If I am planning to ttc in August and am overweight, could clean eating also be consider HE dieting if I were to make sure to get natural carbs and protein with each meal still? I really want to start a boy friendly diet asap in case DH decides to just "go for it" which sounds like something he would do, but I don't want to end up enormous before I even get my BFP at the same time. Also, I had diet controlled gestational diabetes with DD2, is this something a personalized plan/diet could address if I purchased one? Thanks for any advice in advance!

I definitely recommend the personal plan!

When I conceived my DS I was maintaining my weight using a clean paleo diet. If you drop weight now using a meat heavy clean diet you have plenty of time to try to maintain weight by the time August rolls around.

Thanks bluebonnet! Paleo is basically the caveman diet, right? I keep thinking about the personal plan, DH would die if he knew how much I'm going to spend on a personal plan, but I think it would be well worth the money. Seems like the success rates are really good.

AshJagla - yes, paleo is basically caveman diet. When I follow it strictly I lose 3-5 lbs a week and feel great! I think dropping processed carbs and upping meat, fish, veggies, fruit is a healthy way to eat and hopefully sways blue. Everyone I know on the diet has boys!

I would definitely recommend the personalised plan. If you end up not getting though then clean eating is the way to go, lots of healthy carbs and healthy fats. Brown rice, quinoa, sweet potatos are some good carbs, avocados, almond butter stuff like that for healthy fats. Lots of veggies!!

Best of luck

Shoot this sneaked past me!

Yes I can address that in a custom plan and work with you on diet.

I have an essay here http://genderdreaming.com/forum/ttc-boy/22670-eating-smarter-not-harder-blue.html that may help and I strongly urge you increase exercise if at all possible...cardio 4-5 days a week, weight lifting 4 days a week, arms 2 days, legs 2 days (a couple days you may need to do both cardio and weights, and just do arms those days.

Before you spend anything I do want to be clear that the plans don't address diet, they're everything BUT diet and then some diet tips. But it comes with the coaching and then I help you every step of the way for 6 months with diet. It's a better way to do it than having to follow a canned diet plan that a stranger makes up for you! :)

also in this thread http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/9052-swaying-under-special-circumstances-part-3-pcos.html there is an alternate diet called "atomic fertility diet" and has some variations for blue swayers with blood sugar issues. This will work much better for you than the straight HE and we can tweak it to be more condusive to weight loss.
