Hi ladies! I know that V and SP can cause you to ovulate later than normal so my question is should I stop it a few days before my normal O and then start doing ovulation tests or stop on the day of O. Just wondering everyone's experience. Did it delay your O a lot or once you stopped the supplements did it happen as normal?

Drop it a couple of days before expected O. Vitex messed my cycles up, but sometimes in swaying, a cycle that is different than usual is a good thing

I wasn't getting regular O anyway the first time I took it and it seemed to restore it for me.

The second time, I found that it would delay O if I was taking it when I expected ovulation, but if I stopped it a couple days before it would come, sometimes it took an extra couple days beyond what I expected.

Then, the month I ended up getting pregnant, I had a really light AF for the second month in a row and I just felt like eh this is taking too much of a toll so I did not take it that month. And O came about 2-3 days early that month.

Did your cycle ever go back to normal? I'm freaked out. I took vitex last cucle for 14 days. I had horrible mood swings, acne, and was extremely tired everyday. I usually o around cycle day 18-19. I stopped day 14 and didn't ovulate til cycle day 21! 😭 no more vitex for me considering the side effects and later ovulation. after having my period since we didn't get pregnant last month I had a 5 day period and spotted everday til yesterday which was cycle day 17!! No signs of o yet and I'm so upset I'm afraid I messed things up fôr good. Any thoughts ladies?? Will my cucle go back to normal?!

So after I finally Oed last cycle I started taking the Vitex again, 4DPO. I had decided to take a TTC/sway break so I also went off the diet at the same time. I figured while on break I might as well see what more time on Vitex would do if I took it continuously. Well lo and behold, this month I Oed right on schedule for me, on CD17! I'm not sure if going off the diet is a factor as well, but I will keep taking the Vitex when I start back on the LE diet when AF comes so I can figure that out.

My first Vitex AF (after 2 weeks on it) was very normal for me, light and short. My second Vitex AF (after 6 weeks) was much heavier than I've had in years for the first 2 days, but still only 3-4 days long in total. I have been concerned that my AF is TOO light so I was pleased by that. I do typically spot extremely lightly for 1-3 days before AF and Vitex has not changed that.

The LE diet cut my 11-day LP down to 8-9 days, but Vitex brought it back to 11 days (after almost 2 weeks) and then the next month up to 13 days (after almost 6 weeks). I am hoping to have a 13-14 day LP this cycle.

I know several other ladies who had late/delayed O after the first month on Vitex, but the next month O returned to normal. What I wonder is whether it's better to conceive in that first fucked up month or after more time on the Vitex, in terms of swaying pink?

My temps this cycle have been different (last month's were too, as opposed to my pre-Vitex temps) and I had NO EWCM (first time ever to my knowledge that I've had an ovulatory cycle without it) and barely any watery CM, it was mostly a thin creamy CM. My nipples/breasts have been the most sore/tender they have ever been, even worse than when I am pg! And normally I have no such post-O symptoms at all.

The problem is, ladies, that it may very well be the late ovulation or a side effect thereof that is swaying pink. I really really hate to see people drop vitex because it "made them ovulate late" (CD 21 is NOT late and still in normal range) when that is probably part of how it works.

Vitex hasn't been getting that great of results so anyone can of course feel free to leave it out, but I just want to be very clear that it's entirley possible the delayed ovulation is just part and parcel of how it operates.

My LP was 14 days (just got AF 2 days ago), the longest it's been since before I started swaying, and I had NO spotting at all. My post O temps were also the highest they'd ever been and kept rising until the day before AF. I had an almost textbook cycle, other than Oing on CD17. I feel the 2 months on Vitex must be at least partially responsible.

I have beeen eating more LE-friendly for the past 1-2 weeks so it will be interesting to see if that changes things this cycle. I have also been taking 4000 units Vit D daily for 6 weeks and will continue that until I go back to the LE/swaying strictly again.

I'll update further once I O...I hope earlier this month!
