Hi lady's. I've been on the le diet since end of December and haven't been working out. I've hit a wall with weight loss and think it would be benifical to add in some excersise. I do think I can do 60 mins a few times a week but not so sure bout 6-7 days a week. Or 30 mins 6-7 times a week I may be able to manage that. Anyway should I try it or just stick with the couch potato approach? I'd like to try the 30 day shred but is that too boy friendly? What workout DVDs do you lady's prefer for ttc girl?

It is recommended to do cardio exercise for a full hour. Initially it was said 6 days a week but it could still sway to do 4 or 5. Most ladies are sticking to 6 days a week. It needs to be an hour because after 45 minutes the body really goes into fat burning mode. cardio is the necessary exercise because it doesn't "build" muscle and higher testosterone like other exercises. We are suppose to avoid strength building things.
Examples would be stationary or real biking, running, power walking, treadmill walking. A lot of ladies use the Walk away the pounds DVDs.

Thank you I think I'll look into walk away the pounds. I'm not a runner as it's way too hard on me knees and aggravates previous injuries.

I can't run either...I have terrible knees too. I have mostly been doing power walking and it has been great!

When I was exercising I did Zumba on my Xbox Kinect, it was over an hour and doable after the kids went to bed. The only problem was then I could never go to bed on time because I'd have so much energy. :running:

I think the 60 min. is more important than the 7 days a week, if you could manage 4 or 5 days instead that would still probably be ok. If it's only going to be 2-3 times a week I feel less confident in that amount.
I like Walk away the pounds for TTC pink, it's very easy to do!!

Prayingpink,
I love the 30DS - Jillian M is awesome my favorite trainor-her DVD workouts are great!
but when I came on here and Atomic suggested only cardio for TTC girl- I had to do major adjustment to my regimen- Now I am spinning 3x a week and walking on the treadmill on an incline or running. I also use my heart rate monitor to make sure I am in fat burning zone. I work about 5-6 days a week- I stop all weights- this has been hard. I have noticed some muscle loss but for my little girl I will try it.
I have 3 girlfriends all pregnant now -again- with baby girls and they workout out 5 days a week/running and very little weights.
One of them has 2 girls and just found out-even with using preseed that she is a having another girl. I guess Cardio helps sway! Praying it works for us

Atomic, I tired walk away the pounds on YouTube and liked it. I wasn't too much out of breath or sweating much but my legs were throbbing for awhile after wards. Is that ok? I was doing at their pace maybe I should try increasing the pace?
Jewelle, I agree. I love her DVDs. Maybe I'll have to wait till after baby's birth to do 30 day shred. I used to work out all the time but since me second was born I haven't really been keeping up with it like I should. I'm starting walk away the pounds today and if I don't get bfp this month (I kinda hope I don't so I have more time to workout), do you think just one month of cardio is enough to sway?

Prayingpink,
I would totally wait till after baby to do them  When my 3DS was born, I started working out hardcore-and did a ton a cardio/strength- plus LE diet and lost 70lbs! I first started with walk away the pounds and gradually increased- but then I learned that strength is a NO NO, so I stopped that and continue with cardio classes.
One month of cardio-enough sway?...hummm...I dunno (not the sway expert)hence 3 boys- LOL- but from what I have read on here it's good to do cardio for at least 60 minutes minimum 4-5 days a week. This is a good question for Atomic and probably already been asked.
If anything at least you'll feel great and I can't imagine it hurting your sway! :)

I did the DVD again today and I'm feeling like my legs are gunna fall off my body lol. I know my heart rate was definately up more today than yesterday but with how exhausted my legs are should I be worried about possibly building muscle? I'm doing the 4 mile walk specifically.
I'm hoping just one month is ok. I'm 132 now and 5'2". I could stand to lose 10-15 more lbs but not much more. I'm hoping to get my bfp next month. I might get bfp this month though

Oh and I'm aiming for 6 days a week just so if I don't fit it in a few days I'll be ok.

Hoping the exercise does it for me this time. I am able to fit the hour in each morning, when boys are at school and baba is sleeping!!!! Leslie Sansone 5 mile fat burning walk is the one I'm doing!!!

Odd, thank you. That gives me hope. I'm so concerned about gaining muscle but I don't think that's really possible with such low nutrients coming in.
Pedmcpd, yes I was so conserved about not being able to keep it up but now I'm so determined! I'm not sure I can keep it up more than a month but I'm really hoping I get pregnant next month so I'm gunna really push the cardio this month and see how it goes. I really want a December baby

As long as you're doing a lower protein, lower cal diet then you cannot be building muscle. IT's difficult for ladies to add muscle under ideal circumstances and on a lower protein, lower cal diet diet, esp. coupled with weight loss, it's impossible. :)

When you first start exercising, even intense 60 6-7 exercise, it can boost T levels before you drop into overexercise and run out of "juice". But we don't even KNOW that that sways blue anyway, and you may not get pg the first month out anwyay.

Thanks for this post. I am going to try what someone suggested the 5 mile fat burning walk. Plus I am running in the color run at the end of April. I looked up walk away the pounds on youtube and it seems to be a really good workout. Another good option could be couch to 5k. I am going to mix that with the Leslie Sansone.

Good ideas. I think I may try couch to 5 k but I'm scared cuz running always tends to hurt me

That's exactly why I'm avoiding running. I can get hurt and then I'm afraid that stopping exercising will ruin my sway, or at least that worrying that I stopped exercising will ruin it. I plan to try couch to 5k after my BFP :)

I am doing the leslies 5 mile fat burn too! I have also been using the wii u fitness and doing the 60 minute intense cardio workout at random so it will be running in place and then hula hooping...along with golf driving range...weird!

I never get hurt per se but I have bad knees, so I'm hoping it won't be too bad. What do you normally hurt?

Lilithwiser, ya I have weak ankles and my knees swell very easily. I have injured myself so many times in dance and cheerleading in high school that it takes very little to send them into a bad state. It's funny the things that seem so important to us as teens, then we grow up and regret it. Oh well lol. Idk maybe running will give me some strength back a bit to actually keep me from injuring myself so easily. I'm just scared lol.
Rosie, you sound like you've got this down! I really like the 5 mile walk but find I'm getting bored. I think I might need to mix it up a bit.
Marriedmomof2, I tend to hurt my knees and ankles. Years of strain from dance and cheer many years ago really have taken it's toll on my body. I also have tendinitis in my right wrist but thankfully I don't need that for cardo :) I can't do push ups or put really and weight on my wrist so I'm thankful I'm not swaying for a boy lol. Just need to find a way to protect my knees and ankles.
