I'm wondering this too! When swaying for a girl is it better to take them or not?

Most people do but I am not. Have you read the calcium threads on here?

Yes those threads are what made me think again about taking them. Orignally I was going to until I read this and it made an awful lot of sense! I just dont know!

I understand the controversy but I am still taking calc and mag tablets because I never have before and don't consume any dairy and have two boys. I'm just trying to do things differently this time so I feel better in my mind.

I too had this dilemma as I have never drunk any milk with either if my boys but I did eat alot of cheese and yogurt! I haven't had much milk so far as it's high in sodium and protein and I can't decide about supplements, some days I take them and some I don't!! I just can't decide!!

I am pretty sure I am not going to take cal/mag, it may be a huge leap of faith but I just think it logically makes more sense that lower nutrients overall sways pink. I thought the point of the cal/mag was to acidify ph and if we are doing that through the diet I wonder if there is a need for it anyway!

I felt that I'd seen enough girl sway opposites where the mother had taken vast quantities of calcium and magnesium to satisfy myself that it wasn't something crucial and that I wouldn't look back and wonder if that would have made the difference. You have to do what feels right for you and know that you'll be at peace whatever sex of child you get following your sway :D

I didn't chime in on this thread originally because I thought you were asking for personal experiences...all I can say is if I had my sway to do over again, I would NOT take the cal, mag, and Vit. D.

This is the same for me... we only had a little dairy in cereal and icecream. I never took any calcium rich vitamins before and I know my calcium levels were on the low side around the times my boys were conceived.

I am taking the call/mag supps. I too think my calcium intake was on the low side before so I want to change that. Since starting the diet I have been loving dairy more and more. Also, calcium/mag is such a traditional part of a girl sway I just wanted to go with it.

I do love the calcium debate sticky - it was a great read and was very informative. I just feel the need to make as many changes as possible from when I had my boys.

If you're skipping the vitamin D, that's great!! Interesting about the Vit. D and showering!!

Calcium and magnesium were both found to raise T in studies.
