View Full Version : Please review my temporary possibly permanant sway plan

Diet: wide margins because if I stick to one calorie count and etc I will get overwhelmed and frustrated
1500-1800 cal a day
40-50g of protein
25-60 calories from fat
2500-3500 potassium
Skip breakfast regularly
Not worried about sodium
1 beer a day (it relaxes me)
Daily Supplements:
Folic acid
Fiber
Af-O supplements
Benadryl or Zyrtec
VG:
Rephresh
Sylk
BD:
Every 4 days
Exercise:
5-6 days a week 60 minutes each day
Ions:
Paint nails 2-3 times a week (I already do that)
Use lavender body wash (I already do that)
For some reason when I paint my nails I feel a lot calmer (more put together) and when I use Yardley London lavender body wash it really relaxes me.
Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.
This will be posted in different sections, I apologize if you see this mutiple times, I know some women tend to respond more in certain sections.
TIA!! :flowerz:
Dh does not know about me swaying... he will more than likely be taking sudafed and zyrtec and benadryl (he has horrible, seasonal allergies (that causes seasonal asthma)) I have not bought as much red meat so he will eat it maybe twice a week. I will see if I can get him to take OLE... for some reason or another

sounds great!!

Sell Dh on the OLE by telling him it helps with the sinuses and such...and it really does! My Dh ALWAYS had sore throats every morning before he started taking OLE and now they are gone.

It looks really good! Unless you have allergies, though, I'd check for an abundance of EWCM close to your attempt and only take the antihistimines the day before and of attempt, if needed.

A lot of us are also taking baby aspirin 2-4 times a week. It acidifies (if that even matters?) and it improves egg quality, so might help get a BFP faster. How long are you planning to do LE before attempt?

Your sway looks a lot like mine :) Hopefully a bunch of pink dust will hit us both in the face!

Thank you, do you look for ewcm as discharge or examine with your fingers. I was planning to avoid aspirin because high doses can send me into a hemolytic crisis, or hemolytic anemia ... (Happened before) I have what's called g6pd deficiency, so I am avoiding certain things. I guess I could ask my doctor if I could take it in low doses for a few weeks. I will be on the diet for about 9 weeks before the first attempt. I have cut out cereal, and a lot of red meat.

Looks really good - good luck! With regards to the OLE you could just tell him it is good for sperm - after all, you are TTC and it does have a grain of truth :)

Regarding your question about checking discharge, I usually get EWCM on the toilet paper after I wipe, I couldnt examine with my fingers but thats just me.

Skip the baby aspirin if there's even a question as to what it might do to your health. Yeah, you can check toilet paper for EWCM after wiping or insert fingers if there's none on your wipe to examine. Good luck :)

Thanks steph :) last time I told him that he said his sperm was perfect as is, he is stubborn lol
Abi, thanks for looking, I hope we both get our girls :)
Thanks Lilith, I'll try with toilet paper and take it hours before bd whether or not I see ewcm.

Hey marriedmumof2 your sway looks great! Mu husband does not know we are swaying either! So far so good he doesn't even notice me skipping breakfast and its easy with pos opk to be like baby making time!! Can I ask your reason not to tell hubby? Mine is super stubborn and he does not believe in all this and he wants another boy- we already have 2 boys!! I'm already outnumbered xxx

My DH is stubborn too, he will do things that is easy for him - for example he likes hot baths so will gladly have a hot shower/bath before an attempt. He is eating 2-3 vegetarian meals a week now without complaining but he will often eat a packet of ham for a snack so these meals dont really make much difference!! He also bought vitamin D tablets in jan and i asked him not to take them but what can you do - they will not listen! Personally I am trying to avoid conflict over it so I think let them do what they can do but in a subtle way so that they dont know. My DH does know I am swaying and sometimes raises concerns such as I shouldnt try to play god (of course I am not - I am doing what I can and god will do the rest, if I am meant to have a boy, I am meant to have a boy and I will love him no matter what). He also keeps commenting that I am too thin and doing too much exercise but so far hasnt told me to stop. Even though he knows I am doing diet and exercise to try to sway for a girl he doesnt always put the two together if that makes sense! He hasnt noticed that I dont eat breakfast at the weekend, I dont think he would be happy if he knew....

