We'll ladies just a quick update as I am not home yet. First the OB said one baby is 100% girl, she looked from each side and could clearly see labia and clitoris. Then she tried to get a potty shot and there was nothing between the legs but after looking for a couple minutes she wasn't sure. She did look only for gender for about 15 minutes. She kept switching between both babies and when she switched back to the "girl" the last time she wasn't sure anymore. She still said she couldn't see a scrotum but there seemed to appear something between the legs she couldn't identify. Here is "her" potty shot, please let me honestly know what you think. Shouldn't we see 3 lines?

The second baby is a boy for sure! I don't have a potty shot but we could both clearly see scrotum and penis.

I think that's your little girl pumpkin! I have felt all along your intuition of boy girl twins was going to be correct. So exciting!!

OMG are you sure girls? How reliable is a potty shot at that gestation?
Bunny the boys potty shot looked 100% EXACTLY like yours. I still feel this one is a girl and I didn't see anything that would make me think boy but I am so confused because she said she wasn't 100% sure at the end but she said she would lean more girl than boy. Is it accurate even if we don't see clearly 3 lines?

Those are the 2 legs right? There is nothing in between them!!

Yep grease monkey. Two legs and I would expect to see something between them if it was a boy especially since they are not close together?!

I think if it that little one was a boy you would see more at that gestation. I bet at your next scan it'll be much more clearly a typical girl potty shot.
One of each twin wise would be my dream. I am so jealous of you in the nicest way possible of course! Congrats

Thanks waiting4daisy I so hope you girls are right! Bunny I looked at your potty shot again and we could see even more today. We could clearly see a scrotum and a little penis sticking out. I am kind of mad at myself now that I didn't ask for the boys potty shot!

Yep, there is nothing there to indicate boy!!! I would think if this one was a boy at least something would show up!!! But it's all girl IMO even though I am not an expert!

This gives me hope, I have another scan on the 25th of February and I will be 15 weeks exactly, I hope I can see clues of gender :)

I answered on the other thread, but wanted to say again that is exactly what my girl's potty shot looked like at 15w, and at one point I saw something between the legs and freaked out but it was cord, there was for sure no scrotum. As you saw with the other one, boys have a full penis and scrotum at that point so I am confident this is your girl. At 15 weeks all I had on the potty shot for my girl was "lack" of something between the legs. By 19 weeks they were able to show me clitoris, labia and flaps, which sounds like tmi but I so needed that confirmation!!
Can you have the next scan somewhere else? Maybe the tech just wasn't very confident.

You ladies are awesome, thank you so much for making me feel better. As soon as my OB started changing her mind I thought to myself 'just give me a potty shot so I can go and ask my girls!'
Meeks in Germany it doesn't work like that. You choose an OB Gyn you is responsible for you during the whole pregnancy and you can't switch them. My OB gyn does all the scans except for anatomy and NT scan. I tried and called other places telling them I would pay for a scan but they don't do that.
In 1w5d I have my next appointment with my gyn and then anatomy scan with the specialists in exactly 5 weeks. Hopefully she will be able to tell me on the 20th!!
Lauraly I was on fertility meds so unfortunately there is no secret I could share with you. But atomic has written an awesome essay on swaying for twins, you should read it ;).
B/G twins would be great! DS is telling us from the very first day that he is having a brother and a sister.
Meeks thanks for sharing your experience. If I wouldn't have seen the boys potty shot I might have doubts but I could compare them both and it was a difference like day and night.
If you zoom in you can see something between the legs, that's nothing to worry about, is it??

No don't worry about that shadow that is most likely where the cord joins. Especially as it's so dark it's clearly further away.
Yes sorry I meant at the anatomy scan make sure it's done by someone else, but I didn't realise your ob did the first one. Ob's aren't super reliable with gender picking so I would go with the potty shot and assume girl/boy twins. Our system sounds the same with ob's and scans, although we can pay for private ones if we wish, it's not common. My ob told me boy at 11w but he said that based on a potty shot and showed me a very convincing looking doodle. This turned out to be the long flat girl nub, because when viewed from that angle at that gestation that's how they look! At 15w my ob said the opposite, and said girl, with a shot that looked like yours, almost exactly. Then I had my anatomy scan at the specialist and she told me girl at 19 weeks and I was far more sure then, because they are the experts. She said she was confident. Of course I still asked my ob to "prove to me she was a girl" at my following appointment anyway, just to be sure, and this was around 22 weeks I think. That was when I got the breakdown of lips and labia and so on.

Can anyone else take a guess please? I am still worried about that shadow :(.
Also, is there a way a penis could stick up and not be seen when the legs are spread wide open like on the pic? I have read that girls are mistaken for boys far more often than the other way around and am freaking out now.

Pumpkin I can see the shadow & understand your doubts. BUT I think that if it was a scrotum/penis it would be as clear & defined as the legs. It also wouldn't appear that far away. I've never seen any of my boys at that gestation, only 20 weeks, so I'm not exactly sure what can be seen at 15 weeks. I do think it'd be much clearer if it was a boy. I still think you have B/G twins, which is awesome!!

I am guessing girl too. I think it is promising that the shadow is something other than a penis because both thighs are present in the scan (if the scan was further back and didn't show the thighs, then the penis could be hidden more easily).

Baby boy peepers are really tiny at that point so there is no way it could float away anywhere that would not be visible on that ultrasound!!

I had another scan yesterday and baby A, the one with the girly potty shot on page 1 did look like a boy to my OB while baby B, who was confirmed 100% boy at 15 weeks seems to be a girl.
Anyways, baby A's potty shots looked very girly to me and she only gave me a profile shot were you basically can only see the genital area. Would you guys mind taking a look at it and let me now it this are boy parts please?

How does the ob know which baby is which? Maybe she mucked up which was a and b??
I can't tell from that shot. It's not screaming boy to me though. Are you going to pay for a private gender scan or wait to the anatomy scan?
