Hello everyone,

First post, so feeling nervous

I started the LE diet a week ago, the same day I has the contraceptive implant removed - my weight is totally average for my height, but I've always had a very boy diet

I've taken Zirtec and folic acid for a few days now

My husband works overseas a lot, and with that in mind, I was wondering whether we'd actually get pregnant at all this year as we'd probably only have 5 or so attempts in the year

BUT Last night he turned up at home as his client wanted to visit a city near our home for business for a few days. This means he is at home for another two nights

OPK last night and this morning was negative, but I still have some EWCM today despite the Zirtek

Basically I don't know whether to attempt tonight as he is away a lot and is home for a change - OPK doesn't indicate anything, although EWCM does (but the CM in itself is a bad sign, right?) Does the timing of having the implant out a week ago make a difference?

I could take another Zirtek... avoid orgasm, burn a lavender candle, fast for the rest of the day (had around 600 calls at lunch), I have a pink baby outfit under our bed, hot bath before bed, the chinese calendar says girl, I can J&D after and shallow penetration....

OR I could just let the chance go even though he is at home, and hope that he's home another time when I'm further into the diet and I know my cycle better... or does cycle timing not matter?

I keep reading so much contrasting info on timing I don't know what is best - and obviously I've only been dieting for a week, but it's been tough! I'm used to 2500 calls a day with a bit of everything, and I've been doing 1500 calls a day as a vegetarian - I'm in shock!

Any advice welcome - thanks

AAA so sorry I only just now saw this - ABSOLUTELY have an attempt unless you will be haunted forever by it if you get an opposite. If you only have 5 times a year to try, I think you should totally go for it, it may have been the Universe's way of ensuring you conceive your DD, after all!!!

and just to further encourage you, there is a lot to like in a sway like that - coming off bcp, on antihistamine, unexpected attempt - it's all good from where I sit and even people who diet for ages can still get opposites so I wouldn't worry too mucha bout that.

Thanks Atomic - in the end I was too nervous, just in case I'd not given the diet long enough. I think I've lost a few pounds this week, so I'm now tempted to try a little longer to see if a few more pounds lost will help sway more.

This morning my sister in law announced the first girl pregnancy in this generation of the family, after 6 grandsons between us - I'm surprised by the strength of my feelings so I need this sway to be the strongest and best I can muster, so I have no regrets. Our third baby will be our last I think

I'm thinking of April as the right time, so I have Feb and March still to prep my body. I feel so nervous already, it's all-consuming

My husband also won't do anything to sway, so it's all on me...

I totally understand that, my husband wouldn't either! Good luck - in my extended family we had 7 boys and 1 girl till 18 months ago and now we have 7 boys and 4 girls! It really goes in streaks like that sometimes.
