2-3 day cutoff

This is our first month TTC and my question is this. I'm wanting to do a 2-3 day cutoff 1 attempt.

That day DH will release in a.m. and possibly during lunch, then hot shower before attempt, during attempt shallow release with a J&D.

Sooooo how do I know *when* I will O? I've started OPK's and I have an app that charts and keeps track of stats. I personally like it better than FF.
Today is my CD12

The pictures are the OPK I took this morning and the app, to show I'm beginning my fertility week. The app suggests that I should have the highest LH surge the 21st.

I'm thinking attempt tonight or tomorrow evening.... Any advice?

you don't. kind of the huge and undeniable downside of the cutoff method.

if your cycle stays the same this month, hey great use it. but unless they have invented an app with the ability to predict the future, there is no way to know if it is anything other than a wild guess.

I'd just do OPK and see if it matches with the date of your attempt as decreed by app.

This is my first month charting. Previous to this month I was on BCP and didn't think using opks and charting would be accurate.

I would just attempt when you get your positive OPK, which is when the test line is either 100% equal to or darker than the control line.

I'm with atomic. Coming off BC you have no way of knowing when you might O regardless of the app. I would definitely temp and use OPKs and forget about doing a cut-off, though if you DTD right at positive OPK you may get lucky and achieve a 2-3 day cut off anyway. You would need to have a very regular cycle and months of charting experience to be able to accurately predict O.

then there is absolutely no way an app could predict even remotely when you will ovulate.

Cut offs don't guarantee gender anyway. My son is a 4-5 day cut off (not 100% sure of O day). I seriously thought there was no way is get pg. DTD once at +OPK relieved a lot of boy swaying stress and ensures one attempt in your fertile window.

I have 3 boys with cutoffs too :agree: Got my DD from one attempt at pos OPK

We ended up DTD at my +OPK. The following morning I got a - OPK. I guess I'm now in my 2WW.... I suck at waiting LOL
