Well I saw a Dr this morning and he said that charting my temps were the only way to see if I ovulate. I said I couldn't do that as I'm up every 2 hours to pee and my temps wouldn't be accurate. He said testing vaginally was most accurate and getting up during the night wouldn't effect it....is this true?
If so I will be doing that from now on to see how my temps go over my ovulation.

I thought you needed a solid block of sleep despite how you take it, but I could be wrong! It def would not hurt to start a chart anyway :)

I've just started temping and I'm awake every 2-3 hours to nurse a baby...LOL I just set my alarm clock for 6am and if I wake a bit before that time(to nurse) I'll just take it at that time(knowing I've had a little block of sleep at least). Otherwise I just take it at 6am. I've talked to other NFP users and they all breastfeed and take oral temps. Most have said that you can see a clear ovulation shift and highly recommend doing it even if you have many night wakings. Good Luck!!

Thanks girls, i will give it a go and see if i do notice changes with my temp. Maybe i could buy another thermometer and check orally too and see if they're the same in the mornings.

Supposedly vaginal temping is more accurate even if you're up a lot in the night.
