I'm really hoping to find some more gals who are TTC next cycle with me. I'd LOVE some cycle buddies if possible and someone to share in the excitement. Anyone out there?
This morning I'm fighting the urge to bust into DH's cookie stash and eat some cookies for breakfast. :p Must.Say.NO. lol I CAN and must wait until later to eat them...WITH my lunch. ;)

Hi greeneyes,
I also struggle big time with the no snacking!! In fact, I don't do very well with it at all, lol!
I have had an attempt this month, so I guess I am currently in 2ww - but if things don't work out then I shall shout you!!
How long have you been on Le for? How are you finding it? Are you exercising?xx

I've been LE for 15-18 mo. I'm not exercising. I don't have time for it and KNOW I wouldn't stick with it if I did. :( it's 8:00 here. Trying to hold out until at least 11:00. I'm dying here! Lol I was doing good but then I started cooking all these yummy foods to help keep the place warm and of course I want to eat it ALL. NOW. lol I should get a package from amazon today though with ttc stuff in it. :) That should help kick me into compliance haha

I am a Feb ttc - er!
I started LE in oct and was v strict but it all went wrong nov/dec so back on it now and exercising with it. I am CD1 today so have 6 weeks until attempt!
What supps are you ladies taking?
Ive been taking Agnus Castus (vitex) last cycle as my LP was v short (just had a 13 day one so it must have done something!) But not taking it from now on if I dont need it hopefully as it gave me soooo much ewcm!
Going to take
Baby asprin
Fibre
Antihistamines
Hubby is having LR
Ive bought rephresh but not 100% on using it as if we dont get pg in feb its on hold until May!!! Plus the stats dont show a huge increase from the inverse stats x

January 8th, 2014, 03:52 PM
I'm doing the antihistamine, sometimes the fiber, I'll do baby aspirin, rephresh, folic acid... This mo I'm doing vitex to delay O, and then next cycle I will do clomid. I'm also doing cinnamon and have noticed it moved o up and lengthened my LP. As an added bonus it has reduced the frequency and severity of my migraines! Woohoo! Still have a shorter LP but I think 10 days is much better the 7! ;)

Hi All
I will be attempting this month (coming off BCP this friday woop!) but as its unlikely to happen first time, I will probably be joining you next month :)
I had an extremely naughty day yesterday, about 2700 cals, 90g fat eeeeeek! Had such an awful day at work and felt starving hungry from the moment I got up at 515! i couldn't stop myself. Thankfully I had burned 800 in the gym but sheesh. Redeemed myself today. Very bad at not snacking. I hope the exercise carries me through.
Wow all of those supps sound really complicated - how do you feel taking all of that?
greeneyes
January 8th, 2014, 05:06 PM
Wow lol that is a naughty day! ;) I've been there though!
The sups aren't that complicated-at least mine aren't. The cinnamon I take daily with my folic acid and the vitex will only be for this mo. I take some fiber if I have a particularly bad meal cheat. The baby aspirin I won't start until next mo along with the folic acid and the antihistamine 11 hours before attempt. Oh I'll start rephresh next mo too.
As soon as I get a bfp I'll start prenatals and probiotics. :)

Just be aware it could take you a while to get a regular cycle after stopping BCP. With my son it was fine and I was pg within 6 weeks but I stopped them this time in March 2013 as I wanted to track my cycles and they have been all over the place, I still have a short LP from it even now almost a year later so theres no way I could have gotten pg :( x

I got my TTC mail today!! :running: I got 40 IC OPKs with 10 IC HPTs, a three package of CBE digital HPTs with weeks estimator, and a box of CBE fertility monitor strips! :D I have two boxes of repHresh at home, I have some children's antihistamine (I can take that too, lol), I believe the only thing I'm lacking is baby aspirin. Still need to get that. :)
Soooo excited! :D

Yikes MrsM! its amazing how much damage BCP can do to you actually. Last time my periods came back completely straight away but this time I have pep tea that have messed with the BCP a bit. I am going to be interested to see what actually happens. When I was drinking 2 cups of pep tea a day before, I was having periods when I shouldnt so I was convinced the BCP wasn't working (thankfully DH and I were going through a phase where one of us constantly had a cold so sleeping in separate rooms and no chance to BD!). I forgot to take my pep tea to my mums over xmas so didn't have any then and since I got back I've had no more than one cup a day but not very often. So we will see. I struggle to remember the folic acid this time, I take it most days but I am just not very good at taking stuff.
But yes, you are right, it may take a while, I might still be here in a few months with nothing happening. Gosh I don't know how long its possible to fully keep up the diet. Even though I don't do it every single day, it can be hard going. Oh well curry night tomorrow, definitely has to be a day off the diet!!

I thought the mirena had hormones in it? Wouldn't that help prevent pregnancy vs just the normal IUD element of it?
Good luck! Hope you regulate soon! I'm CD9 myself. :)

Hi Greeneyes, nice our cycle days are close, though I will probably end up longer than you!
I wouldn't be so sure of that, lol. I'm taking vitex this cycle to delay ovulation. I have an appt at the end of the mo with my GYN and I'll NOT be happy if I have to reschedule it because I'm on my period and its super heavy. I know they can do paps when on your period but its usually really heavy and uncomfortable. I don't see why anyone would want that added discomfort at that time in their cycle, lol. I plan on talking to my OB about my short LPs so I really don't want to miss this appt!
I'm counting on an attempt closer to the end of February beginning of March.

I feel ya! Somedays I have a lot of hunger, some days I have none. It seems to balance itself out that way. I've also noticed I "seem" hungry when I'm most likely not and I've actually got heartburn (sometimes heartburn can mainfest itself as feeling hungry. DH told me about that and its true! lol) so I take some OTC zantac.
Hope we all get PG the first shot for sure!!

I'm taking a large dose of cinnamon. Atomic wants me to cut back cause it increases your risk for bleeding. It's not really needed unless you have insulin resistance which I think I must have since it helped my cycle but I'm staying on it for the help it's giving my migraines! If you can find a dose under 500mg and want to try it, take it with a meal.
I have noticed increased ewcm starting early this cycle! We aren't making an attempt, but hopefully it still delays O. I'm not taking the vitex for my attempt cycle so I'm good there. ;) with the ewcm have you ladies tried drying it up with an antihistamine? That way you might get the best of both worlds.

Hey everyone!
Jumping in with this group as our first attempt will be the beginning of February!
I've been skipping or holding off on breakfast since the end of December and am keeping my calorie intake low. I do have some coffee in the morning with some light milk or creamer. I'm exercising a ton, so I can't go too low with my calories or I get really shaky and feel light-headed. I've been exercising for an hour almost everyday and boy, am I feeling it :) I'm hoping the exercise will help with any minor diet fails I may have.
Good to luck everyone!! Here's hoping February is a popular month for pink!

Vitex-so the Ewcm is changing over now to the lotion-y cm and there's so much of it! :o hoping this is the start to it drying my up and not a sign I've already ovulated. :( Well if I did then I guess that just means we ttc sooner them later! ;)

Well, two days of pos opks, my CM dried up yesterday and my temps are still low today, so I guess I tried to O, but the vitex stopped it. ;) Doing great lately with the diet too! I was super busy this weekend and didn't feel good so I didn't eat a lot, then I slept all day monday and only ate once and then only ate twice yesterday since I was super busy! I have to work for the next two nights so I should be good to go for at least the next three days. :p
I had a girly day for me yesterday. :) I was going to just go get my eyebrows done, hair trimmed, and highlights done with possibility of getting my nails done, but I ended up getting my hair cut AND colored! I went silver! It actually looks more like light blond with silver highlights though. I have to go back next week and have more toner added to darken it and make it more gray. Its interesting to say the least!!