Kitkat, he is so stubborn, I mentioned it once before and he thought I was nuts, he said what will be will be no matter what, I agree but there is no harm in trying right. He said that it doesn't work also. He knows I get on here, the website, but he thinks it's just baby related not swaying related so he never says anything about that. I agree though, I am out numbered, two boys a male puppy and a male bunny. Lol

I fell asleep responding to your post. My dh hasn't noticed that I have changed my diet, I got sick last year and drastically changed my eating habits then, only small differences now, he hasn't noticed but he does tell me that i am getting skinny. I have started buying different things so he doesn't say much about the food, he still eats some red meat though, but only a few times a week. Lol @ he hasn't put two and two together! When are you planning on trying?

Have you guys told anyone else? I haven't few friends know we are ttc hoping for a girl they keep sending me Chinese gender charts bless!! But no one knows the lengths I am going too! Don't think my close friends would judge me but they might tell other people etc etc great I have this outlet! Marriedum2 wish I had been so organized your sway plan looks great best of luck xxxxx

Kitkat, dh probably wouldn't be happy if he knew what I was doing and I have no intentions of telling him unless he asks, I'll probably down play it then I know very sneaky. None of my friends know, I want to tell them sometimes but they wouldn't understand, I could tell my two closest friends, I am sure they would be supportive, but they would be skeptical. I need positive thoughts lol not negative ones. Thank goodness for this website and to have women like you all to talk to who understands and share similar feelings.

March 13th, 2014, 09:01 PM
Cool please keep in contact with us!! Sounds like we are in the same boat nice to talk to someone who is being sneaky too fixed we both get our DG but also that we can be just as happy with another wee boy ! How many months till you start your attempt? If you haven't already the sway plan for atomic is amazing for me its the fact she answers your questions really fast and takes the stress out of it all! I put it on our joint credit card and all that comes up is "dream baby" my line was going to be I brought a digital opk online but he never asked ;) xxx

Well i had come off BCP at the beginning of January but no AF yet and no BFP :( - our last attempt was last friday. We are taking a break to ensure I am not PG before taking vitex or something to help bring on AF. Then as soon as we can attempt again we will. We are both 35 so just want to get on with it. I feel pretty stupid as I honestly thought I would be PG by now. I feel like my body is taunting me.

As for friends knowing, I am a rubbish liar and cant keep things to myself so some close friends do know about it. Plus when they have said I look skinny etc, or I have not stood up to DH like I used to I have then said I am trying for a girl. Most people know we want to TTC, a few know we would prefer a girl but would be perfectly happy with a boy and then fewer still know that I am trying to sway (lol no-one has sent me a chinese chart though!!). I wish I hadnt told anyone because it kind of puts a little pressure on you to succeed which is not good for testosterone, but it is what it is I am not a good liar and to be honest I genuinely would be happy with a boy, I would just prefer a girl this time. I am ready for whatever god has in store, I just pray that I get PG soon and for a healthy pregnancy and baby.

I think you guys do right not to tell people, and at least this site exists as an outlet. I am not as open with the friends that know as I am on here. I think if they knew that I visited a website dedicated to it every day they may worry but I find this all so interesting! And nice to chat to likeminded people.

I paid for my plan from my personal account so DH doesnt know. He would not be happy either if he knew I had paid for this but it is so worth it and he wouldnt understand.

March 14th, 2014, 06:38 AM
Kitkat, I will definitely keep in touch, we will start ttc around the second week of June. Dh would ask what is dream baby? Since last year our accounts got hacked he pays close attention because on ended up costing us an entire deposit for a few weeks. Neither of us caused any of it, one was a grocery store we went to and someone hacked and stole a few million credit card numbers and the other was from target, when someone stole all those and charged our cards. I am using cash for most of my swaying products
Steph, that's not fun, I hope something happens for you soon. I can only imagine how you must feel. You are better than I am when some people ask me (like my mother in law) when are we going to try for a girl, I want to say I am working on it so they can stop asking, but I just leave it alone. It really is nice to have a website like this, where we can talk to others who understand and have the same wants, desires, or feelings. I understand being happy with a boy but preferring a girl and having a healthy baby and pregnancy is most important. How many boys do you have now? Do you know if you're done after this, or are you planning on more children?

