I usually have my last meal of the day at around 6-7pm. I'm up at around 6am and eat breakfast at 8-9am, which is around 14 hours without food. Is this okay or should I be eating later? I've tried to stretch it later but I start to get nauseous. Any advice would be appreciated!

I think if that's what works for you, and any more breakfast delay will make you nauseous, then that's what you should do.

I am doing about the same, but trying to keep 15-16 hrs of fast.

I usually have last meal (dinner) at 5.30-6.30 pm and then and eat a late (quite small) breakfast at 10-10.30, usually rice crackers with some marmelade or a slice of white toast with low fat cream cheese.

I do have 1-2 cups of coffee (black or with a little skimmed milk) when the rest of the family has breakfast (6.30 am) but I hope that's not considered as a meal.

Skipping breakfast is without doubt the hardest part for me in this diet, I am a breakfast person and always wake up more or less hungry. I have no problems skipping meat or counting calories, but it is tough to work all morning on empty stomach.

Tried to answer this thread but it didn't seem to work so I'll write a short version again :-)

I am doing about the same. Have early dinner at 5-6 pm and then try to get 15-16 hours of fast. Have a smaller breakfast (rice crackers with marmelade or a slice of toast) at 10-11 and then lunch at 12-13. I do have 1-2 cups of coffee with rest of the family at breakfast time 6.30 but I hope that doesn't affect my blood sugar too much.

Skipping breakfast is the toughest part of swaying for me - I wake up hungry so every hour until I can have something is really hard.

I have my dinner at 8pm then try to eat breakfast no earlier than 1030am so thats the same - 14 hours. You have to do what works for you. Atomic recommends anywhere between 12-16 hours so 14 is great!

Wow dreaming!! I can't believe you were worried about pigging out on your birthday if you are managing to do that!

I think if you're nauseous then definitely eat. I don't find skipping breakfast the hardest anymore but the first week or so I just really wanted it. I think it was more the fact I 'couldn't' have it that made me want it more! xxx

I eat dinner at about 4:30 in the (late) afternoon. When I get up DH does the kids breakfast and I go to the gym 6:20-7:40 by the time I get into work by 10am I am starving so I often eat my 'lunch' then. So I eat twice, at 10 and 4:30 ish, I hope thats good enough of a stretch. On the 3 days I dont work i can stretch to nearer 11/12 sometimes later. I just find I cant concentrate or get on at work if I dont have something, I just sit there and think about food!

I think if your feeling nauseas then your blood sugar is dropping, which is the whole idea of skipping breakfast right?

The specifics do not matter and you do not need to do what anyone else is doing, only what works for you. This can even change from day to day. What matters is you have a nice long run with no food coming in AND also that you are not so miserable and sickish that you can't function. I don't want anyone to get so caught up in a particular schedule that you are ignoring the needs of your body and your life as a whole. this is meant to be an easy and flexible diet!

Yes, but we want it to be as painless and easy to do as is possible because misery is a recipe for cheating, and is not necessary anyway.

I would sure love to see you add in a 3rd meal.

Remember ladies, it's 2 or 3 meals - some people like big meals less often, others like 3 more often, and both are 100% allowed and fine on LE.
