PH~around 4.5-5.5
Husband's PH~no clue

Diet~was eating mostly vegetarian and low sodium for a few months. Didn't eat tomatoes, potatoes, or bananas for at least 6 weeks. Def. ate more of a low everything diet. I was hardcore for the 2 weeks before our attempt. Husband was awesome and followed diet as well. Rice, pasta, green beans, tofu etc...
Drank Milk with my latte in the am. and would try to drink a glass a night. Also drank a glass or 2 of crystal light daily. Added equal to my morning latte. My husband drank loads of crystal light.

Went from 128 lbs down to 123 lbs before attempt.

Supps. Calcium, Magnesium, Cranberry, Hubby and me both. Had Hubby take licorice root from the end of my AF through ovulation.

Took Zyrtec 2 days before attempt thru 2 days after attempt.

Had husband abstain for 14 days! It was tough but I was proud of him!

Timing~was going to a 3 day cut off and NEVER ovulate early. We ended up with a 1 day cut off. :(

I ovulated on my right side which was opposite of my son.

Used entire tube of rePHresh at midnight and DTD at 9am. Missionary, shallow release, no O, I laid there for about 7-10 minutes then dumped. There was ALOT of gel up their from the rePHresh~I honestly can't believe a lil sperm made it's way through that stuff!

Stopped weights for 2 months, worked out 3 days a week and did high intensity cardio. Honestly lost all the muscle I had~definitely looked and felt very skinny. :)

I ovulated on Sunday and the New Moon was on Monday :0 We were traveling and in North Carolina, there was a huge thunderstorm/rain 2 days before attempt, tons of humidity in the air (negative ions!) Spent lots of time outdoors. Wore a trion z bracelet. used lavendar lotion at home a bunch before we left for trip. Used my crystal rock lamp before we left and also used a fan while on laptop for 2 weeks before attempt.

We have 1 17 month old son. I honestly feel like I did the best sway I could. Was very happy to get preggo on our first attempt. I have a high risk pregnancy so I should be seeing this baby weekly on ultrasound. I hit 12 weeks around August 7th~so I will update sex as soon as I find out. Praying that I can hold this baby in and I am so excited to add a little girl or boy to our family! Due date is Feb 18th 2012

oh forgot to add. I didn't quit caffeine but I only drink one shot espresso latte every morning which has less caffeine than one cup of coffee.

Also didn't stop drinking alcohol occasionally. Had occasional glass of wine and vodka drinks with diet soda and seltzer water. We were traveling for a wedding so there was definitely drinks involved over this attempt. I didn't let my husband drink any beer though for 2 weeks before thru attempt. Our friends ALL have boys and they all drink beer. The one friend who is a vodka drinker (hates beer) just had a little girl!

Wow! An entire tube of RepHresh!!! And you still got preggers!?! That's awesome. Sounds like you had a pretty solid sway! FX that your pregnancy is easy-breezy (and little to no m/s!). If anyone gets a pink bean it'll be you! :HH:

Huge congratulations! I'm so excited to see you got pregnant even though you used a full tube of Rephresh less than 12 hours before :D

Thanks ladies! I know I was in shock that something made it through that much rePHresh! I sure hope it worked! I do want to add I checked my PH later in the day that I ovulated. I definitely saw some green on the strip which means the rePHresh did not keep my PH at a 5.5. I figured at that point whatever sperms where waiting were already all the way up there and my egg had already dropped so it would'nt make any difference if I added anything. So I didn't. Just an FYI though. :)

My husband was going crazy with the abstaining thing. I wasn't even allowed to get undressed in front of him. Every time he would complain I would just tell him...it could help us get our girl=2 kids, not 3 (we are both ok with stopping if this is a girl). He definitely was miserable though!

Hi Stella

I just posted a link to your sway as an example of a Rephresh BFP and I see you're 12 weeks along already - wow, seems like only yesterday you got your BFP! I hope you're doing well.

Zanacal~Thanks for the link. I was so surprised with that BFP! I am doing good, been super sick with this one. Been on IV hydration therapy at home since 5 and half weeks. Baby is looking perfect though. Had an ultrasound at 11w 2days and you could totally see the nub. There was two lines and they were perfectly parallel (not pointing up or down). The tech would not give me a guess (said it was too early). I have my next ultrasound on the 26th of this month and will find out then if this sway worked or not. I can't wait!!

Oh my goodness, poor you! Were you sick with your last pregnancy too? It sounds so rough. I'm happy to hear baby is doing well though and that's promising about the nub! Take care x

So sorry to hear you're so sick! But hooray for a healthy bean! Keep us posted and take care; I can't imagine taking care of a little one while feeling so sick!

Not sure how to edit my title...but my sway FAILED! It's another boy for me! I'm doing ok, still in shock since I really thought this was a girl. I'm happy my little boy will have a brother and I will have another sweet momma's boy. Not sure why this failed or maybe swaying doesn't work? Either way I feel happy that I gave it the effort. Not sure about trying for a third, if I did I would do PGD. Good luck to all of you swayers out there!

I think you gave it a great effort!! I was so bummed (cried right there on the table) when my DS2 was revealed at the ultrasound but now that he's almost 2 I am so happy he is who he is, not that I wasn't up until this point but now his personality is really coming through and he is a sweetie pie!! At the time I was convinced that I was done having babies, with the complications I had in his delivery and the recovery afterwards, but I am now ready to give it another shot. I wish you all the best with your new sweet pea!!

Iīm sorry you donīt have a little girl in there like you wished. I hope you can be happy knowing you gave it the best you could, but it sounds like you are doing good.
It is going to be fantastic seeing those two brothers play together and become best friends!
And most importantly, I hope you are feeling better and that your pregnancy will proceed without problems this time.

Oh Stella, I'm so sorry. I completely agree with Indira, it will make you so happy to see your little boys playing together, it certainly does me. It's such a difficult journey this swaying business - because that's all it is, no guarantee, and the amount of effort doesn't always show itself in the outcome iykwim. Many {hugs} and congratulations on your healthy baby boy :D

Hi I'm new to this website and I saw your sway about a week ago. Your sway was amazing and you gave it your best shot! I'm so sorry you didn't get your little girl!! I'm still in research/planning mode for my sway, which I'm planning for sometime early next year, but your story makes me really question if any of this stuff really works. Again, I'm sorry for your disappointment, I was upset when we found out we were having DS #2, but now I wouldn't change him for the world!!

I responded to your other thread, but wanted to add something here too. I'm sorry you didn't hear the news you wanted, but very happy your little guy looks healthy. The relationship between brothers is really a beautiful thing - you'll enjoy watching your ds1 and ds2 growing up together :HH:.
