Big O Question when TTC PINK

I know that when TTC Pink you should avoid Big O because it increases PH. I was wondering if you should also avoid Big O others times of the month (even when not ovulating) to keep PH levels down? Or does it matter?

My thinking is, it can't hurt, so why not.
