Real EW

You'll see, they suggest to use glob of EW, but wouldn't that be too much? From my experience (5-6 cycles ago) even 2-3 ml feels like too much :suprise: Not to mention how much it slips out :rolleyes:

ZB we didn't use them but I did try inserting some once, just to check it out ... and yes, the glob REALLY is a MESS! I think it was Lola who mentioned sitting on the toilet while inserting, then having a big O to suck some up in there. Maybe that is something you can try?

Just use 1 or 2 ml no need for more . There is no way I can have O on the toilet so I would just lay on the bed and you only have to put in the ew right before DH is ready to "go" so it's not like you have to have it in before the whole bd.

i tried this also...and used teh same site for reference. what i did was use the children's medicine dropper upto like 4 ML i think (sort of less than that). i laid down on a towel and insert very slowly very slowly so that the dropper was WAY up in there (and i dont like putting things up there so it took a few min to adjust and get used to teh feeling). then when i felt thati coundt go any further (without "hitting anything"), i gently squeezed it out. then lay there a while and had an O. then layed down a little longer (like 2-3 min) and it didnt really fall out. then when i peed some came out. i thought it was lost in there forever. i think when she says to use the glob, *i* assumed she meant to use the thicker part of the EW, not the runny. and so what i did was scoop up the thicker EW and dumped the rest, then sucked up some glob in the dropper and squeezed out until i reached a little less than 4ml.

However I ended up NOT using real EW bcos I had (some) EWCM with great pH of almost 8 :cool:
If I get another BFN, I'm using real EW next cycle for sure!

I agree with Flava, you can O beforehand and then insert the EW. The idea that the cervix sucks up semen or EW was debunked some time ago but keeps hanging around as tenaciously as Dr. Shettles. http://infertility.about.com/b/2009/05/27/can-female-orgasm-help-you-get-pregnant.htm.

on the part 2 video around 1:16 she talks about using the 'sticky part or the glob.'

but i questioned that too. id think the sperm would travel better in the runny part in case they get "stuck" in the glob! hahahh

That doesn't make any sense to use the glob part! I'm gonna re-watch that. I remember on IG being told to use the runny part, that may be where my (brainwashed) idea comes from.

If the glob is closer to the natural texture EWCM, then I think the globby stuff would be better.

IG may want you to use the runny stuff because they believe it to be better at raising pH, not because it's better for getting pg. The clip is about upping odds of pregnancy, not swaying, I suppose???

Yes, I think T put that in the e-book for ew instructions. I can't remember why I thought the runny was better? Just seems logical, I guess. I don't have much of the hanging ewcm anymore, so I am not sure what my natural consistency is.....would you just go with mixing it up maybe? I may use some now since I'm about to try Clomid.

I prob. wouldn't mix it up because I would be afraid the foamy texture would interfere with the swimming of the sperm.

I do think that with Clomid, the EW are a good idea.

Hi ,
i have used ew before couple times and yes they are messy. this time i plan to use them but very lil like 1 ml, since everytime they come out afetr i pull out the dropper. i usually have my feet up when i insert them.

Dh obviously does not like it as he thinks the(TMI) vag becomes slippery and there is not much friction for him to feel.
don't people use it for lubrication? i did get ewcm but still use ew for extra and i don;t see my ewcm at all times when i wife off.

Does anyone know if it would help to put EW immediately after BD or is that not preferred???

From what I remember, you don't want to put it after BD because that way spermmies are going to swim the wrong way.
Maybe with 1 ml it won't be so slippery?

Yes, don't put it in afterwards because it will for sure dilute and wash out some semen, and if there is anything to the idea that sperm "like" high pH they may be more attracted to the egg whites and swim in the wrong direction.
