Hi girls! I'm new here. I was wondering if anyone has heard of extreme gender swaying? Here is a link where a lady was explaining the different methods. TTC a girl -Extreme Gender Swaying *3 methods- GDC, SU, and TBM in FAQ - EGS (Extreme Gender Swaying) Forum (http://www.in-gender.com/forum/thread.aspx?ID=5082) does this actually work? I'm stunned that women actually do this at home. seems very complicated haha

Personally havent heard of it, I am sure others here have because they are members of that website too. To be honest that all sounds way too complicated to me and I am surprised anyone has achieved pregnancy from doing that! Personally I wouldnt consider this but each to her own I guess. I am surprised the ladies husbands go along with it as well.

Don't do it!! I was active on there back in the day. Don't waste your time and money. Atomics sway plans are money well spent. EGS will send anxiety levels sky rocketing! Xx

ive just seen the link,. personally i think its medalling way to much with nature, id be scared incase all that messing about with the sperm would cause defects, i think unless your a qualified doctor in all of that then youd be best doing the natural methods or pgd with a doctor x

I've heard of these methods but I wouldn't bother with them, they add waaaay too much stress to the whole process which won't help

Many of us came from in-gender and I created this site because of the misinformation there. The data is outdated, based on studies that aren't accurate and the main thing that bothers me with these extreme methods is the use of child microscopes to find the "right" sperm. You CANNOT see the difference between XX and XY sperm with any microscope much less one from toys r us. Healthy sperm swim in straight lines. That site would have you try to select the sperm that swim in circles which aren't actually healthy sperm....it's all just so wrong it made me create my own site.
But to each their own, if buying a microscope from a kids' store makes someone think they are doing all they can, have fun with it!
They also recommend supplements for TTC a Girl that we believe sway blue. Too much calcium for one. Atomic has a great paper on the difference between our swaying method and theirs.

Don't worry I wasn't planning on doing it. I was going to purchase the le diet and go the natural route. I was just curious as to what everyone else's thoughts were on it. I honestly thought it was just craziness

Take it from us old IG members who have spent years on both IG and Gender Dreaming, the GD ways are much safer and yield much better results. The GD swaying methods are much more scientifically based and supported.
IG was taken as gospel because it seemed to be revolutionary for its time. GD is a great example of how a desire evolved into a possibility using science and common sense.
Word to the wise...IG can get MEAN...don't go there looking for genuine support for gender disappointment or desire. GD has done a much better job of keeping the support genuine and kind even when we agree to disagree.

EGS just doesn't work well. That's the bottom line.

Wow that is insane! I was a member on there but some of their methods seemed extreme and a lot of them are not very helpful. I love this site and ALL of the information!

I have an essay that talks about this here, in addition to the essay I have some more info in the comments about how it just isn't a great idea: http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/2598-how-do-tbm-why-you-probably-shouldnt-do-gender-swaying.html
I am not a fan of it at all. They ended up getting about 50-50 for pink and for blue, they did better but still about the same rate we are getting without it. AND it took people ages to get pg and there were a lot more miscarriages on IG, esp. among the blue swayers, than we have here.
