Struggling with the diet. Want to pig out on chocolate cheese cake tonight! Not just a little slice, but until I can't eat any more.

Yum! I would too! Doing this every now and again will not hurt! Even once a week wouldn't hurt- enjoy :)

I remember seeing something about how it was ok now and to cheat, but feel like this is sabotage lol I've managed to stop breakfast and cut most of my snacking. I want to lower fat and meat intake too.
I only stated this month so hopefully will get better.

Honestly you are fine to eat cheesecake or any other cheat! I do the diet pretty cool Monday to Thursday then the rest of the time do my best but weekends are for cheating :)

Maybe have 2 small bites, or none at all? I find it harder to restrain myself if I eat more (a normal serving) of treats.

Yeah I'm rubbish at moderation, my diet very clearly indicates why I have 4 boys lmao

I must admit I've done really well and just not bought all the treat stuff I usually would have. But I still find myself standing and staring into the food cupboard as if I'm going to find something. Then I close it and walk away. But we have my brother in law and his kids coming to dinner tomorrow so I bought desserts, and had a momentary lapse of judgement while shopping and popped an extra dessert in the basket. I probably won't have any tomorrow and if I do it would be a tiny piece just because I'll be busy. But now I know there's an extra in the house I want it lol

Whenever you are really craving something, have it instead of a sensible meal. Works like a charm. :)

Don't even talk to me about cheese! I'm one of those people who only need a suggestion of food and I want it LOL I feel better about it now though. This is only my first cycle since ds4 and so only started the diet a few weeks ago. If I can finish off this cycle and go into the next with improved will power then I'll feel good about it.

Plus I think sometimes if you spend hrs thinking about it, eat some poor substitute, and then maybe still cave in that is much worse. Eat and enjoy! And I like Atomic's idea of knocking off a meal if it is a big treat:)

But my mentality is definitely very boy. I don't seem to feel any real kick from managing to stick on the diet on good days. But I do still love love love eating a big slice of cake, or fantasizing about the huge meal I will order when we are pregnant :)

Oh yeah no I know about this stuff I can see exactly why I have 4 boys.
I've also never dieted in my life so think this is going to take some time to get used to.

it gets easier - i have also never been on a diet in my life! There will be good days and bad days but remember that less is still less. Having less of whatever overall will still sway pink.

It gets better Mother of boys I promise you!!!. I really struggled when I first started the diet as I've never been on a strict diet either........... I just thought to myself, how can I ever stick to this diet!!!. Being honest, it did take about 2-3 weeks then I was ok with it all.
Deffo treat yourself at least once a week, I do :) and the bonus is...... Chocolate is good for a Pink sway ..... :)
Also cheese is Ok in moderation. My friend has cheese all the time and is vegetarian and has 2 girls :)
Good luck xx

To be honest, I've been on the diet since March and I'm only now feeling better about it. I realized this morning this is the longest I've ever attempted a diet and stuck with it (for the most part). Not snacking is getting easier (less snacking...I still do here and there because I also have no will power). It's like if I eat 2-3 chips, I end up having a crap load. I'm more likely to want to eat chips than sweets though.
Good luck, it will get easier as time goes on and you feel more confident and knowledgable about what's in food.

Exactly! how many times have I done THAT when I was dieting - try to be good, eat all my "diet" food and then say eh screw it and cheat like a madwoman anyway. Best to have the thing you really want and move onto the next thing feeling satisfied, even if it is over a little bit. Better to be over a little, than over by a lot!
