I saw on the thread about no magic foods that Coffee is listed a swaying pink? I thought somewhere I saw it sways blue? I'm confused! What's the reasoning behind the sway (in either direction)?

It used to be thought coffee was a no no for pink as it leached calcium and higher calcium was thought to sway pink, but that's pretty much been debunked. Caffeine in extremely high amounts nay sway pink by lowering overall fertility. I know lots of girl moms who drink coffee and boy moms who drink tea, and coffee is generally considered more girl-friendly while tea more boy friendly (nutrients and antioxidants)

Well, that's good news! I'd hate to give up my daily coffee! Can you point me to stuff that talks about it being debunked? What do we (genderdreaming) know now that supports the idea that it sways pink?

I drank tons of coffee when I conceived my girls a few large cups a day and then I had 1 coffee a day when I swayed for my son

Coffee is listed on some other sites as swaying blue and there are probably a few of our earlier essays where it's mentioned as being believed to sway blue. At the start of the site I had to kowtow a bit more to tradition even when I didn't think things worked (as per our convo on other thread) and I want all possible ideas talked about on here. So I sometimes discuss things I don't necessarily agree with because it's not swaying MY way, it's swaying YOUR way and people should always feel free to follow their own beliefs regardless of what I think. :)

I need an essay specifically on this topic but just in brief, the best study ever done on gender ratio found no difference in gender conceived with caffeine use. And the reasoning why it was originally thought to sway blue (that it caused calcium to leach from your bones) has been 110% debunked and no reputable sources believe that any more. Not to mention calcium for swaying doesn't necessarily add up and I do not believe it's supported by the facts anyway.
