I have been on the le diet since December 29. I have lost 8 lbs. I started out at 140 lbs and am now 133-132 lbs (I'm only 5'2"). I stay in my limits with calories between 1200-1500 a day. I'm not exercising. I have stopped losing weight and I don't know why. Is this common? Could it mean I have thyroid issue (my mom has it)? Will this ruin my sway for February since I still have a lot of weight to lose and I'm at a stand still? Any advise on what to do would be appreciated. Thank you.

Do you feel hungry a lot? If you start to feel hungry a lot your body thinks your starving it and will start to store more fat from the food your are eating for its reserves.

I'm new to using diet to sway but know this from my healthy personal trainer hubby but don't know on the girl sway part.

Well not a lot. I don't eat till I feel hungry. As I thought that what we were supposed to do on le diet. I do skip breakfast (well I have coffe with fat free coffee mate) as advised then eat lunch between 11-1 depending on when I get hungry and when my boys take a nap. Then dinner is between 5-6 depending on how hungry I am. Does it sound like that's what's happening? How do I fix this without messing up my sway in just a couple weeks? :(

I haven't lost any weight in the last few weeks.. I dropped 3 kg and that's where it stopped. I know from previous weight loss its the carbs and I personally don't lose weight unless I am under 1200 cals with no excercise and that's not recommended for a healthy ovulation but like you I am a short arse at 5ft 2 as well.. Maybe us shortys can go down to 1100 calories in the last 2 weeks... because that's what I was honestly thinking of doing. Or maybe its better to keep the calories and start the 1 hour a day of cardio for two weeks before attempt??? Atomic might be able to answer!!

Thank you rainbow baby! I seriously thought I was losing my mind! I'm glad I'm not alone on this. Do you have suggestions for cardio? I have bad knees due to dancing when I was younger and I have a 3.5 and 2 year old to keep up with. Would hooking my kids trailer up to my bike be too much like lifting weights? It's a lot of work to cycle with them attached even at a low speed.

I've been following the LE diet since August/September but had lost a few pounds starting in July and my weight plateaued in November. I can still afford to lose a few pounds b/c I'm 5'4" and 125 pounds but I'm not going to make myself crazy. I already eat on the lower limit of LE. I do eat a lot of carbs so I'm sure that isn't helping. I've come to the point b/c I'm not getting preggo that I can't focus everything on my weight. I need to just live my life and be blessed with what God gives me. I am at my lowest conception weight so I'm hoping that alone will help when I do conceive.

It's normal for your metabolism to drop a bit and for you to plateau for a while. adding exercise can help, also cutting back on empty carbs if you were eating a lot of them. Sometimes it takes a little while for your body to relax and start letting weight go again.

:agree: weight loss is just one tactic that may help. It's not a magic bullet and we've seen people get boys after having lost a ton of weight and girl opposites with blue sways where they were gaining weight. Please don't get too hung up on weight loss, the diet still sways whether or not you lose weight.

Ok so it's ok that this is the heaviest I've been when ttc? I am following le so that should be enough as far as diet and weight goes right?

Thanks you atomic for the info. However I've stopped OCD ing about my fsh levels but when I did research lots if working out doesnt help that so I'm trying to stay away from it for now bc read it reduces fertility. Going to fertility dr next week and have a feeling he's going to tell me to drop some of the carbs. I'm trying not to think about anything until that day bc I don't want to swaycess. Lol. I'm still following le diet right now. I actually have a bad sinus infection and have no appetite at this time. I'm coming to terms with myself that I'd just be happy to welcome another baby. Still have s preference for a girl but whatever god gives me us meant to be. That's my new found thinking. Thanks again for all your help. I'm still not taking prenatal or vitamin d. Going to ask dr to run my vitamin d levels again to make sure they r still normal after stopping them 2 mis ago. As if last year and this previous October I was in normal range do that's why I felt comfortable stopping it. Thanks again for all your help.

And I'm very comfortable with my weight right now so I will continue to follow the diet. So I don't really plan on losing anymore anyway unless it just falls off by itself.

I simply can't say what is ok and what isn't. Those are "crystal ball" questions that I just can't answer. All I can say is that there are many people who have gained weight and still gotten girls, and lost weight and still gotten boys. :)

Trishy when they say "lots of working out" it's way way more than most of us on here would ever do (more than the 60 6-7 recommendation) and it means for people who are already rail thin and dieting super strictly (which if memory serves you are more laid back on diet - totally fine but I'd like to see you doing exercise in that scenario). Exercise is GOOD for fertility. :)

Hope you feel better soon! Sinus stuff is the worst.

I'm glad I read this post as I recently dropped exercise and started gaining weight ;(, but I have decided to cut out empty carbs. I can't do the intense cardio but I can probably walk slow paced for an hour. I'm still doing LE but I think the cheats and no exercise are what have me a couple of lbs up lol.