Glad your diet is going well greeneyes and you were able to have a girly day!
My OPKs were weird this month. Hopefully next month they'll be more helpful since we'll be making an attempt.
I'm glad to report that I've lost a total of 4 lbs so far! I didn't think I had much to lose, so I'm happy with this small progress. I have trouble keeping my protein low, but thankfully it doesn't seem to be affecting my weight loss.
Probably another salad for dinner tonight, lol! Have a good day everybody!

I have lost a total of 7 pounds so far, although I recently purchased a personalized sway plan from Atomic and awaiting that... Should get it this week! *Yay* Hoping that will help me drop even more weight. I've never been a breakfast eater, so that's a win for me! :) Fortunately, I don't struggle getting hungry early in the day as I'm already in such a habit of not eating until lunch anyway. I've been eating two meals a day for many years. Hoping that helps in my favor ;) I already take a baby aspirin daily for heart health (Cardiac patient) and Zyrtec antihistamine daily as well for my wicked allergies. Hoping those help as well! :D I've monitored my ph somewhat and always seems to come out on the acidic side, although that was before I changed up my diet. Admittedly, I didn't have the most healthy of eating habits. :/ I love bread, dairy, and salt... Oof * face palm * :( Buuuutttt, I've worked really hard in the past weeks to curb the sodium intake (I should anyway for my heart) and have tried to make healthier decisions overall. Less meat by far, no red meat in weeks and only small portions of chicken. Still loving on some bread, but I've cut that down significantly as well. I actually have been making my own homemade low sodium bread. :) I limit to one slice at time if I'm absolutely needing it. The dairy thing, weelllllll, still struggling with that. I've always been a huge milk drinker and yogurt lover. It was a regular part of my daily routine almost to inatke dairy in some form or fashion... & OMG CHEESE! O.O So yeh, curious to see what Atomic has in store for me in my sway plan this week. :) I know I'll have to change some things up, but on a good start in the right direction I think for sure... Glad to be following with some other ladies in the same boat. <3

I'm about five days away from starting my new cycle. Turns out I did ovulate with the vitex (boohiss), but I have about a six day cut off from the last time we DTD so not counting on a BFP this mo. Not even counting on testing, lol.
I'm still managing to do okay with my diet. I was sick for a few days so that helped. ;) Anyone else fantasize about what they will start eating again when they get their BFP? LOL I can't WAIT to be off this diet!! Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Cheese covered pretzels, foofoo coffees... Mmmmmm. So much yummy naughtiness!!

Is anyone an OPK expert? Do we try the one attempt at the first +OPK if we have more than one? I really want this cycle to count so I'm trying not to screw up our timing.

CD2 today!! Some bad news though. :( DH has gotten cold feet about TTC. I know he will come around, but the thought of keeping this up until he changes his mind is frustrating! He will most likely change his mind like just before O too, so I will have to be prepared! So, I'm going to keep at it like we will be planning on TTC (like we were) and when he changes his mind just before O, my sway will still be good. Ugh. Planning anything like this out in advance just stresses him OUT! He just can't deal with it. :worry:

My AF showed up today so it looks like I'll be TTC in February as well! :worry:
So far my sway has been vegetarian LE diet since November, LE since September, I exercised an hour every day in December to our first attempt in January. I was taking baby aspirin 3x per week but started bruising so I cut that back to 2x per week. Folic acid every day. Peppermint tea, three cups per day from AF-O. Rephresh every three days from AF-O. Centrizine every day from AF-O, Benadryl the night of attempt. One attempt at Positive OPK. I also lost about 27 lbs from August until now and still losing. My husband is on LR 3x per day from AF-O, briefs from AF-O and frequent release from AF-O.
It was a strict sway and I screwed up my LE diet and stopped exercising due to all kinds of stress during the 2WW. I've been eating vegetarian the whole time though so I just have to get back to skipping breakfasts and snacks. I figure I should just stop exercising, it was adding too much stress to my sway to attempt to fit in an entire hour every single day. I think I'll just use the one tube of Rephresh I have left after my period ends and call that good for this month.
Debating about doing multiple attempts or dropping something else this month. I kinda wanna get pregnant in a hurry, because it was SUPER depressing to see all those BFN's this month. :SS:

January 28th, 2014, 09:47 PM
Wow I thought the Zyrtec was just 6-12 hours before O. Maybe you could drop the Benadryl? I was brushing from the le diet and the high doses of folic acid really helped to put an end to that for me! Good luck! We're close in our cycle! :)

Hi ladies. I'll be ttc next month as well. I'm on Cd 22/8 dpo and waiting for af at the beginning of next month.
So far I've been on le vegitarian style since December 29 and have lost 8 lbs. I'm over weight (5'2" and 132 lbs). So I'm really nervous about ttc next month since I still have a lot of weight to lose. But I've been staying within my limits very well. So what do you girls think? Should I hold out? Or do you think this is enough to sway regardless since I'm eating no meat and le?
Also, I'm taking 1600 mg folic acid, fiber, asprin 2x per week (was taking 3x times per week but had a random nose bleed for no apparent reason so I got scared), saw palmetto, vitex (for six weeks). What I will be adding next month is zyrtec and maybe Benadryl if need be. Also I plan on using replens since that's what I have and if I don't get bfp I'll switch to rephresh when the replens run out. I will also use opks for the first time next month and I'm actually pretty nervous about this. I want one attempt at +opk but fear I won't know what I'm doing! Should I add our eliminate anything?
Dh will also be taking asprin and licorice root af-o. Any thoughts on this ladies? Thank you
dreamingofwin
January 29th, 2014, 03:41 AM
I was told not to bother with rephresh from atomic as ys not getting great results with it and just makes it harder to get pg so its out for me. I am only taking fibre if my meal has a lot of fat content and will start aspirin and antihystamines at cd1. Hubby can't take LR so will be just drinking peppermint tea a d abstaining. Vitex gave me loads of ewcm.
I had lost 9lbs since I started le in Jan but its slowed now due to no exercise.
I am getting v v worried now as I've not exercised, it'll be ny 3rd day off today...i did it constant for 3 weeks. i am still too poorly add weak though wondering if it ruining my changes when I ov in about 3 weeks???? X

I had a similar issue over Christmas when I got sick but AS told me to rest and get back on the horse when I could I was able to take a week off and get right back to it until our first attempt in January. Unfortunately I haven't exercised since.
I think doing that entire hour every single day just got really frustrating trying to fit it in. That's why I've dropped it for this month, still waiting to hear back from AS if 30 minutes a couple days a week would still be okay or if that would sway boy too much.

Coming to join you ladies! I’m thinking this is the cycle we finally TTC. Yay! AF showed up late last night, so I guess I’m at CD1 today. I’ve been on a low cal (weight loss) diet for about 12 months, LE for about 8 months. I had a meltdown over the holidays – too long on the LE diet and too many nice goodies around. Atomic said take a break, so I did. But I jumped back on in January and also have added exercise in better in the last few weeks. Hoping it’s enough! Exercise has been the hardest for me to find time for. I’m trying to do at least 45 mins of cardio most days… some days I get the whole hour and others I get none. And it totally stopped my weight loss. :/ I’ve lost 20 lbs overall since last year, but very little in the last few weeks. Trying to drop a few more pounds before TTC if I can. I’ve been doing Vitex since October and am actually kinda loving it for how it’s calmed my hormones and shortened my periods. This cycle I’m dropping it in favor of Clomid, though. Eek – just a couple more days until I take my first dose! (scanning all the Clomid threads one last time today…) Excited and nervous as I know staying on it for very long is not a good idea. This is it!
And, greeneyes – getting my dh on board has been by far the hardest thing. He is terrible at making decisions, so this has been way too big for him to deal with. He’s still not “Yay, let’s sway!” But he’s more like, “Yeah, I’m to opposed to having a little girl some day.” So, I’m taking that as a let’s go for it. :) It’s as close as I’m going to get from my non-committal guy. Just hoping he doesn’t chicken out at the last minute.

