Hi ladies,
I currently have a 8 month old boy and just found out I am pregnant. I find out Tuesday how far along I am and my due date. I have been reading online that most of the time if the kids are less than 18 months apart they are usually the same gender?? Is this the case for most of you? We're you breast feeding as well? I thought our bodies and the sperm determine the gender but that doesn't seem to be the case with this theory I'm reading. TIA

First off congrats! I breastfeed and got pregnant with 3 of my boys.
I got pregnant when DS4 was 10 months old.
Pregnant when DS 5 was 18 months.
Pregnant when DS 6 was almost 2 years old.

You still may get a girl good luck!

Thank you kittybear and congrats on your blue bundle that's on the way. I wouldn't trade my son for anything in the world.

Hi. Congratulations on your happy news.

That's not one I've come across on this site before. I'm interested to know where you read that?

No, that old chestnut is completely untrue and I believe closer spacing and breastfeeding = more girls conceived as a general rule.

Thank you loobylu. I didn't come across it on this site just online in general.

Good to know Atomic I figured it was untrue but then so many people said it happen to them so I was curious. Either way I am happy with the outcome:bigsmile:
