Hello all! I am new to this site and have a question about low fertility. Right now I am breastfeeding (not exclusively) and it seems to be affecting my fertility. Normally I get plenty of fertile CM each cycle but lately haven't had much. Also, every few months my LP is randomly only 10 days, when normally it's around 12-13. We also recently went mostly vegetarian for health reasons and I think that might have affected my fertility too. Anyway, my question is this, do I WANT to take vitex or B6 to "help" my fertility? Would that still sway pink or am I better off letting my body keep lower fertility on its own and swaying pink that way? I've been charting/temping for over 4 years now and have never quite had this combo of short LP/low fertile cm. Thanks for your help!

The confusion comes in because some people have trouble conceiving due to excess of some sex hormones - in essence they're almost TOO fertile - and so some of the supps that are said to "boost fertility" can actually lower fertility by reducing levels of some hormones. Good if you have too much, bad if you are in low or even normal ranges.

I would NOT take B6, I do not believe that is a fertility reducer at all and think it sways blue. Have seen tons of blue opposites with people taking it (including my failed sway!)

If you think you're on the right track already, I would leave the vitex out. we have had kinda underwhelming results with that, it can really fudge with the cycle, and while I happen to think it lowers fertility overall and thus sways pink for some people (this is one of those I am referring to in my first paragraph there) the results have not justified the trouble it causes and some people have seemed to reduce fertility to such an extent that they don't get pg till after they drop it.

Thanks for your help atomic! I have been surprised my fertility is lower just naturally from eating vegetarian and breastfeeding, but I have read so much about swaying that I keep thinking is diet "enough?" Can't take saw palmetto because I'm breastfeeding boys at that. Thanks again!

The funny thing about swaying is that it really IS and in fact has to be, simpler than we're making it. Most of the people walking around out there are getting both boys and girls doing none of this, and thus it just can't be the case that it is hard or complicated to get kids of either gender. For pink swayers, I think we may even hurt our chances of success by making things so overly complicated that we basically send our T levels (or whatever the personality factor is that sways) through the roof and convincing our bodies that a boy pregnancy has a better shot! http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/33517-maternal-dominance-hypothesis-priviledged-daughter-hypothesis.html
