I've been exercising like a demon even in the Cali heat (90+ degrees yesterday – ugh!). Yay, go me!
Only yesterday I noticed a super itchy, red rash between my breasts. Turns out, it's a yeast infection from them rubbing together as I exercise and sweat. Ewwww! I'm now forced to use jock itch cream on my breasts for the next two weeks. Wow, do I feel sexy or what?

Don't feel bad! I got that in my crack the first summer I was in Arizona. It happens to most of us who don't want to let the heat keep us from an active lifestyle. Some antifungal powder goes a LONG way to keeping the infection away. Good on you for including exercise in your sway! Keep it up :)

What part of Cali are you in?

Coconut oil & tea tree oil work great getting rid of it/keeping it at bay. Just melt a little coconut oil in your hand, add a couple drps if tea tree & put it on the yeast. Twice a day to get rid of it, once a day for a few weeks after it seems gone & every other day or so to keep it away. You could change it up with any other anti-fungal essential oil. Gold bond medicated also helps with prevention.

I get the darn things nearly every summer.

I had that FOREVER under one boob (well it sure felt like it!) when I was nursing my first son and doctors back then were so stupid that they had no clue what it was and said "your bra is rubbing you". So I just lived with it for like 6 months before I noticed that when I made sure it stayed really dry, it got better. o.O

Thanks for the commiserations and advice! The cream is slowing working. It's getting better... but still lovely and itchy. Bah. I'm baby powdering whenever I exercise now, too.

Hopingforaprincess - I'm in nor. cal...Silicon Valley. Thankfully, it's cooled down a bit here in the last couple of days. But I can only hope I fall preg soon, because running in the heat is going to be no fun as the summer goes on.
