View Full Version : What are your personal TTC Pink "magic bullets"?

While there are no such things as magic bullets, I think we all get a little supersticious at times and convince ourselves that certain elements can "make or break" a sway.
I'm just barely dipping my toes in the water of LE diet, but I worry that I eat too much protein (I freakin' LOVE peanut butter!).
I also worry that if I don't cut the LE diet down to "perfect" for long enough (like 12+weeks) that it is doomed to fail.
I also worry that if I can't start exercising enough, (right now I do nothing) for long enough, that'll ruin it as well!
I also plan to stay the hell away from PreSeed! TTC for 4 months, on the 5th month we used PreSeed and BAM! DS! So I am avoiding it like the plague!
I'll also completely freak out if we get PG our first attempt. I'll assume that means we didn't lower fertility enough.

What are your "magic bullets" that you feel will make or break your sway?

LE vegetarian (with cheats, of course, to keep you from going crazy,) one hour minimum of cardio 5-7 days a week, one attempt at +OPK. Baby aspirin and fiber supps are almost effortless and can't hurt, either :)

Why the baby aspirin?

It supposedly makes you "acidic" (who knows if that sways?) but mostly because it helps with implantation. A lot of pink sways fail because women are tired of being on the diet and they start dropping their best sway tactics that are hard to keep up (like diet and exercise.) So anything that helps you conceive on your first attempt without swaying blue sounds like a keeper to me!

I'm going to say exercise. I personally did a reverse sway, I thought I was swaying for my boy, but I actually swayed for my DD (who was my first). I don't exercise and my diet is normally VERY boy friendly, but I lost 20+ lbs and was exercising like a mad woman for 3 months before getting my DD.

What brand Opk's did you use?

I think it is the one attempt at + opk with diet, fiber and exercise. Hopefully my miscarriage will also help me. On my dh's side...The ole.

I'd say:

LE diet
Exercise
1 attempt at +OPK
OLE for DH
Cinnamon, baby aspirin, and fiber for me

I used internet cheapie OPKs and I would not recommend them. I never got a positive. We just DTD when they started getting lighter, and I ended up pg anyway!

After 2 failed sways full if ions and cut offs and FR and different vag potions, and antihistamines etc etc, if/when we sway again I'm keeping it simple:

Vegetarian LE Diet with 1-2 drinks/day 12 weeks
60 mins cardio daily 8 weeks
One attempt at +OPK
Folic acid, Fiber, baby aspirin

THATS IT!!!

There are no magic bullets, but I also got my daughter with one attempt and LE Diet. MY husband was smoking and only time he ever did that with any of our conceptions.

LE diet - vegetarian, 1200-1500 cals and low fats, especially minimal saturated & monounsaturated fats
At least 1 hour cardio nearly daily
One attempt
Clomid
Fasting (overnight, for example)

I do think diet + 1 attempt are most important.

Hi, when people say "one attempt" do you mean one ovulation cylcle with lots of intercourse or only having intercourse once per ovulation :) thanks!

I really believe diet (for me this was a over all low cal diet with low nutrient foods), lack of exercise, alcohol, one attempt, and less stress from work are what worked for me. My boys I ate well, exercised (moderate cardio and weights), had a stressful job, didn't drink, took vitamins, etc. with my boys. Didn't do any of that with the girls.

I didn't have any "can't" have foods. If you want peanut butter eat the crappy Jiff and have a limited amount once or twice a week. I still ate foods that I knew weren't pink friendly however, I ate a small amount and only on occasion.

One intercourse attempt per ovulation cycle. This is usually coupled with DH doing frequent release or with abstaining.

just one unprotected intercourse per ovulation.

It is not abnormal for it to take 6-9 months to get pregnant when swaying pink, and no one should ever expect BFP the first month trying.
