So....After weeks on the LE diet my DH and I made our first attempt. It was quite the roller coaster. This is what we did....
1. I was taking RePhresh every 3 days (in between I was using a little Aci Jel). I was on the 3rd dose when we got the +OPK. (I had just taken the 3rd applicator at 10:30am that morning)
2. DH and I did Frequent release for 6 days before the +OPK came
3. I was on the 5th day of my Zyrtec when I got the +
4. Day of I took my Zyrtec at 4:00pm.
5. I took my bath, took 2 benedryl and gave hubby 2 benedryl at 8:00.
6. DH took his bath at 8:30.
7. At 9:00 we started the BD (we used a little KY)
8. He finally finished at 9:30.
9. I didn't D & J because we've been doing FR and I doubt there was an abundance produced anyway and didn't want to hurt chances too much.
10. I propped my legs up against the wall for 40 minutes (excessive but I wasn't taking chances)
Started testing around 7 or 8dpo I think. I was sick for a week with flu-like symptoms and a stuffy nose for the second week of my 2ww. I got some faint lines that appeared to be positive and took another one morning so I could get a dark + and suddenly got a BFN. Confused, I went to the doctor and got a blood test. Blood test came back negative. Not sure if I'm a victim of evap lines or if I had a cp. It was an emotional ordeal because for 4 days I thought I was pregnant only to find out I was not so I skipped this month to work hard on my LE diet and get my head back in the game. I was sad and upset so I ate BBQ ribs over Memorial Day (and leftovers for about 2 or 3 more days). After those 3-4 days I got my act together and got back on the diet. Fast forward and I now have 4 weeks until the next try and need some advice for how I should go about attempt #2. ADVICE WELCOME!!!!!! HELP PLEASE!!

With that strict a sway, my suspicion is that it was evap lines, but you never know.
ARe you READY to start dropping things?
Don't even worry about the BBQ, remember cheating is not only allowed but encouraged on LE Diet.

Hi Atomic! Yes, I'm ready to drop some things. What would you suggest I eliminate this time around? I want this time to be my BFP.... (Side note: There's a couple of days where I've eaten a small portion of chicken and fish too. I'm so glad to know that an occasional cheat it ok!)

i would def drop the RePhresh and the Zyrtec and Benedryl. Also for DH.
I think it decreased your chances of becoming pregnant too much.
No J&D seems perfectly fine to me.

You are doing a lot of things to lower sperm count. I would drop the Aci Jel and RePhresh and see what happens. I didn't do any vag potions with any of my kids.

Thanks so much ladies! So you all think I should come off both the RePhresh & Aci Jel and the antihistamines??...My sway would just include the LE diet and hot baths then or am I missing something? Also the combination of what to cut and whether to do the frequent release or abstain is the difficult part too.

Pick the thing (s) that are bugging you the most and drop that/those.
No one is saying you have to drop everything all in one month. fine to drop one thing this month, one thing next month, and so on.

I can't really say anything in particular is really bothering me. I was fine with doing everything the last time. I think I'm between either cutting the antihistamines or the rePhresh but don't know which one I should get rid of... ahhhhh!!!! Decisions!

Do you have lots of ewcm? If you do keep zyrtec up but only take it when you see ewcm not every day. I personally would not bother with rephresh good luck x

I agree with the above ladies - if you are looking for something to drop, drop the potions (refresh + acijel), also drop benedryl and stick with just the zyrtec. I'd also consider dropping the hot bath.
Doing LE diet + 1 attempt seems to be the best results right now. Everything else you do probably doesn't help THAT much and decreases your chances of getting pregnant.

This sounds good to me. No RePhresh and aci jel it is! I have a fair amount of ewcm so I'll just use the Zyrtec only and not the benedryl. I'm starting to feel pretty good about this go round!

One more question...Last time we did frequent release (we got 6 days in before I started O)...My hubby found it challenging. We could do the 7 day abstain but I'm not sure my hubby can last. Does anyone have any recommendations?

