12 week scans, boy or girl nub? Please help

Hi everyone, so glad I found this site!

Attached here are pics from my wife's 12 week embryo stage. The first two were taken on the same day. In the first picture, the one where it looks like a little cartoon alien smiling as it jumps with its arms and legs in the air (LOL), you can see it obviously has both legs wide open and in the middle there are what looks like two nubs right next to each other.

The second pic (which still looks like an alien) is a close up and shows the baby with one leg up in the air while smirking at the camera. can't see those two alleged nubs anymore.

Now, the 3rd picture was taken 4 days after the first two. You can see some sort of bright white line in the genital section. This time its only one where as in the very first pic (with legs up in the air) there were two side by side. Maybe there are still two there but since this angle is from the side, you can't see the second one?

I'm hoping for the "G" word but I'll let you guys have a look...

Really? Oh wow :) How did you tell tho? Because I was looking at that, trying to see if there was a "fork" at the end of the white line on the 3rd pic but couldn't see it.

It looks to be a straight line in line with the spine and didn't look to have any rise in the end. It is quite early still so is room for movement BUT for right now it looks girly :-)

50/50 guess for me, that looks like on the edge for either.

Do you know exactly how far along your wife was in the last pic? Also, how far along bub was measuring then?

Abi, maybe I'm wrong but could it be because the baby is laying on a "curve", it gives the impression of a "rising" nub? I mean I tried tilting that picture to the right to make it appear as if its back is on a flat surface and I was able to see what bunny was talking about with the nub being aligned with the spine.

but if I look at the image as it is, which is basically showing the baby to be slightly curled up laying down then it looks like there's a rise.

the first two were taken at approx 12 1/2 weeks. The third was exactly 4 days later. Thanks lol, I still can't get over how animated and funny it looks.