We have one DS. Such a beautiful little sweetheart. As we are both 35 now, this may be our last baby but I havent ruled out a third. Never thought I would say that as I always used to tell DH that 2 was the limit but I love DS so much I really dont think I can rule out a third just yet!! Maybe the next baby will be a nightmare and I will think I am done lol. Is this your last one now as its the third or are you brave and thinking of more?

Sorry to hear about the accounts being hacked, it is an absolute nightmare, information security these days is terrible. My credit card has been 'compromised' a few times but has always been picked up by the credit card company, thankfully touch wood our bank accounts havent been touched.

Kitkat fingers crossed you have been successful this attempt :)

I think this is it, one more and I am done. The oldest is from a previous relationship (wasn't trying to get pregnant) and the youngest is my dhs but we weren't trying to get pregnant and it was before we got married. My oldest is a breeze he is such an awesome child, my youngest has both mine and dhs attitudes, smart mouths, and stubbornness , I don't know if I could handle 2 more like him lbs.
When you bought your plan did you already know what you wanted to do? As far as supplements, exercise and etc?

Hey guys we have the two 4 and 6 it took me going back to work for DH to agree to a third I guess it took off financial pressure! I like you figured why not try I had terrible GD with DS2 and he is the sweetest loveliest little boy who loves unicorns!!! My older DS is a really boy boy but super smart and creative so I will be cool with DS 3 but seeing as this is my last shot I figured why not try? I lurked on in gender for ages but everyone seemed grumpy and the diet looked impossible!! So glad to find this forum. Married mother totally fair enough its not worth risking the interrogation! We can help you as we are becoming quite knowledgeable and atomic will answer your questions or chime into threads with her expert advice!! Stephk I wish I had tried for a girl for DS 2 but I really would not trade him for anything lucky that you potentially have two shots though xxx,

I went on ingender a few times, after I found genderdreaming, I just didn't really like it.

Just to chime in here, my husband was also unaware of my swaying (he knew I was doing it with DS 4 but did nothing to help), was utterly unsupportive of it, claimed to want another boy, really didn't want another child anyway and we were basically not trying, not preventing - I think he was just trying to go along with me because he didn't think I'd get pg anyway due to my age. So I didn't want to do anything to provoke or aggravate him into pulling the plug on the whole babymaking event.

Sorry for the silence, DS came down with chickenpox on Friday so I haven't been around that much. When I bought the plan I knew I would exercise and knew I would modify diet. Like you, married, I wasn't up for doing an all out sway or including things like douching - yuk. Atomic has been so fab as questions will often crop up or I've felt down or worried about something and she always has pearls of wisdom to allay any fears.

Kitkat I also stumbled across IG before I found this site, I just found the tone a bit weird and I wasn't going to do any of that then I found this brilliant site.

Pretty sure most husbands I read about on here are either doing nothing or just doing what they can be bothered to do. As they don't spend the time on here reading about this they are likely skeptical about it anyway.

Oh no steph, I hope he feels better soon. I understand, I have thought about taking saw palmetto, not sure yet though, because if I include that I will have to include opks or take my temp every morning. I'll have to decide in the next weeks.
hearing about women who sway and get their dream gender without their dhs doing anything really gives me hope that my sway can work :)

Good news ladies, I told dh tonight that I had some pills for him to take the next three months to get ready for baby making, he said "oh lord whatever I am going to sleep" (not in a mean voice, in his whatever you say voice) which means he will do it! His whatever means yes. I had been telling him that they will help with his allergies, which is what I saw online, and Rosie told me (I believe it was Rosie) . He also started taking Zyrtec and Claritin for he allergies, I hope he can keep the Zyrtec going. We shall see!