We are about to try one more time! It has been an 18 month journey for us, as my husband had a vasectomy reversal in June 2012, and after months of a LE Diego and daily exercise for an hour, we discovered he had low testosterone after the surgery. He had been on a heavy dose of vitamins for seven months and clomid for three, hoping to increase the testosterone, and thereby his swimmers. My time available to exercise has been so much less this year, and my diet has been harder to follow, but I'm still trying. Given a sporadic period over the last six months and a desire yo have all the stars in alignment, I am also going to try clomid this cycle and see how it goes. If it doesn't work this time, I am kind of thinking the work to increase my DH's sperm count was unsuccessful. Hmmm. I am crossing my fingers. Oh, and my period started today...

Today was my last clomid. The only side effect I've noticed is constipation but then I should be doing the fiber supp anyway. So I started those back up today. I started the rephresh last night too. Things are getting close! :o I'll start testing with OPKs on cd 12 unless I see ewcm before then.
Oh and things have been rough at work. Very stressful. I called in sick for a "mental health day" to destress a bit!

I love the mental health day, greeneyes! Great idea. I've been dealing with work stress, too, but trying to block it out. Can we just take a TTC month off?
Did my first day of Clomid yesterday! Talk about feeling stress. Lol! After months of planning I had the big "ohmigod this is it!" moment. I swear I almost chickened out and waited until next month. But I'm not sure I can keep exercising every day for another month. So, I'm in! If all goes well, we *may* even conceive around Valentine's Day, depending on what Clomid does to my cycle. Which should help put dh in the mood. ;)

I *think* I should ovulate sometime this weekend or early next week. I have to work Sa/Sun nights so I think we might try to do an attempt Thursday night just incase I get my +OPK over the weekend when we wont be able to attempt. Then maybe another attempt Monday (which is when we will celebrate my belated b-day), or wait for +opk? I will have to also work W/Th nights of next week I think...
Yeah, I so had to take mental health days. It was so stressful at work I was getting nightmares. I needed a break from it all. Its better again now, but with all this snow we've been getting its been making us short staffed and work has been extra difficult when we are fully staffed. :( I'm ready for the snow to stop already!

Thanks, me too! I got about 1/2 what I should have - 2 1/2 doses instead of 5. So... crossing my fingers it does *some* good. Depending on how things go in the next few days, I may also add some light sway stuff like antihistamines just to help the 1/2 does along. :) I could try femera, but from atomic's input, she wasn't sure it would help much in my situation. Sigh. It might be back to the Vitex for me. I actually felt great on that stuff... I may go back to using it just to help my PMS symptoms when this is all over. But not sure if it sways that hard.

I actually very confident of my temps. I work nights and switch back and forth and am able to temp any time of day. Even if it was off I wouldn't think it would be THIS high... I finally got a pos opk this afternoon. I made sure to only dip it for 3 seconds. Before I left it in until it got to the part I could see it going up. Maybe I diluted it by leaving it in too long...

I am TTC in February!
I originally was going to sway pretty hard but we are now going to try in like, 2 weeks. I just started swaying a little 2 weeks ago so it is just a short, quick sway. I should O sometime around Feb. 19. I also have no weight to lose (I am 5 ft. 2, 100 lbs).
Basically all I am doing is skipping breakfast (most days) and drinking a coffee with some creamer and fake sugar until lunch. Lunch is usually a Yoplait light yogurt, some pasta of some kind, strawberries, and some kind of sweet or chips. I also have been drinking Diet Snapple Raspberry Tea (no calories and has aspartame in it). I am limiting meat. No exercise (which is hard for me as I am used to training for marathons). I have been taking 1600 mcg folic acid, fibre 3 X a day, drinking some peppermint tea, and trying to "let things go" and be more carefree about stuff. I am planning on 1 attempt at +OPK with Zyrtec.
I have never temp'd, so not going to start now! That would stress me out anyway, plus I usually sleep terribly, so probably would not work for me. I am SURE I am one of those women primed for making boys because I always have ample EWCM when not on BCP and even conceived a boy ON BCP with no EWCM. For generations, my family on my mom's side has one of the other. My grandma has 7 sisters, she had all girls, my mom had all girls. All of her siblings had one or the other. Not sure if family history means anything but it seems crazy to think how frequent this has happened in my family.
Nice to meet you all!

I think my body is just used to the flipping and frequent waking during sleep. When I worked day shift and when I wasn't BFing, it was a different story. Like I couldn't temp after the sun came up or it would be falsely elevated. (weird I know)
We were going to do one attempt at pos OPK, but then I had to work nights this weekend and there is NO attempts when I have to work, so I made the plan to attempt thursday, then again monday if no pos OPK over the weekend here, and if still NO pos OPK by V-day, then attempt V-day for an attempt every four days. I'm glad I went with that attempt cause I'm convinced I screwed up the OPKs and I most likely ovulated yesterday and washed the OPKS out with too much pee. :(

I've started OPK's, my sway is waaaaaay looser this month, no exercise, LE diet but I've had some stomach issues so my calorie intake has fluctuated, hoping that just eating vegetarian will be enough. Still losing though, and drinking alcohol every night with folic acid daily and baby aspirin 2x a week. I've had about a cup of peppermint tea every day. My husband is doing the LR, FR and briefs. Arimethia: yes!! And also see faint lines that aren't there.... I had 2 very faint lines on Monday and Tuesday this week, then nothing, then yesterday the test was negative but was a darker line than before. So fingers crossed today is the day. We have been holding off BD because I had expected a positive by now so we haven't BD since last Sunday. Will have to tonight regardless as I didn't really want to do more than 7 day abstain due to being 35 but it is what it is. We only really have time and energy for it at the weekend.
I have a spa day today for a friends birthday so am hoping the massage will tempt the egg out. Also ate 3000 calories and 100g fat yesterday with meat, brownies, everything involved. It was at a friends who wa cooking so I wasn't holding back :))) getting to the spa now to spend time in the gym beforehand to work off some of that food!! And we are having roast beef today......oh well

Another question I am unsure of the answer to!! I don't get the abstaining stuff. I want to do 1 attempt at my +OPK. How long should we abstain before it? DH is 27 so...

Argh another faint line!!!! It's been 7 days so I guess we should BD anyway....
He abstain stuff I think is to lower sperm count and quality slightly? And I think so that you have less exposure to the hormones in semen? When over 35 there is more chance of birth defects so that's why it isn't recommended. I may not be 100% right though so someone pls correct me if I'm wrong?

16901 I am having the worst time deciphering my OPKs this month, this is today's, CD14, is the test line as dark as the control line? According to the minimal instructions a test line that's fainter than the control is negative and I've been testing since Thursday and the all look like this. I don't want to miss our window! My cervical fluid is milky but stretchy like halfway between semi fertile and fertile, seems like a positive OPK should've shown up by now if I'm on my typical 30 day cycle.

