Hey all!!

I have lost half my body weight since my RNY gastric bypass in June 2013. I am down to 150lbs. I go to see if I still have signs of PCOS, check my ovulation, and have my mirena moved next Thursday. I have always been on a multi-vitamin because it is essential since RNY patients don't absorb enough nutrients through food. My OB had me switch to a prenatal vitamin recently. (an extra, extra folic acid). However, I know that Prenatals, multi vitamins, and DHA all sway BOY. I have my little boy and really long for a daughter. SO my question is... should I stop multi vitamins and/or prenatals? When I had my son I wasn't taking any vitamins at all, but he was well before I ever had the RNY... Any advice would be wonderful!! Thank you!!!!

If you're about to start swaying girl, maybe just take plain folic acid (I was taking 1600-2000mcg) rather than the prenatals (because of the vitamin part of it - diet should take care of the rest!) then when you fall pregnant swap to prenatals. Hopefully your weight loss should also sway girl for you. FX you get your BFP soon! x

What I will say is possibly pm Atomic Sagebrush and see if there's anything else she'd have/not have you do (give her a few days - she's a busy lady!) Because you've had a GB done, there may be extra things you may need to take into consideration. Good luck! x
