was once was. I hope everything is going well =)

My friend used it and she ended up pregnant with number 5 that way. I am not sure if it is supposed to be as effective as the pill but that's all I really know about it.

Oh, you mean she fell pregnant on it?
Does it sway in any way like the pill?

Yes and she had her 4th boy. The child before that(number 4 at the time had been her first girl after 3 boys, went on nuvaring and got pregnant with number 5!

I feel like on paper, any hormonal birth control ~should~ sway pink because it messes with the cervical crypts that make EWCM, but I sometimes wonder if the people who are able to get pg on it, are "set" for boys to start with, if that makes any sense. As in, they make such nice EWCM and in such good quantity that is able to overcome the "pinkness" of the Nuvaring.

I am not liking the results we're getting with people TTC coming off birth control. Most not getting pg and it feels like a higher % of miscarriages which is unacceptible to me

PS - welcome back Cherry!!

I got my girl after a very difficult time in my life where I learnt the hard lesson about how any control is really just an illusion and a gift from God. Wishing you the very best and please let me know if I can help in any way.

So is this something you would suggest me not going on? Or stopping a good three months before we start trying ( like when I start the diet)?

*-I think it's fine to go on it as a form of birth control and even if you want to TTC after stopping them - but just that I don't think I'm going to recommend doing that strictly as a sway tactic any more.

I got pregnant using NuvaRing correctly. I felt really off on the day I was supposed to start and thought, "That would be funny if I was pregnant." I took a pregnancy test and it was a BFP. I had an adorable baby boy! :)

:agree: these are not in any way magic bullets and so that's another reason why I am shying away from using as a sway tactic - they are not 100%, peopel are not getting pg and it feels to me like more losses may be happening - so I think if you are using them for BC anyway you can encorporate them, but otherwise don't start them solely for swaying because we have other stuff that works great without the trouble/possible risk.

thank you for sharing experiences

I didn't get pg on the NuvaRing (I have gotten pg on the combined pill more than once), but I only used it for a month. I hated it bc it completely dried me up! More than any other hormonal birth control I've used.

Oh really?
I haven't tried it just yet. The dr have me a sample to try.
After speaking to my friends non of them have heard about it.
Makes me a bit wary to try it to be honest.