I just got my first BFN :( first try but its still disappointing! Good news I will be on LE diet a little longer...
I have a question for you all too I am 35 my husband 41 we only DTD at pos opk last month.
Because of our age should we be DTD every four days and then once on pos opk...?
Also what is chitoban?? should I take this instead of zyrtek as I get alot of CM.
thanks for all you help much appreciated xx
greeneyes
February 11th, 2014, 04:19 AM
Chitoban is a fiber supp I believe. You take the fiber sups with/after heavy meals or cheats. If you get a lot of CM I would personally stick with Zyrtec 6-8 hours before attempt. Maybe try lying flat for 5 min afterwards then j&d? I was supposed to do 1 attempt at pos opk but last min changed it to every four days since I knew I had to work and that lovin' would NOT happen if I had a pos opk during my stretch of nights on. (I work 12 hour night shifts and try to work them in a row to get them out of the way). Turns out I was right and got a pos opk over the weekend. We made another attempt last night just in case there was a sad I fertilized egg waiting for a little sperm to make her night lol.

@TeacherMom - Abstaining is 7-10 days... and that doesn't just include you saying no to DH. It also included HIM abstaining, as in not helping himself either. ;) I purchased a personalized sway from Atomic (worth every penny and I highly recommend) and abstaining OR FR option seems to be a pretty important factor in a girl sway. Just FYI. Also, welcome to the group... you and I should be O-ing round about the same day if I read that right. :D I'm estimated the 19th based on my "usual" schedule. It will be the first time DH and I have EVER TTC. I'm nervous and excited all in one. :holysheep:
@KitKat - Chitosan is a fiber supplement and should be taken about 30 mins BEFORE fatty meals, as opposed to during or with because it had stuff in it that binds to the lipids and fats in your food to help carry them out and/or prevent fat storage, as well as the enzymes that help break down the lipids. Therefore, it needs to have an opportunity to get in your stomach before the food hits if that makes sense. At least that's what I found in my reading/research. I personally favor it to other fiber supps like Benefiber b/c it is little pills I can take instead of having to mix up in a powdery drink or something. Plus, based on what I read it works a bit better and every little bit helps right? :) Again, highly recommend Atomic's personalized sway if you don't already have one. Just my $0.02
Good Luck to all the ladies who've already DTD or those upcoming. Approx a week out today for me from BD! :pinksperm::fx::pray::XX::fingers::cheer:

Welcome, Kitkat! I’m in the same boat as far as age goes... I’m 37 (gah – how did that happen?!) and my dh just turned 45. I bought the custom sway plan, and, as seamaiden said, it’s worth every penny! I highly recommend. Atomic’s suggestion for me (and this may not be right for everyone!) was to have dh release for 7-10 days before dtd... not abstain as we’re a bit older. Not sure if he’s up for that (ha! Total pun intended!), but we’ll do our best. And we’re going with 1 attempt at +opk this cycle. Picture me totally trying NOT to obsess over testing... and testing... and testing...
Oh, and btw, my dh thinks all of this is silly, too. The absolute hardest part of my sway has been getting him on board with even trying for another baby, let alone the whole “silly sway” stuff. Even now he’s in the “well, if it happens it happens and I’ll be okay with it” camp, rather than being an active participant. Hey, I’ll take it! :) He’s a fab guy and an amazing dad, so I’m sure he’s going to be thrilled when we get the BFP. Fingers crossed for it this month!
I started to see some EWCM today. I know that +opk is coming soon... getting excited! And have my zyrtec ready! (And we have our first date night since DS #3 was born scheduled for this Thurs. Yay! The up side to the LE diet is that I look amazing in the little black dress I have picked out. Lol!)

All i have had for over a week now is faint lines, and they take a while to even show up. I often wonder if i have spent enough time in the loo waiting for the result to come! It says wait 10 mins on the packet but if you are going to get a positive would it really take 10 mins? I know that we always have LH anyway so people will get faint lines but its getting really annoying now. I am still getting some EWCM (not lots) on and off (have been for over 2 weeks) but nothing more than a faint line on an OPK. Really trying to ensure we BD every 4 days regardless just in case. I have lost 7.5 pounds in 6 weeks I don't have alot more to lose as I know I stop ovulating at 110 pounds and I am down to 120...getting the hang of no breakfast (never thought I would say that!!) but upping my calories a little so I dont lose all my weight too fast.
Quick question for you all. Do you all have a cut off point for swaying? Like 6 mths, 3 mths etc etc I feel I ought to give myself one as otherwise being a boy mama I could be here one year down the track and I am no spring chicken...
good luck with all your BFP's!!

When I started swaying, there was no question in my mind that it wouldn't work out according to plan! Ah, over-confidence, if never gets me anywhere! I lost about 15 pounds, was exercising every day for a hour and was eating according to the LE duet pretty strictly. I did that for about two months before we tried to conceive, and two months later, nothing but bfns. I kept trying to exercise, but began to realize the food obsession was making me miserable and really messing with my idea of food. When we discovered that my husband had low sperm count, he did three months of vitamins, and I backed off swaying because I couldn't maintain, not knowing if it would even happen. Then three more months of clomid for him because then we found out that his T levels were low. I've never faltered on my folic acid, but I didn't have the mental stamina to keep swaying so hard when I don't even know if it is feasible. I don't want to go any high tech route, so if all of his vitamin and hormone taking hasn't helped, I think I am prepared to throw in the towel after this round. Our ages worry me a little--more that I am just a bit tired than anything. The cut off my husband gave me 18 months ago was two years... He is right.
How long have you been trying? Have you had a lot of disappointment so far, or are you being practical, knowing it might take a while?

I am 33 in a few weeks so time isn't on my side either so don't want to be ttc for years! We were v lucky with our son and conceived 6 weeks after coming off bcp. I think in my head we will try rephresh this month and if a bfn we won't use it again. Im dropping exercise already as ill just keep re injuring my back as its a weak spot. I think we'll try the one attempt for 3 months max then prob end up bday daily after that. My son is 2 now and he needs a sibling boy or girl not too far away in age. Id hope id keep elements of the diet but I do miss my fatty foods at times.
My weight loss has stopped at the moment too but I am 128lbs but still have lots I could loose as I am only 5ft 2!!
Hope we get our bfp soon and that we are blessed with our girlies xxxxx

I started off swaying HARD as well but it only takes on bfn to take the wind out of my sails. I stopped exercise and I'm doing a LE vegetarian diet with tons of cheats. Really, I think I'll be happy to get pregnant with our one attempt at positive OPK.

Good luck, Arimethia!!
I’ve lost about 25 lbs since last January. I started out just on a low cal diet to lose the weight from ds #2 and #3, but it segued into the LE diet around March or April. So, it hasn’t been a fast weight loss for me, but I’ve lost probably 5 of that in the last two weeks, so I’m feeling hopeful it’s enough. I’m exercising like a fiend over here, and eating rice like it’s going out of style. Dh said I’m like a Survivor contestant lately.
I got the +OPK today! :D SUCH perfect timing since we’ve go our big romantic V-day dinner out planned. God bless her, our babysitter told me this morning to stay out as long as we want since she plans to sleep over in town tonight anyway. Yay! The only thing that could derail us is that we have 2 kids home sick from school today... pray they don’t need to vomit or anything interruption-like later tonight. Oh, and that dh doesn’t chicken out at the last minute. :ttc:
This is our first month TTC, so I haven’t put a time limit on it for myself. Yet. I’m 37, so this feels like my last chance at a dd, but I’m willing to give it a go for a few months if needed. A year from now... well, I might change my mind. Of course, I’m hoping tonight’s the night, but I’m already prepared to change up tactic for next month if it doesn’t happen.

