Hoping someone can give me some reassurance - I am quite worried as for the last 3 cycles have completely changed from what there were - I used to get a lot of fertile mucus including EWCM for about 4-6 days prior to O an O pains but the last 3 cycles I have had a little bit for about half a day and then nothing and no other ovulation signs. I hope I haven't missed the boat and can no longer conceive? I will be 41 in about 6 months -has anyone else had same problem and conceived naturally at my age?
Thanks xx

I had a lot less CM than I used to and did get my daughter at 41 1/2. THere is CM up inside where you can't see it!!

If your'e really worried about it, you can try a little preseed, you don't have to use enough to sway blue, just a little bit may make the difference.

Thanks very much atomic, I tried your suggestion this month so see how I go. Ther is one concern I have though - the fact that we have been trying for a girl means neither my husband or I have had any vitamins supplements or eaten a lot for over 6 months - the only thing I take is folate. I scared myelf by reading a well known natural fertility book which really emphasis the importance of prenatal vitamins and nutrition for a healthy baby for several months before conception - what r your thoughts on this? I am now concerned about abnormalities or further m/c. Thanks :)

I'm going to post a link that contains an explanation, but for the people who are not going to click it, I would never recommend anything that I did not feel was fully safe. Full explanation in this thread. http://genderdreaming.com/forum/trying-conceive-girl/24628-le-diet-faq.html

Thanks Atomic,
I didn't mean that the LE diet might be unsafe - sorry if it read that way - I was just wondering if you think vitamins are all they're cracked up to be as most people including doctors never recommend them anyway and say they are a waste of money. thanks :)

I DON'T think they're all they're cracked up to be at ALL and I am not even totally convinced that they're safe in the amounts that people are taking them in.

Folic acid is the only nutrient supplement proven to help make healthy babies when taken prepregnancy. The other stuff hasn't been proven to do anything (and this has been widely studied too BTW) and as long as you start prenatal at BFP, best data indicates that is perfectly fine and the benefits for the pregnancy from any nutrient begin at that point.
