Okay so this whole BFP has me baffled.

My first pos opk was on CD 10. It was positive for 3 days after (4 days in total).
Got my BFP on CD 20.

So, what DPO does that make me? I would have had to o very soon after my pos opk, I think.
Do you think it's possible to have o'd on CD 10/11, which puts me at 9-10 DPO at BFP (earliest I've ever gotten a BFP is 9 DPO). Even got a pos on a digital (says 1-2 weeks). BUT if I didn't o until 36 hours after pos opk, I'd only be like 7 DPO.

Do you think multiple pos OPK could mean hyper ovulation and the reason I got a BFP more quickly is 2 fertilized eggs???

I know it's super silly to over analyze this. It doesn't REALLY matter how many days I am, it's just this cycle is so completely bizarre I still can't believe I'm pregnant. AND I got my BFP 8 days before my expected period. I'm still in shock, I think.

Sorry I'm confusing....I'm just dying to know....good thing my sway is over, lol.

Not sure if there is actual truth to it but I've heard gettinga super dark opk could mean hyperovulation...some ladies on a board I read that had twinj reported super dark opks and positives for 3 days. I am not sure about early pregnancy test positives because you need to implant first no matter what and I'm not sure twins implant more quickly. Once you implant I can see it taking o my 24 hrs instead of 48 for a positive because you have two eggs doubling.

I'm slightly anxious about getting twins. It runs in my family and I've heard miscarriage increases chances of twins which I just had. I also had a super super dark opk so if that actually has truth...I'm probably screwed, haha.

Did you take any OPKs on CD8 or 9? And if so, were they negative? Personally, I think you O'd on CD10 or 11 and got your BFP on 9 or 10dpo. The FRER tests are pretty sensitive. My best friend just got her BFP on one at 11dpo and it was pretty dark. It definitely would have been a BFP if she has tested a day or 2 before. She'll be 8 weeks this week and will be getting her first U/S on Thursday so I'll let you know if there's 1 or 2 LOL!!!

Did you use any Internet cheapies at all? If it were me I think in this instance I'd use the one that had the darkest line before it started to fade as a reference (there won't be much difference in it). When you reach scan time they'll give you a due date, work it out using the due date they've given and see how close you were.

Because you got your BFP so early I'm thinking it *could* be twins! So exciting! Again, I'd be tempted to get a scan around 7-8 weeks to find out! Congrats! Keep us updated x

I used dollar store opks and tests. Once I got a pos on dollar store pregnancy test, I went and got frer. When I got a pos on frer, I got a clear blue digital with indicator. All in,one day, lol.

I didn't take tests before cd 10. Bc I usual don't get a pos until cd 12 or so. I was shocked to see it pos! Thought I may be dehydrated for it to be so glaringly pos. Stayed pos till cd 13 (not quite as glaring, but Def pos).

Guess I just have to wait and see. Maybe I'm one of the 5% who just caught the egg on the day of o!

Every preganacy is different (my new mantra).

I thought I had read that you used a digital test that gave you a 1-2 weeks, is that right? I herd that those are great indicators of twins because they will often read ahead of your gestation.

The odds of twins are very small. Do they run in your family? I freaked out because I have multiple risk factors for twins (advanced maternal age, mom who had twins, took folic acid for months prior to conception) but I was relieved to see that there was only one.

Frankly, if you're afraid of twins, only an ultrasound around 7-8 weeks will really reassure you. I hope it's just one in there!

My first pos opk was almost glowing, it was so pos.
I'm not worried about it, I'd be ok with twins :)
My paternal grandmother had twins (one passed at birth) and my mother's cousin had 3 sets (you think she would have stopped!).
I'm just analyzing my bfp Waaaaaay too much.

I'll most likely have an early u/s anyway. I had one at 5,6 and 8 weeks with ds1 and one at 5,6,12 weeks with ds2. I'm hoping to hold off till 8 weeks this time, but we shall see. I had at least 6-8 u/s with each of them.

I'm trying to hold out to take my next digital till next week.... I may cave....

I've been using opk's for quite sometime now (6years) internet cheapies. i've noticed that recently the have changed them (also The pg tests) and they seem more sensitive. If you had those its not weird to have 3 days positive. They measure the whole peak. From start to finish and started real soon..
You prolly O'ed within 12-36 hours from the first Positive OPK.

Wouldn't read to much in to it.

Thanks, sweetdream :) I've been using them for a few months and this is the first time I've had THAT many pos days. It's just weird to me that I o'd so early and know I'm pregnant a whole 9 days before my expected period. Ugh...makes the nine months seem THAT much longer, lol.

I know. I had a weird month too with OPK I try not to read to much in this.
Had major O-pains And O bleeding! (That one was new!)
But I think we shouldn't need to forget what swaying does to our body's.

There is absolutely no way to know without an ultrasound.

Yes, I think you are totally overanalyzing it. Maybe you Oed early. And I have seen a few people get pos pg tests at 7 dpo. We can't know which category you fall into and I would not immediately assume that you are having twins. :)

Dark pg tests and OPK do not mean twins. Yes, some people with twins do have early positives or dark tests but there are TONS of people who just have a high level of HCG (which is a good sign for a sticky pg)

oh, yes, I DEFINATLY o'd early, without a doubt in my mind. I'm done obsessing :) Thanks all for your feedback. I'd happily welcome twins, but I'm sure there's just a single baby in there (DH said OMG, if it's twins, please let them be twin girls!!!!)....praying for it to be healthy and sticky!!
