Hello everyone. I just want to introduce myself. My name is Aymie, I'm 29, and live in Houston with my husband, Jay who is 35. We both have boys from a previous marriage. They're pretty much the same age and are in the same grade. Our sons became "brothers" around three years ago. My husband and I both became parents of two children with the experience of only going through pregnancy once. I never thought I wanted three kids at any point in time but the second child of which I have taken in has been a blessing. But after parenting these boys for a while, we always felt something was missing. Over the past couple of years, we have tossed around the idea of a third child...but we already know what it's like to have boys. I also never had any sisters, so naturally I have a yearning for a girl.
We are going to get off birth control soon (the pill) and I'd like to have a test month just to see how my body reacts. I want to make sure I start menstruating and going through one monthly cycle to make sure everything is fine with that before I start trying to get my body ready and conceive at the right times. It seems there are so many preliminary measures to take that I have to start getting ready now.
