Sorry I have posted same question on 2 other threads but need quick advice....

I have been testing OPK for the last week and last night the test line was almost as dark as the control one. I thought it would definitely be positive today. However today, the test line is a lot lighter...
Does that mean that I have already Oed or can we still BD and catch it or shall we just leave it til next cycle?

My CM is more creamy than in the past few days (sorry TMI)....

Thanks for your help! :worry:

Maybe, or it may have been that your body just needed some LH for some other reason and made some. It uses LH for other things and sometimes you get a pretty dark test without surging.

I would BD just to be in with an attempt.

Thank you so much for your prompt replies.
I have been sick yesterday so perhaps my body needed some LH...

Thanks again lovely ladies xx

You can DTD every 4 days and then you'll catch the eggie and only have one attempt regardless of when you O, which can get messed up on LE diet or when sick... My O is always late/messed up when I'm sick...

Is the lighter OPK today from a different time of day than the darker one last night? Bc hormone levels fluctuate over the course of the day and so you should only ever compare OPKs (or any urine based tests) taken at the same time of day.

If yesterday night WAS your LH peak, you might be Oing today/tonight or tomorrow, or possibly not at all as a positive OPK doesn't guarantee O. Either way, I'd BD today, then keep testing with OPKs for a few days (once daily at the time of day that gives you the darkest line) to confirm that your surge has faded out.

I replied in the TTC Pink March thread, too, and just agreed you should attempt. :)

Thank you, you are right. I'm comparing OPKs from different times...will test again same time as last night....
DTD as DH was home early, so feel a bit better (so to speak lol) - one attempt better than no attempt.

I think we will do that next cycle as testing for OPKs is stressing me out! ( which isn't very pink anyway) and also DH will feel a bit more 'involved'

Ladies, can I just clarify that if we DTD every 4days it means starts day 1 after AF is finished (let's say CD6) and then next BD on day CD10and CD14 and so on?

Should DH FR in between or not?
Sorry for this dumb question - have been trying to find more info on the every4 days' sway but cannot see it anywhere!
Thanks

Hey lavieenrose yes you just BD every four days as simple as that but you don't do Fr as well. That's my understanding:) x
