My OB tried to remove my IUD on June 15..alot of poking a probing later..He couldn't get it and I have to have day surgery this Monday...I ovulated right around the around the 13 to the 15....Now I had some spotting yesterday.....nothing today....Its too early for my AF....If I didn't have the IUD I would think its implantation bleeding....I wonder if there is anyway my IUD is not in the proper place and there is a possibility that I got pregnant.....I have to take a test before my procedure anyway...maybe I will do one tomorrow for fun.....I think my imagination is running away with me...lol....

You can get pg with IUD, esp if OB tried to remove it, it's probably not in the right place anymore.
Keep us posted!!!!

I would definitely test just so you can stop wondering! My good friend got pregnant with her Mirena in at the same time I got pregnant with DS3 but it is very rare.

Me again! Is it the Mirena that you have? I had no bleeding whatsoever for the first year of having mine but from that point onwards I had very random spotting as well as a regular period. It was truly annoying!

Thanks for the info about the spotting....I have had my IUD for a little over 2 yrs and I have never had any....I started getting periods around 6 months ago after not having them for a year....I do have a Mirena....

That's funny that you had nothing for a year and then started getting periods too. Did you by chance have it inserted fairly soon after giving birth too? I was never sure if it was the breastfeeding or the Mirena keeping my periods away but I got periods back very early with the other 2 babies (only a matter of weeks even though I was exclusively bfing). The first period on Mirena lasted for weeks!!

Have you decided whether to test?

I would call just to be on the safe side because I believe the IUD can perforate the uterus and cause an infection. Praying that all is well.

I called today and they want me to test and they will do a
Preg test on Monday. They spotting stopped and I have no cramping
I have to go in and get an ultrasound.

I did get it right after birth and breastfed my son for a year.
I hope nothing else goes wrong with this iud. I am already so frustrated
