Hi girls!
I had my MaterniT21 test done last Friday (2/14) first thing in the morning. First I was told 5-10 days, then I was told 7-14 business days!! I am trying REALLLLLLLY hard to be patient but I am about to go crazy here!! How long did it take for your results to come in?? I am in the US. Thanks!!

Most people I know had to wait 10 days minimum. My friend got hers back at 11 days just last week. Another right at 14 days.

I don't want to give you false hope, but I got mine back in 7 calendar days. Then again, that was back in late 2012, it might be taking longer now.

Update! So I don't have cell phone reception at work on Tuesdays & Fridays - I am a school social worker and go to three different schools. I got a voicemail about 20 minutes ago from my OB's office saying that my test results are in - everything is NEGATIVE!!!!:cheer: Of course, their office closes early on Fridays so I wasn't able to call back and hear the gender!! I have to wait til Monday now but will update as soon as I know!! Crossing fingers for :DD:

yaaay for your results! I am waiting for mine too, and it's nice to hear that yours came so quickly.
I took this test with a prior preg last year, and it took about 2 weeks to get results, but I tested positive for a trisomy, and I think that can take longer. It seems that with a clear negative they will only use the first vial of blood, whereas with an unclear or potentially positive result, they double-check the second, which tends to take longer.

I'm sorry, kellbell. I mean, I'm so glad for you that your little guy has normal chromosomes, but I'm sorry that it wasn't what you wished for, and that your daughter won't have a sister (for now). (For all that it's still special and wonderful that your son will have a brother.) It makes total sense that you'll be mourning the loss of the daughter you'd dreamed of for a while, along with your happiness about your new son... :bighug:

Thank you sugarNspice. I do have a lot of different feelings right now but I am hopeful that I will be able to find peace and connect with this little man growing inside of me. DH and I decided that we will probably try for #4 in a couple of years but in the meantime, I just want to enjoy the three that I have. I have a doctor appointment on Friday where we will hopefully hear this little one's heartbeat and I am looking forward to just being pregnant and feeling him move. I have always enjoyed being pregnant once I get through the sickness phase so I'm hoping this will be no different.
I really want to make sure that I make my best effort for #4 when the time comes and then at least I can say that I made a great attempt.
