A real newbie here although I registered almost 3 years ago!

We have to fantastic sons a have always talked about having third child, although we have been a bit unsure of when would be the right timing in our lives. A few months I got unexpectedly pregnant but unfortunately it ended i misscarriage after 14 weeks (about 3 weeks ago).

That made us very decisive of that we really really want a third child and we want it as soon as we can.

We want to give swaying towards pink a chance though so I have the latest 2 weeks been reading as much as I possibly can both here and on IG. A lot of the facts were kind of confusing at first but I think it makes a bit more sense now. Anyhow, I have decided to stick with the LE-diet instead of IG and started a few days ago. Will probably not wait for 6 weeks before attempting but give it a go as fast as my body is in balance again (havent got Ov or AF yet).

I would really appreciate if somone would look through my plan. It is probably far from perfect and I know our "hurry" to attempt is probably decreasing our chances, but our desire to get pregnant is bigger than the desire to have a DD and wait for the perfect sway.

I am planning on doing the LE-diet with pasta, rice, white bread, iceberg sallad, cucumber, some fish, chicken and low-fat youghurt (0,1% fat with aspartam) plus pepperminth tea and sprite zero.

I have decided not to cut out coffee.

I will eat dinner at 5.30-6 pm and then try to make a late and small breakfast at 10 am. That would give me 16 hours of not eating. A lunch (similar to dinner) at 12.30.

I will check my pH, did it today and it looked like 5, so I shuold be able to get it down a bit more. Also have gotten a cream/vagotirium (? sorry my english isnt't that great...) that has a pH of around 3, a washing cream of pH 3,5.

Supplements: Cranberries, Folic acid, Magnesium/calcium.

DH will have lot of saunas (me as well) and also eat cranberries.

My weight is currently 72 kg, height 1,65, will hopefully lose som kg during this diet.

I am not doing a lot of excerise at the moment due to back problems, but usually I do cardio 3 times a week.

Do you think that a diet could hava any effects in a few weeks? I don't know when I will Ov but I have a big pack of test sticks. I usually feel my ov very strongly. Ah, and we are planning on testing lime tampons/douche as well.

Please, if you se any huge errors, give me a hint!

Oh, forgot to mention that I am 34, dh is 37. We wont do abstinence before bd after having read about the risks.

Our misscarriage was due to foster defects, so we do not want to take any risks.

New bump and also new question.

I have been doing supplements and diet for only five days but since yesterday it feels like my body is so dried out?

My mouth feels like the Sahara and I have a headache (which can probably come from the diet having around 13-1500 cal). I try to drink a lot of water but also have to visit the toilet a lot.

I just ordered angus castus (drops) today and also wonder if you think they will have any effect in a few weeks? Any difference between drops and tabs?

I am very tempted to ttc as fast as I can, but also worried about blaming myself afterwards. I don't know when body is in shape again thogh, found out that I have a cyst on one ovary right now that I guess will have to disappear before o and AF starts again. Anybody have any experience of that?

Well, I'd love to see you eat more variety of foods than that to be sure. That is NOT LE Diet, that is a starvation diet and you need to be at least eating the minimums on protein, fat, and calories.

I am not the biggest fan of cranberry or douching or lime tampons. Def. test your vaginal creams with douches if you must use them, becasue some creams mixed with douches can actually make your pH go up.

I agree that since you are coming off the loss you should try to catch the first egg even if you can't be on diet the full 6 weeks. I would NOT have you doing peppermint tea until you ovulate and get one AF. If you use peppermint tea, it can delay the return of ovulation for a really long time.

Your loss was due to chromosomal defects?? Or neural tube defects?? Either way I would have you increase your folic acid to at least 2000 mcg and even as much as 4000 if it was neural tube defect.

Thank you for responding me Atomic!

The loss was due to chromosomal defects (amongs others, but not neural tube as far as I know, we are still waiting for some more information).

Ok, peppermint tea - will skip.

What about angus castus? I just ordered it but haven't gotten it yet. Not sure if that will mess things up.

Also, has to be mentioned, yesterday I found out I have a cyst on my ovary that is probably to burst and disappear soon, but that may mess my af and O up as well. Is that something I should consider or should I just keep strict to the diet and wait for Af and/or use opk and take the chance when it comes.

The diet - i know it's not great. I really don't know what to eat. I have been dieting a lot before (a bit too much going towards eating disorder, but that was many years ago) so when I start going on low cal I tend to go too low. I have struggled to at least reach 1200-1500 cal these days.

Is cheese filled pasta (tortellini etc) ok? In that case I can easily get cals up a bit.

I had my dh starting to take cranberries and Kalc+magn as well, is that right or wrong?

Maybe overdoing by considering both vagitorium (?) like rephresh (called something else here in sweden, pH 3,5) AND lime tampon??

I understod that ONE attempt is important - will do! :-)

And fr is best considering our age and chromosomal defect, right?

Thank you so much for helping, very much appreciated!!

Bumping...

and hoping that someone might be able to help me concerning the cyst and angus castus.

The cyst may affect the return of my af and o and I can't really tell when it'll start. Can I begin taking angus castus at once when getting af or do I risk to mess things up even more?

I would not do vitex till you have ovulated and gotten AF - when we've had peopel try taking it right after a loss, it really delayed return of cycle. you won't ovulate till after the cyst has resolved in the vast majority of cases.

There are several threads on here with meal tips and ideas and then we also have the 21 Day Diet books for sale that have bunches of recipes, nutrient data, meal ideas all laid out.

There are no forbidden foods so yes, tortellini is fine. it's the totals of the day that matter and not any "magic" foods.

Some people's husbands use cranberry and cal/mag, others don't.

You can't use both REpHresh and lime tampon anyway, they cause pH to spike. Some of the creams are ok with lime tampon but I do think it's very much overkill to do both.

FR or even regular release with one attempt. I would not have you do abstain, that's the thing to avoid.

Just realized that I didn't answer your last post Atomic, sorry! I think I mixed it up with another thread I posted (they were a few during my first week here!)

Anyway - I got my AF 5 weeks after m/c and then started with Vitex. If my cycle would be as usually I will O on friday/saturday. I feel nervous about only having been on the diet for 4 weeks. Will the loss still sway pink even after 7 weeks?

I started antihistamines yesterday and will probably also start using my rephresh-kind-of-stuff ("vaginal pills" pH 3,5) from today or tomorrow. DH is doing FR (not so happy about it) and eating cranberry. I skipped it and go for the low-nutrition way. Have had wine almost every night (since on holidays) and have really tried to stick as strict to the diet as I can. I have had a sore throat last week and it feels like something is about to break out - never ever before have I been happy to welcome a cold or even hoped for some fever ;-)

No one knows how long a loss might sway for and it is probably different for every person.

Thanks Atomic,

We have done our attempt last night so now we can only wait and see. If it doesn't work this month, I'll try to see it as my chance of making an even better sway as I'll stay longer on the diet. Thank you for replying all these posts and helping out - very much appreciated!!