I haven't lost any weight, if that makes anyone feel any better LOL! But my BMI is pretty much the lowest it can be to be "normal" (18.5 or so) so I have just did other things recommended for swaying. I am 29, DH is 27, so if this one is a little guy there is always next time! I will be fine with having another boy because then my son will have a buddy...a girl would be nice too because I am a girly person so I will have a girl in the house. I just want to get pregnant though...this will be our 3rd month TTC...past couple months I was not doing OPKs or tracking anything so I was probably missing the O window (hopefully). I also started taking saw palmetto this cycle on a whim...is there a way to tell if it is doing anything or not? I am thinking no but wanted to see if anyone has experience with it. I think I will get a +OPK Tuesday or so. I hope.

I'm in the tww and sticking to just folic acid. I'll start prenatals if and when I get a bfp. prenatals sway blue and if it's not my mo I don't want to screw it up by taking a ton of vitamins.

Hey guys,
Wow so many BD's at valentines day baby conceptions fingers crossed XXX
I have had just the one BFN and I was down for about a day:( I think because I conceived my boys the first time we tried both times though being 28 and 30 I was that much younger! Arimethia I hear you it only takes one BFN to take the wind out of your sails and start doubting being able to get pregnant at all!
I feel perhaps I can go on the LE diet, one attempt, using zyrtec, no o, jump and dump for another three months max then maybe drop a few things to just get pregnant! I never have done the excersize and I am eating some meat within the limits but still! so already cheating on these things.
So great being able to talk it over with you guys I have not told a soul I am doing this my husband does not believe in it and I think a lot of people would judge me especially if I end up with another boy!
Quick question for those that brought the customised plan.... nuthin but pink said it would deft. say 'dream baby' on your credit card statement did it have any other details? Paranoid! But I figured I could white lie and tell my husband I was buying ovulation monitor or something like that....

All mine said was dream baby. I used my personal checking account. We have a joint account and I have a personal one as well. The personal account I pay all the bills out of, the joint is money left over for dh to spend as needed lol. It's sort of like his "allowance" even though he has his own checking account that his va disability goes into and uses that usually.

I appreciate this site so much--I can't talk about the desire for a girl elsewhere, because it feels like it would diminish my love for my two beautiful boys, but boy, I sure want a girl, as well. You all understand, and I am grateful to all of you for that. Fortunately, my DH does get it--a couple years ago, when we first started talking about another baby, he said, "why would I want more kids? I've got two boys!" And then he realized what he had said. I hope, if your husband foes realize what the sway plan is for, kitkat, that he can embrace the reasons you want to at least try.

Hi ladies... I have been off for quite a while so a lot of new names... I had a tubal reversal in September and been trying ever since... Kinda doing the diet but not exercising like I'm supposed to... This month is cycle #5... Dr wanted me to have an HSG test done to see if my tubes were still open... But we opted to try clomid a few months before we do the test... I am cd16 and had an ultrasound yesterday and it showed I have numerous follicles consistent with PCOS (which we. Knew I had) so he ran labs to check on my hormone levels, sugar, and a1C levels... I go back to the dr on cd3 for another ultrasound and hopefully wil start clomid that day too! Still hoping and praying for a girl but at this point it is what it is lol... DH still desperately wants a girl but he says he will be ok with another boy... Oh I have 2 boys already one 5 and one 3 on march 3.... So anyway good luck to everyone and I'll try to check in more often lol

Have 5 sons (ages 18, 11, 8, 5 and 1) and a daughter (age 3)hoping to give my girl a sister as she has started acting left out and literally attacks every little girl we come across with affection and admiration. I constantly hear her playing in her room with make believe 'sisters'. I'd like her to know I gave it my best shot!! I also had 5 brothers and constantly harassed my poor mom for a sister :-)

You've expressed my sentiments, precisely! I couldn't love my boys any more than I do, but there is a bond between so many mothers and daughters that I truly crave. I am anxious about what going through it all will be like (sleep deprivation and all!) but I secretly would be thrilled with twin girls! My one worry about another baby now is the age difference.... My boys are 6 1/2 and 5. That's a lot, and I worry about a baby being lonely as she/he grows up. Do any of you gave experience with age differences like that?

I've also just gotten my coil out which some say can mean twins in first few cycles though I'm not sure thats true, and the taller you are so at 6ft that gives me another chance too! Yikes!
Hi to the newcomers :-)
Haha, I have breastfeeding in my corner, age, number of pregnancies, I think my last pregnancy started as a twin pregnancy, clomid, I did vitex last cycle, family (personal) history of being a twin... lol If there is more then on in there, it better NOT be more then two! Dh was finally able to pull the trigger last night, so to speak. Yay! So glad as I was starting to worry this cycle was going to be a bust. Of course, I’m not thrilled with all the worrying – what a slippery slope! I worry, then worry more than I’m worrying too much, then worry about how to worry less... gah! It seems the more I try to chill and be the zen girl-mom, the more I obsess and worry. Anyway, at least I’m in the 2ww! We’re going out of town this week, which I hope help take my mind off of it. Other than that, I’m just going to continue the diet and exercise and still shoot for next cycle. Fingers crossed for all of us!

Out of five kids, I have had two with dairy allergies (the two I has with current dh). The one who is still nursing had soy, legume, dairy, pork, corn, wheat, tomato, strawberry, carrot, and we cut need out too cause of how close the protein is to dairy. He too was very colicky, has failure to thrive, had a tube feed at night with special formula but refused to give up the breast. He still nurses and I'm pretty sure I'm dry!! LOL

Trust me, not all babies are that hard! :) My oldest was about average, ds #2 So freaking hard – not a sleeper, super tantrum-ish, super energetic – but ds #3 has been Mr. Mellow. Such an easy baby! So, they do exist and even those of us blessed with more challenging babies can get an easy one. (And ds#3 is my one with dairy sensitivities...even with that, he’s been so easy compared to ds #1 & #2.)

ltester and mamer I am in the same boat as well with a 6 and 4 yr old. I too worry about them being left out etc etc but I see other positives undivided parents attention and two very cool older brothers!
Excited to get my sway plan!!

Morning!
Welcome Mrs incredible. Sorry about you're mc.
Looks like a near positive teacher!
So do you think this is my temp rise. I slept rubbish. I woke at 330am. Did my temp and it was 36.2 (under 36.3 is my normal pre ov temp) I then took it at 730am and it was 36.4 which would be a post ov temp. Do you think its poss I ov'd between those hrs or its an off temp ? X

Hi there! Just wanted to let you know that I've known loads of families where the children have large age gaps but are extremely close. I've also seen the opposite happen. The main difference I think is encouraging the close relationship by involving the older children in everything...pregnancy, scans, dressing, changing, bathing, etc.... Do everything you can to encourage the closeness! My first 2 are 7 years apart and have their moments, that's for sure, but I think that's true of any age gap :-)

[QUOTE=girliedreamz;531772]Welcome Bayoudancer and Sisterplease! (And, might I just say I am in total awe of you having 6 kids already, sisterplease! Ohmigod, I had to think long and hard about trying for #4 just thinking how overwhelming that would be. You , go, mama!)
Haha!! To be honest, going from 3 to 4 was the scariest transition. I found 3 children HARD work, and kind of fell pregnant 'accidentally' with number 4 and worried and stressed the whole time about how I would cope. But it went from the scariest to the easiest transition ever!! He just fit right into place, and I was more confident then I'd ever been. 5 and 6 followed in the same way. I've heard from several people that 2 to 3 was the hardest transition but 3 to 4 was the easiest. You'll be fine!!!! Hope you have a successful month :-)

I am in awe at anyone having more than one child Haha!! I am terrified! My son was/isn't an easy baby though. He was reflux and allergic to diary (still is) top to toe skin shredded from it and left with bad excema. Worst was the crying and no sleep though. He screamed day and night sleeping approx 3/4 hrs out of 24 for months until he was diagnosed. He's been in hospital more times in this last 2 years than id like to remember too. He a little tantrum pants now but so loving nd I wouldn't change him. He's only just started sleeping through the night but still wakes a few times a week.
God we must be mad ttc again Haha!! So im terrified! Hats off to you mama's of lots of kids x
Aww, I also know the horror of awful eczema! Son number 3 had it so bad he'd wake up with bloody sheets some mornings. Combine that with asthma, and the all night coughing episodes, and it was a traumatising first year. My daughter had a dairy allergy and had bloody diapers/nappies in her first year before we realised what the problem was. All awful stuff! Sorry your poor little boy has had to go through all that, hope he grows out of it soon!!!

