This is not to "play sneaky pool" with our results (since these are better tracked in the spreadsheet anyway) but because it will be easier for me to sort it out this way.

Nuthinbutpink- both of the blue and pink stats had to be updated by hand on the spreadsheet. Blueeyedguys and and I both entered in tons of old and new sways but the numbers didn't change automatically. Rainbow is the only one that has access to do that. Both of us have PMed her but haven't heard back yet. The numbers are not correct until they are updated by rainbow by hand :sad:

I wish! Unfortunately, 99% will never happen but going from 65%-70% likely to conceive a girl, to 75-80% likely to conceive a boy, without the insanity of douching, timing, dangerous diets and supplements, is FANTASTIC results.

For about three months leading up to the month of conception I ate a very high calorie/well-rounded diet (I usually watch calories strictly and started at a pretty low weight, so I gained about 10 pounds), took a pre-natal vitamin every day, lifted weights a couple days a week, and took Mucinex in the five days leading up to O. We also dtd every day leading up to O day, starting about five days before O day, and we used Pre-seed each time. If you'd like me to post this elsewhere in a different format I'd be happy to. Thank you all so much for your advice and support! I can't tell you how much this means or how excited I am. :)

IF swaying works, then luck and coin flips and all the rest of it really doesn't enter into it - if we're getting boys 80 or even 90% of the time (sorry, these results have got me very optimistic) then it isn't beyond the realm of possibility that 80-90% of us will end up getting boys!

Opposites are and always will be possible, but i do have to say of my (many) opposites with my blue swayers, quite a few of them had some extenuating circumstances that made swaying more difficult for them.

I am not holding out from you, Atomic! I at first really wanted to look at the envelope (dh has it at work), but I have prayed about it and kept feeling peace about not knowing. I had to know with DD2 right away, but for now, I think this is a good decision. DH really wants to be surprised, so I am trying to honor that too.

Yes I should have clarified, no one cut out dairy for swaying blue. If you need to do it for your health, that's fine, but anyone who is lactose intolerant can still eat yogurt and cheese in most cases because the lactose will be predigested by the microorganisms that turn the milk into yogurt and cheese.

FWIW I got my daughter dropping dairy and was also lactose intolerant so results all over the map with this one. :)

There are some people (particularly custom swayers) who do not choose to include their information publicly due to privacy issues and I think the results in this thread are very much indicative of what the average person can expect from a blue sway. :)

Thanks Atomic. I am sorry- I am not trying to be a pain, really. It is an emotional roller coaster, especially if I am in the 25% for an opposite. It is helpful to hear that some of the opposites are from hard to overcome fertility experiences. In my case, we conceived on first tries both sways (one in M/C) and very consistent with HE diet/lifestyle.

I think what is also helpful is to hear is the bulk of numbers is higher with your custom swayers. In the ttc girl thread, there are so many more swayers that you get more numbers to manipulate. Again, I know other GDreamers are having these thoughts too (about the stats) and probably even some of the 2015 swayers, so hopefully it assuages their concerns too. Thanks for your time!

No, not at all, and I want to help reassure you - remember I do understand the roller coaster ride (boy howdy) as do you since we are both people who did sway and get opposites! Of course as we all know swaying can never and will never be a guarantee, and it is always best to "hope for the best, prepare for the worst" (using term "worst" loosely as a gender swaying opposite is not the worst!)

Thinking about you! If I remember, you were feeling bad about your sway, and maybe some would disagree, but I think mine was really strong and still resulted in pink. But, new DD is so amazing and I have never been so happy about my baby- truly. Even when she was born, I didn't really even think about what she was. I have received so much positive feedback too about having 3 girls.

Team Green really is the way to go to avoid GD. I stopped obsessing around the 20 week mark and just enjoyed whoever my baby was going to be.

As of yet our boy database is small and imperfect so please take these numbers with a bit of a grain of salt - some of the things that people were doing and taking that have a sample size of like 2 people aren't necessarily good things or safe.

I do not feel the diet information is at all accurate in that spreadsheet (makes HE Diet look less effective than IG Diet when it's actually better) so here are the results we got the first year of the site, which aren't being represented in that spreadsheet.

Please look in the add your boy sway forum (where this thread is posted) and you can read a lot of sways in there, both successes and opposites.

Some of the sways were great and it didn't go their way. I'll say that right now - it is absolutely possible to have a "perfect" sway and still get an oposite. I suspect that over time as we add results we will settle in with 80% being the theoretical upper limit that most people can expect with a great blue sway and 75% the upper limit for girls.

Now, I know that is not the answer you are looking for so I will go over a few things I have seen. It's not meant as a rebuke in any way on anyone, eveyrone does the best that they can do and the purpose of this is only to help other people have the best chances they can.

Many of our blue sway opposites were in people who had had some complicating factor such as they were using at home artificial insemination or the husband had serious health issues, was super overweight, was on medication, had trouble DTD and a really low sex drive or some combo of all of those. Some of them were in people who inexplicably did not get pregnant for many months despite doing everything to conceive (meaning they may have lowered fertility for some reason we do not know, that may sway pink) The one biggie that I have seen again and again is the men who smoke. This is HUGE and if your husband smokes it has to go for best odds of a boy. There were some who were doing the old-school sway diets and avoiding calcium and magnesium and Vit. D, and eating tons of salt, and others who insisted on doing timing. And a few who just weren't that into it and gave up almost right away (this is an issue I have sometimes with blue swayers who tend to be more fatalistic - they don't think they can make a difference and so they give up).

Two things that you can control that I think can help a sway is firstly, doing the weights. It really helps. And secondly, just because it is a High Everything diet you should not gain in excess of 15 lbs absolute max and most people should gain only 3-5 lbs. no one needs to gain 30-50 lbs on HE Diet and in fact that may really harm your odds of success.

It's a girl. My 5th. I did the HE diet for 10 weeks. I ate protein and carbs and every meal and snack and added up my daily totals. DH and I took multivitamins, extra vitamin D, wheatgrass, and probiotics. I lifted weights 6 days a week. We did 4 attempts in the fertile window and used preseed. No boys for me. It's very hard to accept.

We also had one off year with the pink swayers too and then it recovered. When we deal with relatively small groups of people a few unlucky breaks can really change the % at the end. :)