You could do the every 4 days
MamaLuv

Does that start as soon as you come off your period? Or do you count back from your O day 4 days so there's one attempt in the window?

I didnt think my hubby was capable of abstaining but the first attempt he went 10 days. He said it hasnt been all that bad but I think all the supplements he has been on has killed the urge quite a bit. We are headed into the second attempt and he has no qualms about abstain week. Good luck!!

Have hubby release every 2-4 days then have one attempt at pos OPK. I would have you try this at least a month or two before switching to BD every 4 days.

Atomic my +OPK should be on Saturday. We BD with condom yesterday. Do you recommend that we still space it out every couple of days (so like BD again Tuesday, Thursday, and then Saturday at +OPK OR wait to do it once more on Wednesday w/condom and then and BD at +OPK on Saturday) or should I just go ahead and have him release every day up until my +OPK on Saturday since we did it yesterday? My O dates have been coming like clockwork.
OH! One last thing about antihistamines. With the Zyrtec should I take them five days straight, one pill a day like I did last time?. Or just take one 4-6 hours before BD at +OPK? (I'm still eliminating Aci Jel and Rephresh and Benedryl.)

Having him release every day lowers odds of conception. It's your call to make.
I really really get nervous reading these posts with scenarios and details and elaborate plans, because they are so "control-freak-y" to me. None of it really makes any difference, no one's sway ever came down to DTD on Wed. vs. Thurs. that is why I like the reg. release with one attempt, it takes the planning OUT of the equation. don't put it back in!!
Zyrtec also your call to make. Using it = lower odds of conception, and results have been kinda so so - use it or leave it, up to you!

Gotcha! Thanks Atomic. We had a little oopsie yesterday (outside of me) so he's released both Monday and Tuesday. I'll make sure there's nothing shaking tomorrow or Thursday so he has plenty left by Saturday....Just for clarity are you saying that it really doesn't matter when he releases and when he does just make sure it's not inside of me until we have our one attempt at +OPK? I so hope I have that right! What a load off that would be!

Yes atomic! When I was reading through this thread I was trying to think of a nice way to say "take a breath! calm down!" I really mean this in the nicest way possible as I want you to get your dd, so I hope you hear my heart on this: stressing and being very detailed can seriously sway blue. I had a "kitchen sink" sway, it was so so strict and I ended up with am opposite, I think partly because I was so stressed and obsessed. Atomic's Mary/martha essay really opened my eyes to this!
Frequency (FR vs abstain) isn't swaying anywhere near as significantly as one attempt. It can be very stressful and therefore I'm not even messing with it this time around. So if it were me, I'd drop the FR, but you need to drop what you're comfortable with!

Thanks Carmella! I did drop it. I was like screw it but now I have a whole different set of problems. Last week I got a yeast infection. I can still feel it now. My attempt is on Saturday! :-( I'm not extremely uncomfortable, I've had WAY worse, and it's really not that bad. I read Atomic's post on yeast infections and was like oh crap! I would really hate to wait AGAIN! I also checked my pH yesterday and it was really low. I'm wondering what I should do. If I should keep checking it up until the attempt to see if it's stayed low or if it's slightly raised use a little Aci Jel and keep it moving. I've been following the LE diet, I've dropped a ton of weight, increased my cardio, and I did take an antihistamine yesterday to help dry me out some because I have some cm down there. Any thoughts on attempting anyone?

Yes, that's what seems to be shaping up here. and even if frequency does sway a wee bit, what I am trying to say loud and clear is that the level of obsessing you are putting into making this elaborate plan is hte type of thing that probably sways a lot stronger and harder than any difference between whether he released on Wed. or Thurs.

when in doubt, attempt. you never know, it may be God/the universe's way of serving up the perfect month for you and we basicaly outwit ourselves trying to wait for the perfect month - because it NEVER happens.