Not sure dreaming, I don't temp because I sleep so badly most nights.
OK so I think I have a +OPK. Question though: I was going to take Zrytec morning of attempt but I have no EWCM, so would taking Zrytec hurt me? I know you need some EWCM to conceive. I am thinking of leaving it out, but wondering what everyone's opinions were...

Oh no, greeneyes!! That stinks. :/ But, if it was a bad month with cheats anyway, maybe March or April are going to be the magic month for you. I honestly expect a bfn this month, as it’s only my first month trying, so I will likely be joining in the March thread soon, too. (In fact, I’m kind of looking for a bfn, as having had 1 go at it, I now know what I’d do differently next month! I really don’t think I did enough for a hard sway this time around. Eek.)
TeacherMom, I’d leave out the zyrtec, too. If you’re not seeing much, there isn’t much to dry up, right?

I ended up taking the Zrytec because I randomly stood up and (TMI) a gush of EWCM came out lol. However, we BD'd like 3 hours after I took it and I know it was supposed to take 6 hours for it to kick in but there was not really another time we would have been able to BD that day. So hopefully that did not ruin anything. Since I don't do BBT or anything, how will I know when to stop taking Zyrtec? I think we can take it until O but how do I know when that is? Hhmm...

Thanks for all of your thoughts on age differences. You've made me feel better!
Like you, teachermom, I have not been able to temp because I sleep so irregularly. I tried for six months, and had wild variations. I'll just have to wait out the full two weeks to see! I have felt so many psychosomatic symptoms over the last year or more of trying that I tend to doubt anything I am feeling could be truly as a result of bfp, but what do the rest of you recall? Did you feel something so early along as those first two weeks?
Green eyes, I am sorry to hear about your spotting. If it is indeed AF, I hope the next month makes you feel better about how you sway. Good luck!

I was on BCP with my first so I feel like my symptoms were LEGIT lol because I wasn't searching for symptoms or expecting symptoms since we were not trying to have a baby obviously. I remember a couple days before I was supposed to start AF (so about 12 DPO) I sat down on the floor with my legs crossed (I worked with babies then) and felt more bloated than usual. It was weird. But only in the lower stomach area. No other symptoms that were BAM noticeable you know? Like you know the feeling you have when you have gas pains? Like that only with bloat is how I felt. Then I got full out morning sickness starting at 6 weeks throughout the whole pregnancy. Thank goodness for Zofran.
I don't think I believe in implantation bleeding either but I do remember wiping once around 7 DPO or something and I had the tiniest little bit of blood, like so tiny it was shocking I even saw it. Thought nothing of it obviously because I was on BCP.

hi dreaming - I personally dont have the stamina for daily BD so I am sticking to the one attempt. Although this past week we have BD every 3 days rather than every 4 as thats just the way its worked out. I was supposed to do every 4 days but not going to worry about it.
Yesterday my OPK was still negative but it was the darkest line so far, so fingers crossed today is the day of a positive OPK and we BD last night so thats our attempt :)

Mrs_ Incredible!!! How I've missed you but hunny I'm so sorry about your mc I had NO idea!!! Someone mentioned about age difference... My oldest baby brother and I are 7 years apart ( he's fixing to be 20) and we are SUPER close... When growing up there were periods when I hated him lol but the older we get the closer we become... My youngest brother and I are 7 years apart (he is 17) and the older he gets the closer we become too... Now the 3 of us are practically inseparable when we r together (Brother who is 20 is in USMC and stationed in another state)...
Dr wants to do a test to check if my tubes are still open but it will cost ~$2000 plus so we opted to try clomid first... I know I know if they are closed will do no good but we wanted to exhaust all our options before the test... I didn't want to have it because if they r closed then well have wasted money and then have to do IVF but then dr said even if we chose to do IVF we'd still have to do the test... Sigh... So clomid it is hopefully!!

I'm on CD21 and I'm planning to hold off on testing until March 1st if AF doesn't show up. Last month's 2ww was super stressful so I'm trying not to care too much.
This weekend I got a chance to talk to our cousins about how they concieved their daughter after two boys. They said they BD everyday with a 3-4 day cutoff before ovulation and then once after ovulation, plus just really visualizing their desired gender. Maybe that will help someone here. If I'm not pregnant this month I figure we might try things that way next month. Especially if I confirm my cycles are consistently 30 days at that point.
So far we are just doing the one attempt at +OPK.
In regards to sibling spacing my little brother and I are more than 6.5 years apart, there are pros and cons. He and I aren't really close because our personalities are so different but I remember babysitting him a lot growing up so the age gap could be a huge plus for you if it's on the longer side!

Hi Arimethia - thank you for sharing this. I do recall atomic warning against positive visualisation for pink as it may raise testosterone. It depends on whether you are worried about/trying to reduce testosterone for your sway. I often find myself doing it and daydreaming about getting PG, having a DD then think oh crap I've raised testosterone again lol.
I still haven't had a pos OPK, getting pretty fed up now. I had the darkest line so far on Sunday (but stil neg) so we BD. Had no cm and negative faint lines yesterday and today. Ended up going for lunch with a colleague and had a pizza then a bar of chocolate back at my desk oops. Now have ewcm again.....

February 18th, 2014, 01:29 PM
I really, really, really, and did I mention REALLY don't want any pink swayer doing visualization for TTC a daughter. The more you keep your "goal" in your mind and stay focused on it, it sends T levels (or whatever it is that is swaying via the Maternal Dominance Hypothesis) skyrocketing and I believe makes you significantly more likely to conceive a boy.
This is totally different than thinking about or daydreaming about having a DD and I also DON'T want you guys panicking over errant thoughts and trying to control them
IT IS NOT YOUR THOUGHTS, MOODS, FEELINGS THAT SWAY. IT IS THE ATTEMPT TO AND DESIRE TO CONTROL. Whether that entails a concerted effort to "visualize" a DD, or a concerted effort to control your thoughts so as to "not raise T levels" the net result is the same.

