Hi ladies. Before conceiving my boys I never had yeast infections, but after my second son was born, I get them every month. Before starting the low everything diet I'd get them the day before my period and it'd last till my period was over. Now the last two months it's started the day after my period. (I'm assuming it's a Yi. I have itching (tmi on the the labia but not inside the vagina. I also don't have discharge.). My question is what can I do about this? Should I not ttc until I figure out what's going on? Will it destroy my sway?

For me, sanitary towels sometimes cause YI during AF. I'm not sure if it's the chemicals in them. Anyway I went over to washable sanitary towels to avoid this problem & it works for me. Hopefully Atomic can give you some advice too. :)

Ya idk what is causing mine. But it's very frustrating. I'm afraid to ttc when it happens every month. But it doesn't happen around ovulation so I wonder if it even matters. It's always gone before I ovulate

There are other things that cause labial itching, I think a yeast infection is particular to the mucous membranes of the vagina. Maybe a fungal infection of the skin? I'd see an OB/GYN!

That's why I wasn't sure if it was a yeast infection. It's just so weird that I get it every month. I know it's not any type of std though so that's not even a question. I just wonder what it is. Only one way to find out I suppose

Just in case anyone else has this issue Vaginal Itching Before Period | MedGuidance.com (http://www.medguidance.com/Vaginal-Itching-Before-Period.html). But I still don't know if this will affect my sway

I was kind of thinking vaginal dryness since before and after period is when CM is at its lowest. Have you tried repHresh? It helps with dryness and is girl friendly.

I have the same problem since I stopped breast feeding. My doctor said itīs not an infection, she wants to check my hormones during the next cycle. And she suggested I should try RePhresh to help with the dryness. I had to smile a little bit when she mentioned it as I was already planning to buy it for swaying reasons.

I think the absolute best remedy for YI is to take some natural plain yogurt with natural cultures like Mountain High and use it (only takes a small amount) as a cream on the outside where you're feeling the itchiness and it repopulates the area with healthy microorganisms that then outcompete the yeasties and the infection goes away wihtout having to use the harsh medications.

I feel so much better after reading all your responses. Thank you so much for taking the time to do that. I do believe it's do to dryness as it always is gone before ovulation when I get tons of ewcm. I'm also taking antihistamines to keep the ewcm at bay so I think that is a factor as well for the time being.
