So this is a tricky one IMO. The baby is not lying competely sideways, more like in an angle with bottom half pointing up and leaning to the right, if that makes sense...
Doctor (a specialist in maternal-fetal medicine) said probably girl. I know it's still early (don't mind the GA 12w4d, was corrected to 11W), but I would love your opinions!! Have become completely nubsessed... :worry:

Well with baby laying on a funny angle my first thought was boy but when I draw the lines in my head to work out angles it looks like a girl..I would guess girl but if your only 11 weeks thats plenty of rising time so I am going to have a really weak girl guess.

Thank you for the replies!! I know it's really too early to tell, but I was so surprised when the doctor out of the blue asked if we wanted to know! But I guess the really well-experienced ones can see some clues already at 11 weeks :) can't wait for the next US!

11th weeks is a coin toss. My DS3's 11w5d u/s was a long flat line and got 100% girl votes back on IG. Can you get another u/s??

Going back in under 2 weeks, and getting an anatomy scan in 3 weeks, so all set. I know 11 weeks is 50/50 in general, but because the doctor meant he could tell I wanted to post it here to see if there were any others who could as well. Will update with pics after next U/S, can't wait!

I say if your doctor says you can tell gender at 11 weeks, get a new doctor because they do not know how fetuses develop and are basically indulging their ability to play guessing games at the expense of your emotions.
I also hope you get what you're hoping for. :)

11 weeks? There is plenty of time for the nub to rise. No guess from me.

UPDATE
Just came home from an U/S with the same doctor. Atomic, you were right, I really should get a new doctor. Now he thinks boy! Granted, the angle of the nub changes entirely from 11w to 13w, but I just feel like he is taking a wild guess and that his guesses can change from week to week. It feels incredibly random, and I don't know if I will be able to trust his "guess" when it is time for the gender scan.
Anyway, back to the nub. It was hard to tell, baby had its legs pretty closed, but the doctor was sure (again!) that he could see the nub and that it looked like a boy.. I also thought I saw a boyish nub, but I'm not sure, as I said, it was hard to tell. We didn't get any good pics this time, I've attached a couple. Does anyone see a nub at all? GA is 12w6d. 16805
That big thing can't possibly be the nub, can it? I see toes in the background, so could it be part of a leg?

Still can't see a nub.. Anyone?