O pains can happen before, during and after O and can be relieved before, during and after O and you just can't use them to pinpoint when you have ovulated.
If you didn't attempt, by all means have an attempt.
atomic sagebrush
February 18th, 2014, 01:36 PM
Arimathea or anyone reading this thread, I BEG you upon bended knee NOT to add attempts. There are some people who got girls from BD every day through O (because their husband's sperm was so depleted by the time ovulation occured) and those who had several attempts with long cutoffs (because most sperm had died off by the time O happened) but neither way is the BEST way.
One attempt has gotten by far, by a whopping 30% percentage points, better results than three attempts. So if your husband is one of the many guys out there who can withstand daily release or if as more often happens, something goes wrong and you miss a day of release here and there, you set yourself up for more than one attempt in the fertile window. And with the cutoff method, if you miscalculate ovulation or swaying changes your ovulation date (which happens ALL the time), and you O a couple days earlier than you expect, you have just had 3 attempts in your fertile window which drastically raises your odds for blue. DON'T RISK IT.
I know it may feel counterintuitive but it is TOTALLY possible to get pregnant from one attempt provided that you are not doing a bunch of other things to sway. One attempt has gotten consistently better results by 20-30% points than most other sway tactics so again I BEG you to keep that one attempt in there as long as you can, even while dropping all other tactics except diet.

February 18th, 2014, 02:25 PM
Atomic thanks so much - that's really comforting to read because I knew a long long time ago that I CANNOT control my thoughts and it's best to just let it happen, and then move on. I did worry a little about the daydreaming but knew I couldn't do anything just tried to stop it but now I won't. I haven't visualised anything since reading that it raises T levels.
Interestingly when TTC my DS (and not swaying) we did pray for a healthy baby but we also visualised getting PG too.

Well, according to 30Rock, all you need to do to conceive a girl is have your husband shout "SUSAN B. ANTHONY" at the moment of climax.
All kidding aside I may just do diet and one attempt next month too but I was concerned that I had several days of positive OPKs so we did our one attempt on the first day but I had positives for two days after that. Makes me wonder if I'm missing the drop so to speak.

OH NO!! LOL Atomic popped in on our thread! LMOA I almost feel like I got caught doing something naughty! LOL J/K. ;)
Spotting has stopped today. Thats nothing really new, sometimes that happens before AF. I spot and spot and spot, then it stops, then AF shows. I'm trying to remain positive about this cycle without blowing a ton of sunshine and rainbows up my arse, but sometimes its hard to do. I did take a test today, just to pee on something and as the dye was running up the stick, the test line was positive, then went negative as the dye finished going up past the control line. Not sure what to think of that. I'll test in the morning though, so at least I wont have to wonder about it long! LOL
So, I lost track... Who's on the TWW now?

Boy, greeneyes, that sounds promising. I wouldn't be down yet...
I am in the 2ww, I think four days in, if my O indications were accurate. I am doubtful that any of the early symptoms one might feel are actually real, so checking into that thread just makes me overthink things. I am trying to jus carry on with regular life without thinking about it for now. I am not even going to test unless/until I am at least two days late, because the disappointment of bfn is just too great each time.
Thanks to all of you with your age difference stories. If this does indeed work out, I feel much better about the situation we are in. Man, I hope it works this time! I am only 1 DPO if I estimate when my O was correctly. So I have awhile to test. Work the next two weeks will keep me busy and I have a somewhat busy weekend so hopefully it will go fast.
My DH is such a clueless man sometimes! He literally walked up to me tonight and said, "So are you pregnant?" I was like "I won't know for 2 weeks!" and he was so confused. He was thinking pregnancy was instant. Oh boy. I wish!

I also expect a BFN this month. Mostly because we only DTD 1 time the day of my 1st +OPK with an 8 day abstinence. I also had minimal EWCM for the 2nd month in a row. I normally have EWCM 3 days before O, but none this month other than a little bit the day we BD'd at the +OPK. Not sure what that sudden change in that means, so I sort of expect the swimmers had a hard time. Can a smaller amount of EWCM be diet related? I only really did the diet like 3 weeks but since I am so on the edge of being too thin, I feel like skipping breakfast and not snacking affected me more than a normal person, since there is not any weight to mess around with, but I could be wrong...who knows. :-)

Lol teachermom! That sounds a bit like my DH, they think it's an instant trick! We DTD last night (going for every 4 days) and this morning DH asks if I feel different! Bless :)
If my symptoms are correct I'm also one DPO although I never got ferns or pos opk so I'm going off stomach bloating/discomfort and a bit of watery + EWCM yest. Nerve wracking to think our BD fell right on ov. But in saying that I don't really expect a BFP because I think all the other sway tactics we used will be too much with clomid.. We'll see! So our first TWW begins!!
Green eyes, I so wouldn't lose hope with that sneaky line! You never know! :)

Well, the presence or absence of pos OPK doesn't mean anything, the time to ovulation is from the first positive and however long it stays positive after that is really just how long it takes your body to clear the LH. It's def. possible to get pg 2 days later from one attempt anyway (both 1 dbo and 2 dbo have better odds of conception than O Day itself!!)
You could also do the every 4 day method (BD every 4 days, with or without another attempt at pos OPK - if it's been more like 4 days, have another attempt, if it's only been 1 day stick with the one you have, and in between flip a coin) OR start off doing one attempt at pos OPK and then switch to the every 4 day method to cover it in case you thought your OPK may be a faker.

Oh I'm sorry, it wasn't my intention to butt in unwanted and unrequested LOL. I actually feel really bad I can't keep up with these threads and so whenever I see something go by that concerns me I try to post.
I just want as many people to get their DGs as is possible, that's why I do all this. :)
We were just teasing! I'm very grateful for your input. You have officially convinced me to stick to the one attempt and LE even if I drop everything else.

Hello everyone,
I've just had my implant out so my cycles are all messed up. Currently using ovulation sticks to see when I am ovulating.
Had a faint line today but not darker.
Bit confused about when to do the deed to conceive a girl though or does that not really matter?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So a positive OPK test line is as dark or darker than the control line. When you see a positive there's little doubt, it definitely as dark or darker than the negative faint line tests.
I have been going back and forth with atomic about the timing/number of attempts thing for about two months and she convinced me that the one attempt at positive OPK is the way to go as far as timing and frequency is concerned.
As for the other elements my husband is doing FR every day, meaning he releases everyday outside my body from the beginning of AF until our positive OPK to lower sperm count before our one attempt. Hope that clears things up!
AS, feel free to correct me if I'm incorrect!

Yes! ONE attempt at pos OPK, or you can DTD every four days to ensure only ONE attempt in fertile window. Be sure to stick to the LE diet though! If you haven't, I totally recommend getting the personalized sway plan with the coaching forum! Well worth the money.

Greeneyes! Omg I am so thrilled for you!! Agh, that's SO exciting! It gives me hope too because we were doing a very similar sway and I'd convinced myself that all the jellies were too much with clomid (I also took zyrtek about 3 hours before DTD so not sure if that had time to work or not) but now I feel like I can actively participate in the 2WW :) I have a good feeling you'll see pink - congrats on BFP.
Ohh I wonder who'll be next! I'm only 2DPO (& that's just a guess) so I'm quite a while off testing. We'll probs still have one more attempt this month on cd 20 because my cycles have been long prior to clomid - the last was 45 days! So no idea if that was real ov or not? Anyway, we're getting more relaxed at the whole "pink production" each time we've attempted so it's only helping the quest ;) LOL x

I was just standing in my kitchen and suddenly felt a sharp pain, like being stabbed with a long pin from the top of my stomach, through my uterus and down into my inner left thigh. It was so intense I doubled over and had to lay down. It only lasted a few seconds.
:suprise: Still going to wait until next week to test, but maybe it was implantation? Ah, who knows!?

