Hello :) :)

I am just over five weeks away from my attempt and started jogging/walking on a treadmill for 60 mins a couple of days ago. I am not in shape as I haven't worked out in years.

I strained my groin yesterday and I wondered if just fast walking would be ok.

What kind of exercise and for how long are you doing?

60 min of fast walking is ok (not ideal, but ok) for pink IF you are losing weight on a low everything diet and have a few months in which to lose muscle mass, but since you're so close to your attempt, I am worried that you won't have enough time to wait out the rise in testosterone levels that can sometimes come from beginning a moderate exercise program.