Well done marriedmomof2 !! That's great news good trickey too bless them. I do the peppermint tea for lowering testosterone AF till O I love it so three strong cups is no problems for me could try that? Stephk your poor little boy :( how is he and how old is he by the way? Just got my BFN well it would be if I tested spotting two days before AF is my normal. Feeling okay just keep telling myself its bound to take longer declining maternal health etc just worried I will lose ovulation my cycles are getting longer and longer and I'm still losing weight although I have upped fat intake and stopped obsessing over my fitness pal! Sorry if that was alot kinda hijacked thread... Just don't have anyone else to talk too :) xxxxx

Hey kitkat, he is 18 months so a good age to get it - I am glad he is getting it out of the way now. I had it about 6 years ago and it was a month of hell. He has had injections for measles, mumps etc so hopefully he will be OK now apart from the permanent colds we constantly get from germ sharing at nursery!

Sorry to hear you are out kitkat but maybe you are not if its just spotting? Not that I am an expert on these things. I am envious if you are getting AF but at least I only have to wait a week now to take vitex or whatever to bring somthing on (hopefully).

Just on the pep tea, that might be the culprit messing up your cycles? I dont want to tell you how to do things and it might not be doing anything at all but I know that it has the potential to mess up your cycles. I drank it last year before starting my sway and I was on BCP and things were going a bit weird, I think it might have interfered with the pill or stopped things from working a bit. When I came off BCP I stopped drinking the pep tea. I incorporated it because I loved it as well. Now I just have the odd cup every now and again. I could be talking utter rubbish so definitely seek advice from atomic or someone who knows what they are talking about.

March 18th, 2014, 10:16 AM
Thanks ladies, please feel free to talk about anything in this thread, I don't mind at all and would love it if you ladies talked about whatever you wanted to in here.
Kitkat, I'm sorry I hope that your body is tricking you and you are pregnant. I could try the peppermint tea, I just don't like tea, hot or cold. My coworker was drinking it so much when she got pregnant with her girl, just about 6 months ago. Yea, I couldn't imagine continuing to lose weight and still no bfp. I hope that it happens soon for you.
Steph, oh he's so little. I hope he is doing much better now. I bet you are, my boys are 9 and 5 and haven't gotten it yet, knock on wood they don't anytime soon. Can you elaborate on things getting weird for you when you were drinking your peppermint tea? I am on bcp as well.

Oh thanks guys! That's why this forum is ace its so supportive!! Stephk your boy is so little how lovely mine are 6 and 4 I am dying for another wee baby to join our house. My boys are 2 years apart and best friends though of course we want a girl for you :) great will deft. Query atomic about peppermint tea. I know I lose ovulation at 110 and I'm 117 so really don't want to lose more I might add in a third small meal. Stephk I think the way you handle the diet is brilliant so healthy marriedmumof2 check out what we are eating thread Steph has great meal ideas xxxxx

When I was drinking pep tea and on BCP I started having 2 periods a month, I would start bleeding 7 days or so before the end of the pack, have a few days of bleeding and then when I had the 7 day pill break I had bleeding, this happened for a couple of months then I came off BCP anyway and now nothing :(

One of the reasons I am OK with another DS is that I know that it will be nicer for my current DS, for selfish reasons I want a girl (mother daughter relationship) but I am sure that DH and DS would prefer a boy and if they are happy that is fine. Not sure if we will try for a third, probably not but I haven't ruled it out yet :)

Thank you for the compliment on the diet. This is the eating thread: http://genderdreaming.com/forum/trying-conceive-girl/39055-january-2014-lets-record-what-we-eating.html

I dont post in the strict ones because this is me being strict lol (most of the time). I was bad yesterday with times and snacks as I was feeling a bit fed up and wanted to eat. Hopefully will do better today as I am working from home. DS is back at nursery tomorrow, he seems a lot better today and apparently isn't infectious from today.