Congrats greeneyes!!!!
I would like to join your group! I have 2 boys, ages 10.5 and 4.5, and this is our first month TTC girl! Our boys were "oopsies" after DTD twice without a condom. DH is 31 and I am 32.
I got my first +OPK on Tues afternoon, which was CD13, so we BD at midnight that night after a 7 day abstain. This is also my first month off the mini-pill, but I've been charting the last 3 months and I was still ovulating and having a regular period while on it. I'm on CD15 now and haven't had a temp rise yet, but I normally O on CD15 so I'm assuming I'll get a temp rise in the morning. I'm hoping our one attempt was enough!
If I don't get a BFP this month I will be waiting till June to TTC again since I want to avoid a Dec/Jan baby and I'm in no rush to get pregnant. My boys are 5.75 yrs apart and it looks like DS2 and a new baby would have about the same age gap.
Good luck to everyone! I'm hoping tomorrow will be 1DPO for me!

I adore silver hair (I'm nearly half white/grey naturally but wish it would come in faster). Can you post a pic? I'd love to see how it turns out. :) Congrats again on your BFP!
Following... I too am TTC Pink starting in Feb :))) Getting nervous as this will be hubs and I's first time TTC ever! :holysheep:
Oh exciting! It's nice to see someone else swaying for their first!
No exercise (which is hard for me as I am used to training for marathons).
I have never temp'd, so not going to start now! That would stress me out anyway, plus I usually sleep terribly, so probably would not work for me. I am SURE I am one of those women primed for making boys because I always have ample EWCM when not on BCP and even conceived a boy ON BCP with no EWCM.
We have a lot in common! I also made my first attempt after just a few weeks on the diet, even though I originally planned to wait another month. But then I didn't conceive that month, or the next (though I think I missed O that time), and now here I am trying my 3rd month after nearly 3 months swaying. I relaxed the caloric restriction after a month on the diet bc I feared it was delaying O, and I also didn't have weight to lose (I was 105-110lbs, now around 118lbs at 5'7"ish).
I'm a little concerned about the weight gain as it's pretty much my highest weight ever, but I am usually at this weight at this time of year, and most of my past pregnancies were conceived while I was 'heavier', so maybe I need the extra weight. Like you I'm a long distance runner but have not been running recently, though I could probably pick it up again now that I've gained some weight. Then again, I don't think I've conceived before while running, only during breaks due to injuries.
I am definitely eating differently, and seeing results like a switch from 1-2 weeks of copious EWCM before to all creamy CM except for 1-2 days of minimal EWCM right before/at O. So I know the diet is doing something. Lots of us have had this effect from the diet, hopefully you will, too. Btw, I have also conceived while on BCP with no EWCM.
I sleep poorly and wake up at all different times and was shocked to discover that I could still temp and see a clear pattern. It really helps me to pinpoint O and better understand what's happening in my body. I highly recommend trying, even if you think you aren't a good candidate.
Currently I am waiting to O and literally expect to any moment. I was going to skip this month but late Wed night I decided I wanted to try and had my one BD attempt. I was pretty dry and I didn't have EWCM until the next day, at least 12 hours later, so I'm a little worried the sperm won't survive the requisite 48 hours. But after last month when I BDed 12 hours or so after O (accidentally), and the month before when it was 24 hours before O, I felt it was better to have sperm waiting in plenty of time this month. Fx my temp spikes tomorrow.

All these ladies saying they're heavy at 5'6-7" and under 120lbs are kind of freaking me out! I'm 5'6" and 136lbs and feel pretty dang thin. If I was any lighter I wouldn't have a butt or boobs. It's a healthy BMI for my height too. Are we aiming for UNDERweight? My pants are all falling off me at this point as it is!

Nooooo. You want to stay in the normal bmi range. I was on the low end at like 19.2 give or take.

My bmi is 22.2 add everyone is commenting how thin I am! I am 5'2 and 127lbs. I am not the lightest I've ever been as that was for my wedding. Not sure I'll get there again but I'll try if its a bfn this month. I cant imagine how thin id be for a 18/19bmi!
So who's next for testing?
I am 7dpo now. Had an 8 day lp last month so could be out soon! We go away on holiday for a week today so will try add update when I can.
I had a real cheat day yesterday...stopped counting fat at 80g...oh well back on it today x

Heavy FOR ME...I realize I'm still thin! I do have a very delicate frame and carry extra weight poorly, though. I also have almost no muscle at all so it's all fat, especially what I've just gained.

Don't know how i will stay strong on holiday I usually pig out!!
Yeah its right unfortunately. Been tracking cycles with temp for 14 months now. They go between that with the odd 10-13 every fee month. Had blood test and I've low prog and get referral in March if not pg before then. I just live in hope of a longer lp monthly x

Welcome to the group, essnce629, and good luck!
Dreamingofwin, I’m exactly where you are – 5’2”,127lbs. This is the thinnest I’ve been in years! I’ve had to buy all new clothes…which hasn’t been all that bad. ;) Unfortunately, it’s still not near my lowest conception weight, which is probably more like 115, but that was 15 years ago and I doubt I’ll ever see that size again. I’m just focusing on steadily losing weight.
Which I totally failed at this week. Just got back from vacation where I had the best of intentions to stick close to LE, but ended up totally cheating by the last day. Hoping to get back on track this weekend. Stocking up on rice!

Congrats greeneyes!! That is so awesome!! :awe: I would be so skeptical if I start spotting too...it's my usual bf AF and I've never had implantation bleeding. But you give me more hope for sure!!!
Sorry I've been MIA (limiting my time online these days) but think I'm in the 2ww now. I should have ovulated around the 19th...This is month 3 for us and I decided not to do opk. Instead we are DTD every 3-4 days. But I am tracking temps and am on cd23 (my avg is 30days) without any significant temp spike yet :nails: I've lost 2-3lbs (5'3" 110lbs now) but reeeeally hope that didn't mess up O!
Hoping for lots of bfps for everyone in the 2ww!!

dreaming, did you start taking Vitex again? The only good thing about a short LP is you don't have to wait very long to know if you're pregnant. Do you/will you test early, say at 9DPO if AF hasn't come? That's Monday for you, right? Fx for you.
greeneyes & bethwade, it's my understanding that if you usually spot before AF and it is due to low progesterone, then often you will still spot right after conceiving. I bet that often when people think they have IB, it's actually just spotting from low P. Though of course you could have both...
beth, I am in a similar situation. My cycles are usually 28 days but I have a short LP, often under 10 days. I'm on CD21 and still no temp spike. I'm on my 3rd day of EWCM with HSO cervix (the last two months I had only 24 hours or a bit less of EWCM right on O day). I have intense O pain for a few hours that always coincides perfectly with O, but this month Ive just had 10 days of ovary twinges (I usually only have a day or two) and still no true O pain!
Does anyone think starting on Vitex right when I usually O could be delaying my O? I took my firsr dose on Monday, then when I didn't O I stopped taking it on Tue & Wed, then when I still didn't O I decided to resume it again on Friday/yesterday.

Oh beth, when did you BD (what CD)?
I am worried now about sperm surviving, since I BDed late Wed night before I had any EWCM. If my temp doesn't spike tomorrow, I will definitely BD again then, but does anyone think I should BD tonight? Would that be every 4 days or only 3? Last month I missed O and only managed to BD 12 hours after when I believe I Oed, after my temp had already spiked, too.

Ugh, I'm so sorry u r going thru this too! :(( I'm doing a personalized plan bc I have Sjogrens (autoimmune) so I can't eat a ton of girl diet stuff, totally inflames me. AS said to bump up my fat this week to see if it kick starts it... I'm DTD every 3 days bc I need to get pg quickly and get back to my normal diet routine :-/
This is my chart so far this cycle...we are Dtd again tonight!
