No nub, and even if I saw one, 12w 1d is a bit early. A flat nub can still rise at that stage.

No nub means unable to make an educated guess. Anything we threw out there for you would be no better than a coin toss.

A flat nub, or one that is parallel to the spine or lower indicates a girl, but only at a slightly later gestation. I feel most comfortable giving nub guesses for 13 weeks (unless the bay is curled up or upside down!) A nub that is greater than 15 degrees away from parallel with the spine is most likely a boy. In between is anyone's guess.