If you want links to any of the products let me know, I get my shopping from ocado (waitrose) but you might be able to find the same/similar wherever you shop.

marriedmomof2
March 19th, 2014, 10:27 AM
Thanks! When I found the thread I just googled a lot of what you were eating lol. I completely understand about being happy with a boy, but to be honest I pray for a girl almost every day if not every day, my relationship with my mother sucked, so I have never had that mother daughter relationship. I want it more and more every day, but if I had another boy I couldn't help but be happy to have 3 boys because my husband has 2 brothers and they are so close it's amazing and weird at times lol.
I wouldn't worry about it, I have a major cheat weekend, our anniversary weekend is coming up in April, dh and I are taking a trip by ourselves I have no intention on staying on the diet 100% that entire weekend. Though I think my eating habits are better now because I make conscious decisions instead of just getting whatever sounds great.
I am not thinking about this peppermint tea, and saw palmetto, I wonder if I could get away with temoing every day instead of using opks.
Glad that your ds is doing better, did he get chicken pox from a child at the nursery?

stephk
March 19th, 2014, 01:45 PM
Yes must have been a kid at nursery - its going to happen, they constantly have colds etc going around. At least he will have a good immune system later in life!!

I wouldn't just temp marriedmum as all sups/le diet can play havoc with your cycle and you don't want to miss your one and only attempt.i use clearblue digital monitor and you get a smiley face when you have lh surge so foolproof and so takes the stress out just my two cents! yes so true. As much as I am enjoying what I am eating, its not natural for me to go for long periods without food, I am a snacker!!

I have requested an appointment with the GP at work as I am not able to take time off to go to my own GP. Atomic suggested that it would be best just to get the medication to bring on AF rather than trying vitex, in case I am one of those people that vitex lengthens cycles for, best not to add fuel to the fire.

married, an anniversary weekend sounds like the perfect time to cheat :) must be lovely for your hubby to have 2 brothers as well, if they all get on thats great. Where are you going, is your DH surprising you?

marriedmomof2
March 20th, 2014, 09:46 AM
kitkat , I think you have something there lol, with the le diet being the cure for GD, I literally laughed out loud in this quiet office lol.
steph, I hope af does come soon, I am really praying that I get pregnant on the first cycle, I don't know if I could go the entire summer on this diet. Oh and we are going to a place we went to before right after we got married. So that will be nice.
Dh did surprise me and told me that we can go to florida for our family vacation, but that will be right when we are to have our first attempt!

married, that sounds lovely going somewhere that will bring back lovely memories. Sounds like your DH has good initiative :)

No I dont work in the medical field, I work in HR in a bank and before I went on maternity leave I was in the investment banking arm. Mostly women in HR but the environment was pretty competitive and although I didnt go for politics or competition, its not me, you do have to influence others, and you are constantly taking on challenges, projects etc. No prizes for guessing that mostly boy mums work there lol. Now I am in a different part of the bank, different less challenging role (dont get me started lol)

I know what you mean about not being on the diet all summer. We are going to start having BBQs very soon, all we do when the weather is good is have BBQs. I normally have fish but even so its pretty extreme eating and it will be weird if I dont partake. Although I am so expert at the diet now I can probably make it work....

Hey ladies, married mother you are six feet tall wow amazing!!!! Wish I had not gone so hard on diet to start with thinking I would get instant BFP both boys conceived first time and now gearing up for third attempt with zero Weight to spare ! So upping calories is good for you. February had a massive amount of first time BFPs so I hope you are one of the lucky ones.
Today the before school check lady told me Charlie was going to be six feet tall plus I'm. 5 6 my hubby 5 8 so I was so proud:)
Vacay marriedmum how exciting relax and enjoy it LE will be like second nature by then.
Stephk I work at an art gallery love it been back almost a year now after taking six years off with boys but I do find the juggling hard, married mum what do you do? AF came today I had the heads up so feeling good got weekend away minus boys and house plans to look forward too. Trying to resign myself to the fact it may take longer.

kitkat sorry to hear about AF. Like you I thought it would be a lot easier than this to get a BFP (last time it took 3 months of perfect timing to catch an egg). I guess it happens when it happens but in the meantime its going to be a hard slog for us all with the delicate balance of not losing too much weight and not being too tempted by lovely food!!!

