Hi there! I usually post on the ttc girl board but have a question for a friend!
A very good friend of mine who has 6 gorgeous little ladies is thinking of swaying blue next time. She is currently breastfeeding her littlest girl who will be 1 this month, and wants to start fish oil...what is a safe amount for her to take right now?

Anything else swaying-wise she can do right now while BFing? I know the answers could be long but any info you can give me would be a great help to my friend, thanks so much! :)

I recommend no more than 1000 mg and since she's BF she should wean into it to make sure her daughter tolerates it ok - some blood thinners do seem to come thru the milk and affect babies, fish oil shoudl be beneficial but can cause bleeding/bruising and since toddlers take so many tumbles, I like to be cautious - wean onto them and wean off of them gradually.

I would also have her take a good multivitamin, up to 2000 mcg of folic, up to 1000 IU Vit. D and be sure she is eating well! Feel free to pass along the HE Diet nutshell version to her!!
