Another Dtd question/advice

Hi all. I am currently on day 14 of my 1st clomid cycle. I took clomid days 3-7 and read you should hopefully ovulate a week later. i have never ovulated earlier than day 18 prior to clomid. According to opk, I have no sign of a darkening line. We have not been Dtd, just dh release 2-4 days like atomic suggested. I have a sonogram tomorrow to see what is going on. Do I still hold out on Dtd? I was going to try the every 4 day rule to make sure I don't miss it but I'm afraid now if I Dtd, I may get a positive opk before 4 days. I know I over analyze and stress and probably just increase my chances of blue but figured I'd ask. Thanks girls.


*updated. I'm on day 15 and just had an ultrasound. I have a follicle that needs to get a little bigger and they are hopeful I will ovulate in a few days. So do I still wait for that positive opk? Also, a little tmi but I had a little ewcm today. Isn't that bad for my sway? What do I do?

Do OPK's usually work for you? If so, I'd wait for a positive OPK. If you normally have issues with them I'd DTD tonight and again in 4 days.

I have the bulk pack of cheap ones. I have gotten positives before. It's been a while since I stopped ovulating but in the past, yes they worked. So I guess hold out?

Hi Pinkdaisy,
I'm on my third clomid cycle and also took it days 3-7. I'm also on day 14 today! I've learnt that charting my temp and OPK's aren't reliable for me especially on clomid so have just be BD'ing every four days. We started day 5 this cycle though so have had 3 attempts already. I am praying praying PRAYING I ovulate this month and finally fall preg.

Thanks for your response. Glad we are on the same page. The doctor suggested clear blue easy digital for ovulation tests. I might try those and hope for the best. Good luck!

Wait for OPK, IMO! Are you testing in the afternoon? Some women will O late (after CD14) even on Clomid, regardless of dose. It could be any day, but you should get a nice strong OP.

Thanks! I'm testing now am and pm with cheapies. The doc suggested fmu with the clear blue ones. So I think I will start tomorrow(day17). As of now, still negative on cheapies. I'm getting antsy, nervous, yet hopeful. Trying not to stress