Working in an art gallery must be lovely, hopefully not too much work stress there?

married, wow 6 feet tall that is amazing for a lady, i feel a short arse now at 5'7" lol

Doctors appt in 30 mins, my test this morning was of course a BFN, so depressing telling me what i already knew! But feeling positive that things will soon be sorted. Bring on the drinking tonight!

just need to come and have a rant somewhere understanding. I saw the work GP, asked for Provera, he said he didnt want to prescribe that without investigating the problem, wanted to refer me to gynacecology. This is through private healthcare as we have insurance. I thought OK fine will try it and with it being private I will at least get an appointment soon. So I called my insurer who will not authorise the appointment, they were so patronising on the phone. So it looks like I am going to have to take time off work to go and see my NHS doctor for the medication I need, this is so ridiculous! I am actually sat at my desk now in tears I am so sick of this. I dont even want the stupid private appointment I just want to take this medication and bring back my periods :(

Steph, I am so sorry, that sucks. I wish I could help in some way. Did they at least give you a reason why they don't want to authorize the appointment? Have you ever looked into Lydia Pinkham? It's a over the counter supplement used to regulate periods.
And yes being 6ft tall used to be annoying now I love it. Believe it or not I love wearing heels and my husband is only 5ft7in. lol. He likes when I wear them too.
Kitkat I hope that you catch an egg soon. Sorry af came. Working in an art gallery sounds like it would be so much fun!
Kitkat I work in the medical field. I work for a Medical school/hospital doing research for infectious diseases (some research studies I work in the lab and see patients and other studies I just see patients).

I do not recommend Lydia Pinkham for anyone. There is stuff in it that may sway blue and other stuff that is not safe for people who are TTC. Save it for menopause.

the health insurance we have doesnt cover fertility treatment, I should have known that really. To be honest I am kicking myself now for not refusing this in the doctors but I only have half a brain now in the morning with no breakfast (even though I must say how much easier it gets as time goes on not to eat and not to be moody through not eating). The doctor told me to say nothing about TTC and this should have set off alarm bells and I should have insisted on the prescription....anyway whats done is done, I now have to wait and see the NHS doctor on thursday. I will be praying that they see sense, want to get me out of their surgery and just write the damn prescription!

You guys sound like you have such cool jobs!

Married, thank you for your suggestion, I hadnt heard of it and Atomic - thank you for sharing your knowledge on it. I will wait for the doctor to prescribe something.

I didn't know that, I had just heard about it in passing, thanks for that I won't mention it again lol :)

Steph, I would have done the same thing, left and then felt like I should have demanded it. My mother in law is a nurse and she is notorious for demanding meds when she needs them, and she is always right in that they fix the problem. Her thoughts are, I am the patient make me feel better, if you don't think it will work just humor me. I hope you appointment Thursday goes well for you.

UK doctors generally don't like to prescribe or refer, generally just don't want to help! Anyway I will try not to dwell now just make sure I don't take no for an answer on Thursday. Wow does a medical background run in the family married, must be really interesting.

Hope you enjoyed those cosmos Steph!! And I feel for you being at mercy of doctors!! I lived in UK for three years so I remember the nhs health system a little and what I do remember is they have alot of patients to see so be demanding :) they will give it to you way quicker or your other strategy be upset hope both works. I like you would just want the medication so you can move on to positive attempts. I felt for you frustrated and crying at work :)
Art gallery is not really stressful until we have big exhibitions then it can be one in a week another in November. I do buying/product development/management of our shop and I love it!!
Married mum your job sounds really interesting and like you would have to be very clever!
Have a good weekend guys off to park with my boys xxx

sounds great Kitkat. I imagine farmers markets are great to take kids to and they can run around :) it has been sunny here too but cold. We had a week of warmth and thats it lol

I had meat and fat all weekend, ate frequently and not very LE style at all apart from managing to skip breakfast and do some exercise!! Well that is what weekends are for to be honest, I am not going to deny myself 7 days a week. AF did not come which I am pretty surprised about as it felt so close, had a BFN yesterday as well, the only reason I tested was due to the drinking. I dont feel AF like at all today but as you say, doctors appointment around the corner.

Its great to be busy at work and in general really otherwise yes, you do end up thinking too much.

Hey there ladies! Glad you had fun kitkat, sounds like it was a great weekend farmers markets are great! We have them here at work, but they aren't fun, it's a medical school/hospital campus so they just come and set for a few hours and then leave lol.
Steph, I totally understand lol. We had ladies night Saturday night so I kind of went over board but oh well. Hoping af comes for you by Thursday that way you won't have to deal with the doctor.
