TIMING?

I'm confused ladies! If timing DOESNT sway then why does it seem like all the girl attempts do an O-4 or O-3 cutoff and all the boy attempts are right at ovulation or much closer? I thought is was disproven that XX sperm are slower & live longer & XY are faster & die quicker.So if this is NOT true why do lots of folks on here do this? I'm asking this question because I am swaying BLUE but this month I only got ONE attempt in as my DH had to travel & I'm thinking it was O-2 or maybe even O-3.I'm afraid I did a perfect girl cutoff.I guess I'm also confused because both my DDs were conceived from several attempts right at ovulation.Ugh.Its so hard NOT to obsessed when u don't have a perfect sway!! Thx ladies!!

From what I'm learning on here, timing doesn't sway, but frequency does. If you are ttc a boy, you want to Dtd several times in the fertile window and if you want a girl you bd only once at +opk.

I believe thus is true bc both my boys were conceived with frequent bd through o.

I wonder if it depends on DHs sperm count or age or something.for dd#1 we dtd like 10 days b4 ovulation & even after positive OPK.dd#2 we waited for positive OPK & dtd maybe 3 times around ovulation.

Cervical mucus seems to have a swaying effect, as well. It makes sense to me that a lot of people think timing is working, when it's really CM, since your CM will be drier the further away from O you are, and plentiful at "blue" timing.

Thx Lilith! I had lots of EWCM on our attempt so that makes me feel a bit better.I just found my fertility friend chart from when I conceived dd#2.We DTD CD 15 17 19 21.chart says I ovulated day 20.cant remember if I had EWCM but we did use preseed for both girls

My second son was a ohw at o-2 so I wouldn't worry too much. Although potentially you stressing about a perfect sway may help with pink!!! :) good luck hope you hear blue xx

That kind of stress sways blue. The stress of being overwelmed almost depressed sways pink. I think its the differnce of worrying that what can go wrong or getting down cause thinks just happen and you can't controle it and things get too much. (Wich sways pink)


Edit you want a boy! Then this stress is perfect. I think smurf wanted to write blue and wrote pink.

Timing doesn't sway. There's plenty of shettles opposites and I'm one! I got my first son with a 4 day cut off, probably because I have crazy EWCM. I got my second son doing frequent release all the way through O (so many many attempts) like Lilith said, it's probably CM that's swaying and just making it look like timing. The best thing thats been going for a girl sway is one attempt in the fertile window, regardless of timing.

I'm not sure if frequency sways in the way we think, unless it's drastically lowering/raising sperm count and that's what's swaying, or if again it's cm that's swaying as the number or pattern of BD frequency could affect cm (that's why I think I got my second son, all that semen from FR made my cm boy friendly)

so I wouldn't be concerned with your attempt timing. I think the one attempt could be overcome by other factors like diet and EWCM.

Thank u girls!I so appreciate ur help.i don't think I had hardly any CM for either girl.definitely girl diet. Cardio LE diet some alcohol.dd#2 I was swaying.drank tons of lemon water & boy friendly stuff but it was low calories.I was always trying to drop a pound or 2 & I was working @ the hospital & running around like a mad woman every shift. This time I had a great boy diet.HE diet wheatgrass good supplements lifted weights but only managed to get one workout a week.dh took fertilaid omega 3 & magnesium.we hadn't dtd for 3 days b4 our attempt.God I hope it was enough

Thx Carmella! & u can have all my PINK DUST! Oh I should mention for all those reading this & swaying BLUE I hardly had any EWCM until I started drinking grapefruit juice! It did wonders for my EWCM as much as I detested drinking it!

The night we did our attempt my EWCM was peak.it was still present but got less & less the next couple days.

They don't??? I don't see hardly anyone doing that on here. Timing is totally debunked, X and Y sperm live the same amount of time, swim the same speed, and are practically identical in size.

I know people do it on other sites but it's because they want to hedge their bets and do everything for swaying.

I can promise ya I got at least 2 of my boys with cutoffs that far out.

You are thinking of how swaying works in too literal a fashion. There are no magic bullets or light switches. It is the big picture that sways gender including diet, exercise, lifestyle, a thousand other things - this is just one tiny piece of the puzzle. So if you have overall pink-friendly stuff going on you can absolutely get a girl with boy frequency.

It is not stress in and of itself that sways blue, it's trying to control that sways.

That's what I originally thought was that lower sperm numbers from the frequency was swaying. But it's pretty apparent that one attempt is swaying pink no matter what, so I think the one attempt is "pinker" than the frequency. But people can and do still get boys from one attempt.

Yes, three of my boys are from 1 attempt in the fertile window, 2 were 3-4 day cut offs. I guess it's all the other lifestyle factors swaying blue for me!
