I am currently on a progesterone pill and I am wondering how it affects people when they are ready to conceive???

Did you get prego right away?
Do they sway?

Anything else I should know?

Like right away or within a few months.

I am hoping to conceive in the fall 2015 but I want to wait for just the right time to get off the pill. If all goes to plan I would have a baby a month after getting my BS degree.

Got my BFP first month off BCP (POP) and hoping for a DD. I think (please correct me if I'm wrong) the way they sway has to do something with the way they mess your cycles or making things dry down below. :)
Good luck!
When are you planning on swaying?

Purple have you ever been on BC and come off to conceive before? I have had friends who have a hard time getting their cycle back and others ovulate no problem. Hard to say since everyone is different.

I had my first DD 6 months after going off the pill, and then my second DD a month after I stopped

Just to add in my experience, when I came off the pill to conceive DS, normal cycles resumed immediately. When I came off the pill on 10th January this year to TTC, I had nothing until last night - that's a cycle of 95 days and I am guessing this isn't the result of O, but perhaps breakthrough bleeding. You might be lucky and get your cycle immediately but I just wanted to say I wasn't lucky this time around (I blame being on birth control for such a long time). Everyone is different if course - good luck :)

I was on the mini pill for approximately 17mths and it took 3 months to get my cycle back. Any other time I was on the 'regular' pill I would immediately start my period. They say the mini pill is less effective in protecting against pregnancy and to take at the same time everyday and for me it was the opposite. I was freaking out and went to my MD to get my hormone levels checked which ended up being fine but I refused to take it with my DS2 partly for that reason (and a few others).

DS1 was while on an estrogen pill and days before AF, DS2 was 1mth after IUD fell out, and DS3 only happen because I gave up after many many cycles of trying a sway.

I didn't ovulate for almost 6 months after coming off the pill, cycles were a mess. I know most women don't have that issue but it can happen.

I have people come off the pill, start doing OPK, and then try to catch the first egg if possible. It's been pretty difficult for people to get pregnant that way, but on paper it should sway somewhat pink.

Do not use any hormonal supps (vitex, sp, pep tea) until AF after you have ovulated the first month comign off the pill. and i'd go easy on jelly and antihistamine to improve odds that you will be able to get pregnant that first month.

Don't be sad or shocked if you dont' get pregnant that first month and also it may very well be that your ovulation is very delayed.

Since it has been such a PITA I no longer recommend going onto the pill just for swaying, this is for people who are on it for birth control to begin with.

Are there any stats on what gender ladies have conceived when an unplanned pregnancy happens on the pill? I'm on a mini one at the mo (Noriday) and thinking of taking a test as it has messed up my cycle and I just want to make sure I'm not

I concieved my first daughter right off the depo shot and my middle daughter after missing a birth control patch. My youngest daughter was concieved after no period or birth control for a little over a year. 😊

I think progesterone sways pink, so if you conceive soon I think it will be a girl.

I'm not sure if progesterone in and of itself sways pink OR if it's the effect of longterm use of supplemental hormones on the cervical crypts that make EWCM. I would not rely on the idea of prog swaying pink for your sway. :)

Thanks, I'm not pregnant anyway. AF finally arrived. That is good though, I'm over the wanting to 'accidently' get pregnant. I'm busy enough right now! Good to know for the future, just in case

I really want to know this, too. I conceived twice on BCPs (combined, not progesterone only) in my early twenties, despite perfect use. I discovered I actually still O on the pill, but I have ZERO CM of any kind. Seems like a good sway tactic but I think I will try straight off the pill instead.
