View Full Version : What week did morning sickness begin?

My preggo brain fails me and it has been 18 months since I last gave birth but when do you experience your first "real- consistent" symptoms?
DS1 I was super tired- I slept all the time and hungry
DS2 heartburn and sleeping all the time, breast tender, hungry.
My 3 losses ( tired/ sleepy, constant spitting, heart burn, breast tender, hungry) one of those babies was a boy.
My twins: (really tired, constant spitting, heart burn, super bloated , breast tender. hungry, thirsty and showed immediately.) loss one and had DS3.
This pregnancy today: 5 weeks + 1 day- super gassy, a little tired, and every once in a while a wave of nausea. I'm not reading into symptoms as an opposite gender- I have read plenty and know enough that symptoms mean nothing when relation to gender.
The reason for my question is more out of concern- When will I feel consistent symptoms. I remember my Old Dr. saying that morning sickness generally =a healthier pregnancy (when I had my second loss) so I'm always on edge when it comes to symptoms and just hoping my little bubba is healthy and growing. I don't have an ultrasound till Friday the 14th when I am suppose to turn 6 weeks and I will defintely be on edge till then.
From what I understand the magic number is weeks 6-8- Not that I want FULL ON MORNING SICKNESS and I sure hope that I am not Jinxing myself by writing this post =) Just would like to know when or what week you started feeling consistent symptoms.
Thank you all!

I've never had actual sickness, just a general yucky feeling. All my sons were healthy. The worst symptoms I have ever had were with the loss I had last month. I was ill, not being sick but tired, no appetite, did I mention tired!? Sore breasts, metallic taste. All from around a week after ovulation. This time, I have my usual appetite, some cramping/sore back. But nothing I would say was a pg symptom. I'm only 4+1 so really early days, but after my pg in January it's strange not having anything so far. Hoping we both have healthy sticky beans growing nicely and being kind to their mamas! Xx

I've got mine full on as early as 5 weeks 4 days! This one I thought I made it to 6 weeks but think I was off 3 days and was still at 5 weeks. It crept in too like everyday would get a little worse so I hung onto hope it would be a regular nausea, but alas I was wrong!!:/

Ms Incredible! Looks like we are due date buddies! I'm the same crampy, tired and gassy - nothing else. I just find that weird b/c with my boys I was feeling all symptoms the moment the test turned positive!
Cocobananas: Thank you. I have been have on and off mild nausea since I last posted- nothing crazy- I knew I would jinx myself! Lol

Mine started at 5 weeks this time and is still going on, although not so bad (but still bad at night most of the time). I don't have super bad MS just nausea and fatigue! It seems each pregnancy has gotten worse and worse for me!

A bit dizzy and yuck feeling today, might just have been too long without food, but that I didn't make myself something makes me wonder if my symptoms are starting! Xx

Funkyfry: I was like you NO sickness with my boys- today my girlfriend called and said I need Zofran- how did you do it? I was like..."oh I was never sick" she is like well "lucky you"...LOL

I was sick w/ all 3 boys (including the one I lost) right from the beginning. With DS1, I felt nauseous before I even tested. That's actually WHY I tested lol! With DD, I didn't start feeling yucky until like 6-7 weeks and even then, it was very mild. With her, it was more the boobs were sore and I was SO tired! I have heard the Old Wives' Tale that girls make you sicker but for me, it was the opposite for sure! This time, I am finally starting to feel better (14 weeks today) but even now, I will occasionally feel just like I did early on! It was the same way w/ DS1 though - up until about 16-17 weeks! Good luck!

With my mc last month I had NO appetite at all, just didn't want to eat, felt so yuck. This time I still don't feel any different @4+5. Boobs a bit tender but not achingly so. Still hungry and eating fine. Bone tired but had a couple of late nights. Eyes shutting today but not sure that's pg related xx

It's official!!!!
M/S has hit- I'm 6 weeks and 1 day. I feel sick all day long, don't throw up but sick..ugh! This is a new symptom but must be because they are twins. My mouth fills up with saliva. My tummy gets bloated at night and feels yucky- like I need to throw up or something- and my eyes can close anytime. How will I get through work like this? I pray this doesn't last long. I knew this thread would jinx me..LOL

Hoping I'm not jinxing myself but I've consistently been feeling better the last few days!! I think my meds are actually doing something as I def start feeling it if I leave a foes too late! I've still been very sick in the night so last night I doubled my dose and other than wacky pregnancy dreams and peeing, I felt good:)
I use diclectin (I think its unisom or something like that in the states?!)
I had to do zofran last time a a diclectin didn't seem to help but this time I think it's working yeah!!! Yah for feeling as close to normal as I can (still not perfect but I'll take it!!)

I too started feeling crappy last night and today. So I made it 6 weeks 1 day. It isn't too bad. As long as I eat small meals without a whole lot of carbs (like half and apple with some chicken) then I am pretty good. I too have the saliva factor which I find gross. Hard to tell what the heck is going on with my boobs since I am still BF. I just need to stay functional!!

I wasn't sick at all, just a little nauseous, with any pregnancy but the twins - and that made up for the other 4!! I was so sick with them that I lost weight the first half of the pregnancy cause I couldn't keep anything down. I was working above a subway and when they put their bread on I would have to sprint to the toilets!! And I couldn't look, smell or cook meat, especially mince and I still can't eat it! I couldn't even clean my teeth without vomiting!!
This pregnancy, although very very early still (I think its officially 4 weeks today) I have had nothing but some cramping. Of course, I'm worried cause Im so symptom free and if it wasn't for the BFP I wouldn't even feel pregnant.

I clocked over to 9 weeks this week, up until then i didn't even feel pregnant, no symptoms whatsoever, but as soon as the 9 week mark hit, I started to vomit once a day in the morning, headaches, acne, bigger boobs, and totally and utterly exhausted.
