Hi!
... back again after a few month. And I will sway for a little girl again!

I join a german forum where girls discuss a method to conceive girls (suggested by two gynecologists; one is actually pregnant with a girl).

They suggest to use a diaphragm (called lea contraceptivum) - without this sperimcide gels.
You have to insert the diaphragm a few hours prior O. Then you dtd (even several times) and 4 hours after O you remove the diaphragm.
The idea is, that Y-bearing sperms have to wait in acidic environment and are kind of limited.
Due to the gynecologist consistantly girls resulted.

What do you think????? Have you discussed that already?

Yes, discussed it a few times way back when. Lots of people (doctors included) have observed diaphragm failures are often girls. I personally no longer believe the pH really matters much and it's instead a matter of sperm numbers. This is def. a way to lower sperm numbers and could potentially sway pink, but my concern is firstly that it will really lower odds of conception by quite a bit and then secondly if you're having more than one attempt, it may end up inadvertently swaying blue (we have found that one attempt seems to sway strongly pink for reasons we do not understand)

So, if you want to give it a try, I would be prepared for BFN's and not use too many additional sway tactics , and do stick with one attempt.

Atomic... What about the sponge? I just remembered that is something you can buy at walmart I believe? Would it aid in killing sperm & lowering count to have a girl? Or would it lower odds of pg too much?

I use a diaphragm for pregnancy prevention (with spermicide) you do not have to put it in a few hours before DTD, you can put it in and have sex right away. My dr instructed me to leave it in 6 hours, so taking it out after 4 could result in a pregnancy. It does require a prescription (and in office fitting) and there is a learning curve to inserting it--it goes quite deep. I think it would take a long time to get pg and it definitely isn't a magic bullet for pink. Used to cost about $45 but now on Obama care contraceptives are always free (diaphragm included)

You can buy the TODAY sponge over the counter. You get it wet and it contains spermicide to kill sperm. I think its 80 something percent effective so it would take a long time to conceive this way and again it's not a magic bullet. It's about $12 for 3. My husband had a terrible reaction to it, FYI.

I defienetly would not rely on the diaphragm or sponge alone when ttc pink. Diet is still very important and exercise is getting great results. One attempt and alcohol are also newer and doing well.

I think all these things lower odds of conception too much.

If I thought they were good methods then I'd include them in sway plans. I am here to help get the max. number of baby girls, not some miniscule number of people baby girls.

FWIW and sorry for TMI but I played around with the diaphragm method the first couple months when TTC my daughter but never got pg.

Hi!
Thanks for your input ladies!!

@myurkanin81: Here in Austria you do not need a prescription for a diaphragm.

I am considering to use an instead cup instead because a diaphragm is quite expensive (about 60 Euros). Yes, maybe is will not be easy to get pergnant. But I will give it a try and will let you know! ;-)

... will give it a try with
- one shot around O; - LE diet; - vitex; - MG; - cranberries; - DH FR + licorice root

dynazyme please be very very careful with diet, because if you go on several months not getting BFN, you may end up stopping ovulation if you diet too strictly.
